Japan, Germany, Italy. The US never engaged into war with France. France is an ally. I just wished to correct the answer for whomever is listening to this interview so you do not answer the wrong answer. Nonetheless this is great training, thank you.
Samira Asdad If your trip lasted more than 180 days, you may have violated the conditions of you legal permanent residence. I suggest that you contact an immigration lawyer. LIST OF PRO BONO LEGAL SERVICE PROVIDERS www.justice.gov/eoir/list-pro-bono-legal-service-providers
Benjamin Opare-Darko he is welcome! He needs to live here as a legal permanent resident for 5 years before he goes for his citizenship interview. Good luck to your friend!
Every interview is different. The officer can ask you every question on the N-400 plus definitions plus 10 civics question and a reading/writing sentence. However most interviews only take 10-12 minutes. The officer want to verify your personal info and confirm that you are eligible to become a US citizen. To be we’ll be prepared, study the N-400 part 12 definitions and be able to explain them. The officer may ask you to define two to three words, but this is just to verify that you understand what you are saying. Study a little bit every day, sleep well the night before, and go to the interview with a peaceful heart. Good luck.
I understand you wanted to show some respect for the late Republican Senator John McCain with the best of intentions. As a spouse of a disabled Vet, I admire some parts of his actions. BUT you are definitely representing here where you are standing politically. Hopefully you don't mislead people who are coming here just for information on Citizenship. Again, I understand you wanted to inform the Vietnamese of his sacrifice.
I just saw this comment (otherwise I would have responded much earlier). My religious background (Roman Catholic), ethnic heritage (euro-american), education (2 MAs), socio-economic status, (middle class) political beliefs (democrat / feminist), etc. inform my pedagogy. On rare occasions, I tap my life experience directly and comment on topics related to Citizenship. I could easily use this channel to advocate for political platform, but that would be a gross dis-service to people who are trying to prepare for citizenship. In everything I do, I try to keep the focus on the Citizenship students.
The interviewer will speak fast. You can ask him/her to slow down. You can also slow down a video by changing the playback speed in the video settings.
Yoses Febie Kambong many American speak quickly. You do not have to speak quickly. Think before you speak. If you don’t understand, and the officer to slow down or repeat the question
Some of my students are fluent in English but have problems with writing (even in their own language). So I am planning a series of videos about reading and writing which will hope come out later this January.
