A man prepares to send his elderly father to a nursing home. The elderly man suffers from amnesia caused by Alzheimer's, struggling even to recognize his own son. However, at the nursing home, the elderly man attempts to make a cup of coffee with his deceased wife's recipe, prompting the man to step in at the chance of reliving a shared memory together.

For 10 years my friend's elderly neighbour went to visit his wife for breakfast. He never missed a day. Someone asked him why he did this even though she did not remember who he was. His answer broke my heart. He said "I go because I remember who she is."
Dementia is so cruel.

dementia is one of the worst condition because it robs the person of his memories as well as identity... the slow clogging up the memories till the person is a shell because all the memories are gone....however once in a while for a brief shinning moment -there is this spark which rekindled the memory...for the one suffering from memory loss, the family and friends should still treat the person as before....embracing the person regardless of memory is kind and compassionate
