Today, on this very special episode of The Ranveer Show, we welcome Ruchir Sharma. He is an investor, author, fund manager, and columnist for the Financial Times. He is also the Chairman of Rockefeller International and Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Breakout Capital, an investment firm focused on emerging markets.
In this episode, we talked about the current political scenario of India and what are his views towards India’s economic growth. We talked about the subject of economics, the views of extreme left vs. extreme right, the work of the previous government vs. the work of the current government, the reason behind China’s extensive growth in the 80s, India in 2020, his opinion on the BJP government, and much more.
This was a geopolitical special with Ruchir Sharma where we delved into all the economic and political aspects of the nation. I am pretty sure that we have found another all-star for TRS. I hope you will enjoy this amazing episode and do share your thoughts in the comments below.

I agree with his observation. Even being a BJP supporter. True travel speaks. He understands India so well.
I am beginning to feel really taxed. First out of 100rs, 33rs goes to income tax. I have 67rs in hand then another 18rs in gst on any product I buy, probably another 1rs in tolls and other fees. So literally 52% tax we pay. Even if I don’t spend and save in fds or shares, the money made is again taxed.

    Hello Ranveer
Congratulations first of all for the prestigious award you bagged, you truly deserve it.
I have been your subscriber since the beginning, and I felt so proud seeing you up there.
The beauty of getting Mr.Ruchir on your show,is that he is reporting about India, where it all happens, where it unravels, from the ground, based on his first hand experience.
I always want to hear from people who are primary ,first hand observers of a phenomenon or process or whatever we may have at hand.
Not to say that I support Mr.Ruchir in whatever he stated, but I am simply appreciating that you sought information, primarily political, from someone who works on the field.
    Remarkable as always, Ranveer.
    Wish you all the best!

Although we will get the results soon enough on June 4. This lack of wave point was brought about in 2019 as well in addition to negative repercussions of demonetization. That did not really prevent BJP from coming back with greater majority. Similarly this "lack of wave" can be alternatively interpreted as a silent confidence in BJP among voters. Meaning, no one is really discussing or debating too much, just going out there and pressing the button on voting machine.

    3. I don't think there is another option. INDIA alliance itself scattered. if it comes to power, we will be just watching another drama for power. in addition to that a party with no unity won't be capable of ruling a country which is diverse in origin.

Ranveer since you were analysing the BJP's narrative of development, why did you not challenge the narratives that the international media are peddling against India?
Why do we have to accept the opinions of his left-leaning writer friends without challenging them?
Dr. Jaishankar in his recent podcast with ANI news stated that "if the international media ever praises you, you need to be worried that you're doing something wrong for your country". These are the words of the EAM, and here you are accepting opinions from a finance guy who does not live and work in India, who does a week long yearly tour in India to base his assessments and critiques, who wants to capitalise on India's growth but presents his opinions in such a way as to appease his leftist friends. In fact this is a similarity I find between you and him.

The Fundamental Values of Academic Integrity describes these core values in detail. And out of many key quotes that contribute to the foundation of Academic Integrity's core beliefs are as following:
Fairness: - INJUSTICE anywhere is a THREAT to JUSTICE everywhere. We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. WHATEVER affects ONE Directly, affects ALL Indirectly.-- Martin Luther King, Jr.
Honesty:- One word of TRUTH outweighs the WHOLE world.-- Alexander Solzhenitsyn

Responsibility: - The Willingness to Accept Responsibility for One's OWN Life is the SOURCE from which Self-Respect Springs.-- Joan Didion
Respect: - Let EVERY person be RESPECTED as an Individual and NO person IDOLISED. -- Albert Einstein

Was the media pro government before 2014? Did they blacklist anyone who speaks against the government as anti-nationals prior to 2014? Anna Hazare’s protest which created a major dent to the UPA government was widely supported and publicised by the “4th pillar” of our democracy but the same “4th pillar”couldn’t stand farmers protest or Sonam Wangchuk’s protest in Ladakh. However let's take my point - Can you criticize mamata in kolkata and prohpet muhammed and walk freely? We have seen so called farmers block roads for months, causing diruption to economy. Yet, not one single farmer was jailed.
The fact that you do not know the reference I am giving does not make the reference itself invalid.
