Use the new OBD2 socket on your car it’s a lot easier. The 622gw does not come with the dust over on the front it’s either to save money or the environment they say.

What was the reason for aligning the mount with the rearview mirror? Isn't the Nextbase's camera further to the left anyway?
Your right, just personal preference.
I believe the 622gw has a built in battery/ballast which means you don't need constant power, it should be wired to an ignition controlled fuse, I also believe it has a motion sensor which initiates record capable of running of of the internal battery/ ballast this is as per what the agent told me when I purchased this complete kit myself yesterday, can you confirm as I was told the warranty is void on this 622gw unless you use the actual nextbase Micro sd card they don't tell you this until your about to pay for it which adds an extra €60 to the cost, other than this I shall be installing the front and rear camera at the weekend and looking forward to seeing how good its recording quality is, thanks for the installation guide.
Thanks for watching! Your correct with the internal battery and the motion sensor. I just myself decided to wire it direct to power. Not sure about voiding the warranty if you don't use there memory card, but I do know they highly recommend you do. Love my setup and the peace of mind when leaving my land cruiser unattended. Thanks for the video. My concern is does this drain the battery? I brought portable power bank so when my car is off on park mode, for it to record . Would you’d ay this is also an alt. Option? I am worried about my battery on my Jeep Wrangler.
I'm running a bigger AGM battery. It doesn't pull that much power but I would monitor your battery if you decide to leave it on constant power. I also put my battery on a trickle charger every two weeks to maintain my battery. A portable power bank would save your battery just incase! Keep me updated!
just trying to update the firmware is a pain, cant even skip that option, any advice?
I plug my camera directly to my computer to update it and use the software. Easiest way to do it.
Can we remove the ‘round’ plastic piece near the mini usb on the main power cable( cigarette lighter cable)?in your video the cable is at 3:24

They do have an interior facing camera. Don't think side to side actual shot.

Thanks for watching. I have an update lager AGM 100ah battery installed in my Land Cruiser which last charger longer. I don't have a battery monitor for my battery other than the oem dash gauge to measure how much overall power it pulls. I suggest making sure your battery is completely charged before hard wiring to direct power. Just incase!

When the car is stationary, the dashcam automatically goes into sleep mode how to resolve this? This happens a lot in back to back traffic when the car is moving slow!
Any clue how to fix this ?
Mine stays on all the time because I have constant power to it. It only goes into screensaver mode but stays recording. There's also a Auto power mode you can turn off and on.
Have you been able to figure this out ??
Do you have to turn the power on manually whenever you start the car or does it turn on automatically?
I have it connect to direct power with the hard wiring kit. If it's mounted on the mount it stays powered. You can hardwire it to an accessory power, for it to turn off and on with your ignition.
@@MisterMemo I plan to remove the camera from the mount when not in use because I only want to record driving. If you hardwire it, does the mount drain any meaningful power when the camera is removed?
How do you know which fuse slot to put it in?
Pick a fuse slot that meets the fuse size and one that comes on with the ignition. The fuse box cover will indicate locations of each fuse.

How do we know the dash cam is recording?
Mine automatically is setup to record. There's a record icon saying it's recording.
Are you able to use this unit cable free ? And if so how long will you get from the battery 🔋🤔Roughly ? Kindest thanks. Just dont want wires everywhere.
I know the unit has a built in backup battery but I've yet to see how long it stays on after removing it from the power base. I have direct power connected to my base at all times.

My Nextbase keeps going into a loop on start up. Not sure what's up. Plays the jingle over and over, never progresses past logo screen.
Wonder if you can reset it? Reach out to Nextbase support. I’m sure they can help out.
@@MisterMemo Only thing that temporarily sorts it is a reformat of the microSD
The SD card is not compatible with the camera, or the SD card is damaged.

Dude, how good would this video have been if this guy had actually opened the box and checked read any of the instructions before filming this video. He was constantly surprised by what he was seeing. I was almost comical!

Nextbase 622 is freezing regulary once twice a day.Using recomended Nextbase memory card.Dissapointment for over than 300euros.

Yes ...my fail from the unboxing and these guys don't even have a good customers service to return the crappy cameras ...I been with stupid email from them for 2 +months and still can't return that crap ...sorry my French...but their service sucks ..
