Hi Uncle. Good to have the BRV for Genting Run. Just my suggestion, best is also have a drive with full load 7 adult video to try the power measurement to climb Genting to compare with similar competitors. Driven a rented BRV once but not full load up Genting. To me power is good enough. BRV is built at affordability sense so the car generally is noisier due to lack of built-in NVH. New owners may need to enhance the NVH out there. Have a plan to own one too.
I don't even have 7 people in the entire organization. Anyway we do not do comprehensive testing for all angles and loads. You would have to pay us to do such a test. So what you see is what you get. Otherwise we would be doing 10 videos for each vehicle and spend a month testing one car.
@@YSKhongDriving haha.. Ok noted, thank you for explaining, uncle. Just a suggestion. Seems to be a bit of a challenge there so no wonder no such video. Anyway I still enjoy watching you driving them tackling Genting uphill. Good drive uncle. Wait for your next video.

I wonder how long to wait if I book now? they informed me just after Chinese New Year, it is out of booking due to facelift matter, it needs to wait until June only the new modal will become out, if this is true, Mitsubishi Xpander is a better choice.
Tue BR -V is like a Honda City on stilts. Same engine and transmission, and 120 horsepower. The Rush is more hardy and has a very strong chassis. If you want better power, it's the BRV and if you want reliability and a car that goes on forever, it's the Rush.
Hi uncle im thinking of buying my first car in about 1-2months. been doing extensive research. i wonder if you've done any testing on honda mobilio or whether they have that in msia. im kind of set on the BRV/mobilio because it seems to be the fastest/snappiest suv in this price bracket, i'm a snappy driver so i'd enjoy a car with some decent acceleration when needed to do overtaking in the hectic bangkok streets (but generally I let the car slowly accelerate when needing high speeds), drive a family around (planning to start a family in a couple of years/option of bringing the grandparents as well), can't be too big an SUV cuz wife wants to drive it too (we rented the fortuner last year and she commented it was far too big for her). I also don't like spending too much so I'll be looking at a 2nd hand 2015-2017 car. are there are differences about the 2 cars (brv vs mobilio) that you especially want to highlight? if not, would this car be the best car for my budget? thanks uncle for taking the time to read and reply!
also, i must say i really don't mind the sound at all. i actually like hearing the engine, it's like you're playing a game u know when u step the gas u hear some nice natural bass haha. how's the comfort and suspension compared to other suvs in this price range?
The Mobilo is not available here. Only the BR-V. It is a great car if you are looking for a 7 seater, but a young man like you might find the Jazz or City more exciting.
But if you want to start a family and want to take the parents along, the BRV would be great. If you can get the Mobiliobin Bangkok, that would be better because you can get more space.
@@YSKhongDriving thanks for reading and taking the time to reply uncle. I rented a city in 2019 and absolutely loved how exciting it was- pickup was snappy; and had significantly much more fuel economy than I ever remembered with any other car. maybe 4-7 hrs of total road time travelling to other states and didn't spend much to top up the petrol before returning it to the rental company. but then again, i'm thinking more long term use of the car, maybe in the next 5-10 years and I'll have a wife, maybe 1-2 kids, 2 grandparents, 1 sis-in-law, 1 uncle. max 5 adults 2 kids. so it'd be nice to have a vehicle to ferry us all when it's needed, but I still like a snappy drive, and read that the BRV/mobilio has the same engine as the city/jazz! hence i've more or less narrowed it down to the BRV :D (previously comparing vs avanza - i.e. very reliable i read) I think you mean that the BRV has more space? a number of sources ive been reading up on has the BRV on longer length, wider width and taller height.
I was going to rent the 1.5l model to go up Genting with 6 people inside. But it's the old one not this one eh. So how does it climb Genting, cos I observe the horsepower for the same litre is not bad. And it's lighter than the Toyota Rush Question how many Litre is this car?

Both the Avanza & my brother's 2003 Unser has the same steering system & yes, it's slower than usual, with 4 turns lock-to-lock compared to most Protons & Perodua which has 3.0-3.5 turns lock-to-lock, yes, there's more wheel twirling but you get used to it. During my student days in Australia, I drove a heavy manual steering Ford Falcon with 5.5 turns lock-to-lock, now, try that for wheel twirling!!!

Straight pipe hahah u dont hear the engine noise during the review la, aruz i can even hear t gear changes from outside when my neighbour drives it, n aruz are much slower going up hill than brv, yes brv maybe loud cuz the insulation not that good, but if u have many load going up hill aruz cant never keep up with brv high revs, well honda known for high revs, so for me its ok,
hanief noor it’s obvious that honda has more power than the aruz and that’s why it may be faster when going uphill. I just point out that engine noise is loud because maybe because it has less sound insulation.
Underpowered for a 7-seater. Zero sound insulation, road noise and traffic noise very audible. Dust gets in cabin too easily. Dashboard and rear seats rattles. Thin rubber door seals.
