    The only thing to look for is the SVT badge on the trunk, the cobra badges on the sides, and the steering wheel that says "Cobra".
    And a 4.6 4V engine.

    Good video. Two days ago bought an convertible 302 (1994) and I love it. It needs a bit of work but the only thing I am concerned about is a transmission whine on 3rd gear. Life is extra difficult as I live in the UK 🤣🤣

    Bought my first Mustang in December. I'm 63 and you'd think I would have gotten a late 60's or early 70's. But I bought a 1995 GTS with aton of build in it. I love it!
    American made
    V8 efi (I'm over carbs)
    5 speed (T5, needs syncros of course)
    RWD (3:73)
    Nuf said ;)
    I used my used car buying skills of 45 years to weed out the trash. This video is a good start guys.
    Also, pick your target car and research to crap out of the year and model. TH-cam, online forums, customer reviews at online car review pages and mostly lots of looking at purchase contenders. Don't be afraid to walk away from a sale. You don't want someone else big problems.

    My 95 gt with 67,000 miles has an auto trans in it. The trans shit the bed when I was merging on to the highway. Just seemed weird for having low miles

    Yea watch for water leaks around the chain cover water pump port. Beware if it is and has been you can bet the bolt above and below the port are gonna break off. Mine did... went from changing the water pump n thermostat to changing the timing chain cover gasket and the timing chain while I was in there.

    Excellent video. Came across a 1995 Mustang GT 5.0 5-Speed for sale for $4.5K here in L.A. 1 owner but it almost has 200K miles on it, fully stock everything. From the photos, it looks good interior and body wise. The engine photos look good (a bit dirty but good). Thinking of taking a test drive. What should I expect on the upcoming maintenance on a 200K 28-year old car? Thanks in advance

      if it was well maintained and looked after the sn95 platform is pretty reliable. given it's 200k miles i'd check bushing and gaskets and anything rubber that could be shot. it's always a plus to bring an obd2 scanner

    Great video bro. I actually plan on going to look at a 95 procharged Cobra. What should I be on the look out for when it comes to one like that?

    • @lollis_garage3683
      @lollis_garage3683  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much the same thing I said in this video. Because the cobras still have the 302 but I’d definitely look over it really good to make sure the procharger stuff was done correctly

    Just got my 94 GT and sadly it sat for a while. Just did Plugs, Wires, Oil Change, Fuel Filter, and will be getting the strut tower/frame rail rust spot done. Ive noticed it has a weird idle. It starts off good, but then starts going down about 500 RPM after about 30 seconds after starting. Im thinking of changing the TPS, EGR, Etc.. Good vid though!

  • @joelvega9534

    Thanks for the video, I own a '94 v8 mustang. Looks new, just put a new convertible top last year. This gave me some good tips on where to inspect for rust and wear. I just had the rear bushings and control arms changed. On curves the rear felt like it wanted to slide off the road. I had an oil leak in the oil pan gasket & rear main seal. Do you have the original engine block? What do you think of Jasper remanufactured engines?
    Right now , like your wise friend said at 4:13, I need to re-evaluate my life. I can't help myself, I just keep pouring time & money maintaining and upgrading a vehicle that can easily be totaled if I get into an accident with shopping cart. Such is the life of an Sn95 owner!

      I’ll be 100 percent honest with you if your looking to go faster I’d either v8 swap it or save up and get a gt car, I’m not throwing off on the v6 cars but there’s not a lot of aftermarket out there for them.

    Quick question brother when you had your 18x9 and 18x10 rims what tire size did you actually run and with the 18x10 in the rear did you have any clearance or rubbing issues? Wondering cause I've been looking at changing the rims on my 95 gt stock suspension for now and not sure what tire sizes to run considering I still have 17" with 225 on the car how it was when I bought it. Thanks

    • @lollis_garage3683
      @lollis_garage3683  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I ran a 275/40/18 on the rear but you could go bigger and be fine even lowered! I think 315 is the max on a 10.5 rim.

    • @camworks9448
      @camworks9448 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alright I'll probably just do 275 for now . And for the front was it a 245/40/18??

    • @camworks9448
      @camworks9448 2 ปีที่แล้ว
