Ditto!
The little penguin (Eudyptula minor) is the smallest species of penguin.
It grows to an average of 33 cm (13 in) in height and 43 cm (17 in) in length, though specific measurements vary by subspecies.
It is found on the coastlines of southern Australia and New Zealand, with possible records from Chile.
In Australia, they are often called fairy penguins because of their small size.
In New Zealand, they are more commonly known as little blue penguins or blue penguins owing to their slate-blue plumage.
They are also known by their Māori name: kororā.
when
we went there this time last year. One of the best evening shows I've ever seen. absolutely brilliant, the penguins are beyond cute.
So cute!
So cute.
Yes!
I've been there. It was an amazing experience. One of the highlights of my life.
Love seeing them coming up out of sea. And going to their nesting ground
The ranger guides give special equipment so you can hear the history and binoculars so you can see these little penguins. The ranger who counts them, lets the guide know when and where the penguins are coming first. The penguins gather in the hundreds and cannot be seen when they are hundreds of feet away without the glasses. And you get a front seat. Don't leave home without them. And have warm clothes. You never know when the wind will blow cold. It is so awesome to be inches from wildlife. No cameras or touching. I am blown away the penguins ignore the people. And the people could be more respectful of the animals by being quiet and present to the awesomeness of the moment.
+Peggy Beauregard Thanks for the extra tips! This is one of our favorite experiences at Viator :).

Largest Little Penguin colony in the world in Victoria.
Go the Vics! ✌️
You should not take camera's flash! Because penguins have very sensitive eyes.
Yes beyond annoying seeing people doing that when I was there, despite them being explicitly told not to.

Lol. Nature is truly amazing, but I'm sure whatever god you worship is truly FAKE.
Who else noticed that they were at The Nobbies at the start, not the actual penguin parade place.
My aunt us to live in the island. They forces them all to move. This is when I first tried them

It's unacceptable that the only chances to see these beautiful creatures of god is by paying 25 dollars, even from the distance. It's a natural phenomenon and it's a shame that they put a price on that.
+Gioele Chiumento well no actually
two things
that money you pay goes to the scientists and conservation programs to protect the penguins from predators and diseases
you can see them for free at the 12 apostles, st kilda wharf, jervis bay, tasmania, throughout may places they migrate to
fairy penguins have nothing to do with God or Easter Bunny or Thor or Santa Clause or Fairies, can't you just accept them for their natural beauty instead of trying to give credit to some random deity invented by ancient human imagination thousands of years ago when we didn't know better and thought the Earth was the center of the universe?
Gioele Chiumento It’s $25 you cheapskate.
Money is needed for facilities to protect the animals and reaseach. You never know they were there to enjoy this beautiful part of nature so paying 25 bucks to see them yea is a bargain. You can always go to sea world and see them in a tank.

"Scientists and conservation programs"?
Just a fancy way to say funding for agendas free money for those people.
these pinguins are going to extinct because of cats killing them, cats introdused by conoliners
