There's a further update to story 3: She left her fiancé for the guy at work and he actually is divorcing his wife (more like she is divorcing him)... But it turns out he was lying to OP and dating a bunch of other women as well as her. Is anyone shocked? OP apparently was.
OP is now back to saying she realises ex-finance was the love of her life. She reached out to him but he turned her down (good on him!). Apparently she has 'learned from her actions' and is 'moving on'.

For the stalker guy, had he kidnapped her, he 100% would’ve SA’d her under the delusion that she was in love with him. It also very likely would have turned to murder if she ever convinced him that she wasn’t in love with him or if he decided that if he couldn’t have her, then no one could. I’m extremely glad that the OP was able to get out of that situation and move before anything happened. And that she had some incredible therapy and has, hopefully, come out of this relatively okay.

Possibly an unpopular opinion on story 1: I think cancelling the birthday dinner at the high end French restaurant was a completely reasonable response. There's no sense in wasting money to buy high quality food that she's not even capable of appreciating (what she did to the steak proves that she can't - no one with an appreciation for good food could ever bear to destroy legit wagyu steak (at worst, you might cook it and eat it all yourself)).

I really can't believe Amanda started her opinion on story three with "Of course what she did isn't right, but there are BIGGER issues here."
She cheated on him. Repeatedly. That is, overwhelmingly, the biggest issue here. Are there other issues? Sure? I guess? But not a single one of them is bigger than the fact she repeatedly cheated on him.
Like, playing devil's advocate for a woman who betrays her partner over and over and over and over with the mentality of "Well, she clearly isn't getting what SHE needs from the relationship" is baffling to me. If she isn't getting what she needs, she should leave. That's it. That's the *only* acceptable response to her situation, if she finds herself in one like that.
Not to mention, there is absolutely zero evidence that she wasn't "getting what she wanted." By her own admission, she felt like her partner was "perfect" and she repeatedly begged him not to leave her. So giving her some imaginary out is just .. kind of a bad take, frankly.

a few points on story 3...
    1. Shayne is absolutely correct. The previous relationship has to end to even consider a new one, and they should've been in couples counseling before even considering marriage or a new relationship to begin with.
    2. 23:18 - 23:31 I hope this is just a misread of the situation. There is never a good excuse to cheat. There are never wider circumstances that make it okay to cheat over just leaving. If you aren't satisfied with *part* of your relationship, ask if you can open up the relationship. If not, then you need to just leave. It's not good for either person to continue a relationship where you're only satisfied by hurting your partner.
    3. The demands are a lot. I understand why he has trust issues, but I don't think this is a relationship worth saving. She deliberately went behind his back to rekindle a friendship she knew would make him uncomfortable. That's all I really needed to know. He was uncomfortable for a valid reason, and she did it anyways. It reads as selfish and inconsiderate of her partner's feelings.
    4. the updates... oh the updates... that poor, poor man.

What do you mean the first guy is the ass hole bc he didn’t pay for an expensive dinner after his gf destroyed something he was looking forward to and spent a lot of money on. and why are they saying that she could have a reason that they just don’t know about yet. There's a difference between "this is a red flag against the relationship being able to continue in a healthy way" and "this is a red flag that you specifically are toxic and abusive". The cast was clearly leaning toward the former based on when and how they decided to throw the flag. Fundamentally setting rules like a curfew, check ins and access to all devices and accounts means that whether or not setting them makes you the "problem," without serious counseling for both of them and actual healthy boundaries, this relationship is doomed and can't ever truly be repaired.

Yes, it is sh*tty that he's holding that fact that they're living in his house over her. However, it's not like he was just dismissing that. He very plainly says he communicated with her that he'd like to talk about it. Just when he has a more even head. Which I personally don't see the issue with. The girlfriend jumped straight to being vengeful with steaks she knew he was excited about. That's an enormous red flag to me. That her first instinct was revenge after he said he'd like to still discuss the issue. I don't even see him cancelling the dinner as vengeful tbh. Third story: the boyfriend has suffered betrayal trauma. When she cheated it was a huge betrayal. The fact that he got back with her is something she should have been extremely grateful for. So when she basically betrays him AGAIN by rekindling a friendship behind his back, she should expect to be dumped. She knew that being friends with this guy was wrong, or she wouldn’t have done it behind his back. So honestly, his demands aren’t insane. They are what he needs for her to rebuild trust. If she were to comply with them, I think eventually he would relax them as trust returned.
Even more honestly, she’s betrayed him twice. Learn the lesson and leave her. She isn’t ready for a committed relationship with him.
