When you use technologies like Enterprise Social ones you connect people, work out loud (or at least in a more visible way), and you create opportunities where individuals in an organization can find other individuals doing similar work, or tackling similar problems. In these scenarios the value generated when the two or more individuals connect and build on each others work, insight, ideas or understanding often is called 'serendipitous' in how it is generated. :)
