Hi Samuel I agree the Ball Point pen you just presented are the Mercedes Benz And BMW of these BP Pen. The Sailor 1911 Ball point pen to me is like the MINI John Cooper Works. The experience is unique. Among all the MB AMG And BMW Motor Sport at the garage, I would Drive the MINI JCW My same reason For writing with the Sailor 1911 BP Pen Hehe 😊
Great stuff specially for guys like me with lower budgets and/or lifestyles that make it unpractical to use a fountain pen daily. Can you make a video explaining the side of the industry that supplies brands like Cerrutti, Hugo Boss, Pierre Cardin, and evaluate those options?
Idk I bought a Parker Vector fountain pen for 20 E, 20 years ago, and I'm still writing with it, I wouldn't call it prohibitive cost. I use it with a converter. Ink costs nothing. I also bought a lot more expensive things and different things but they've all been a waste of money. Should probably sell everything else.
I own a Tamitio and an Ecridor Retro, both fountain pens. They each have a very different feel in the hand but they both exude quality. I love them both and often cannot decide which one to use, so I keep different color ink in each of them and go with whichever color I prefer at the moment.
Glad you love your Tamitio. In that price range i reccomend Sailor Realo, Scribo Piuma, Otto Hutt design04 with 18kt Gold Nib, Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche with 18kt Gold Nib. Also The Pilot Custom 823 is also an absolute Must-Have for everyone.
I have an Ecridor fountain pen which I like a lot. I agree with what you said about their craftsmanship. I recently bought a Pro Gear and love it! (I also have a 1911 with a zoom nib). Sailor nibs are some of the very finest I’ve written with.
I find the price point of your 'entry-level' suggestions surprisingly high. Even the most exquisitely crafted writing instrument alone affords no guarantee of elegant penmanship.
Hi Jeff, on this channel, we talk about high end writing instruments. Writing Instrument made in a certain way, with certain kind of materials, of certain kind of brands. That's what i love and what probably my audience loves. A Swatch is more precise than a Vacheron Constantin. But someone interested in high end timepieces will never really feel a Quarz Watch if not just for fun. Spending between 100$ and 250$ for a nice writing instrument that will last a lifetime is entry level. Below that it's "consumable goods" that is fun and cool to use and maybe even perform well... but that's it. This is not meant to be arrogant, but there's got to be a difference between the two things, or nice writing instrument don't have a reason to exist.
Yeah I have Pro gear slim, its kinda small, and the prices increased recently. I imagine currently the sweetspot should be pilot pens, something like 742 or 912 is as low as 240euro and it has huge variety of nibs. And probably Custom74 is the best starter fountain pen as both 3776 and sailor increased their prices 😂.

Love the Caran d’Ache Ecridor Avenue ballpoint, which I obviously own 🥰🥰
Great piece!
love it!
Thanks Sunny!

👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 thanks for sharing this
Nice vid, thanks. I'm committed to the Sailor Pro Gear for performance. For luxury I'd vote for Graf.
❤️🙏🏼
I have the Tamitio and love it. I would be interested to hear your recommendations for that next level pen with a gold nib in the $500 US range.
