Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.
Sultan Süleyman wants to show what kind of sultan he is by the commands he gave on the first day of his sultanate. But not everyone will like these decisions. Sultan Süleyman does not hesitate to challenge all of Europe with the messages he sends.
Alex, despite all his rebellion, is brought to the Topkapi palace. His attitude attracted the attention of Valide Sultan from the first moment. Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

Mahidevran and the Valide were both right.
Mahidevran was the author of a lot of her misfortune by the way she chose to react to the slights against her and act to protect her position. However, the Valide was being unreasonable to expect Mahidevran to exert a dominant amount of control on Mustafa when the Valide herself can't exert any control on Suleiman and hasn't been able to for a long time.
Don't forget Suleiman did not begin to go his merry ways breaking laws for Hurrem UNTIL he became the ruler. The decision of the king supersede the law. While he was a prince, he obeyed his father implicitly.
@@kayodewa That is true however, the Valide and Mahidevran put Mustafa in a position when from a very young age he had to fight battles he should not have known existed.
From age 10 onwards, he became Mahidevran's protector in her relationships with Suleiman and Hurrem and the Valide encouraged this and gave positive reinforcement when he took control of these situations.
Mustafa parented Mahidevran not the other way around and now the Valide expects him to defer to his mother's authority when he has been independent most of his life? Never going to happen.
M should have been sent to a different palace long ago. Mustafa was seldom in the palace. They send them away quite young. They should not be allowing them to insert unless a pregnancy can continue. Gosh.

Mahidevran is the actual victim of the series...she was a good lady in series as well as in real history....she did what to hurrem was a reaction of every woman whom husband is shared by another woman after her...what about hurrem, she did worst then mahidevran whenever there was another woman in sultan Suleiman life after hurrem...hurrem was actual witch who tried to kill all shahzade mustafa for her children... shahzade mehmed was not killed by mahidevran in real history but shahzade mustafa was executed by the conspiracies plotted by hurrem and rustem pasha...the only difference is that sultan Suleiman was a very unjust who only looked towards hurrem and her children while don't even loved mahidevran after hurrem came to his life and forgave each and every mistake of hurrem while punished mahidevran for her any mistake...and the people who says that mahidevran was happy when Suleiman was on death bed, it was her right bcz he never gave her rights to her and as a woman I will stand with mahidevran bcz she was only concerned for her son as a mother but was not about her husband bcz he didn't gave her respect and her right place....if I was on place of mahidevran, I would have surely killed sultan Suleiman but look what fate has done, his and hurrem son cihangir died in grieve of Mustafa and shahzade bayazit was executed by his brother by the orders of his father....this was their punishment from Allah

Betrayal? It was not Efun's fault that she fell in love with Mustafa. She never told anybody about Hürrem's m*rder attempt. Only shortly before she died because Hürrem was so thirsty after revenge that she managed to have both Efsun and her baby k*lled.
I can't believe this is not Valide real voice. Nebahet Cehre voice is so soft in real life. In this series, she used someone else voice.

Valide was not on Mahidervan’s side by this point. She was more neutral almost because she did try to protect Hurrem’s children in the previous episode especially after Mahidervan’s true colors were shown.
Also as shown in later episodes, having a grand baby of Suleiman in no way made you safer in this game. Nor did you have some weapon to destroy your rival. Mustafa had a young son who died after him. Bayezid had many sons who died with him. Selim only had one son and won the game with the support of Nurbanu. In history, Mehmet had a daughter before he died, she was an influential woman. In actual history she’s the one who gave her cousin, the future Murad III, a certain concubine who would be known as Safiye Sultan.

Mahidevran and Gulsah were in some serious trouble with Mother Sultana when they didn't follow orders to get rid of the problem with Efsun and her unborn child after the secret pregnancy got exposed. 😮
Mother Sultana wasn't happy at all with Mahidevran after Hurrem went to Mother Sultana about Efsun's secret pregnancy after Gul Agha told Hurrem about it after he heard the midwife and Sumbul Agha talking. OMG!
Secret pregnancies was forbidden back then when there are suspicions going on when a family dynasty would put women and their unborn children in danger when it's horrific for women to go through dangerous abortions and passed away in horrific ways as well too. Things got worse for Sumbul, the midwife, Efsun Hatun, her unborn child and Fatma Hatun when the four of them got caught red handed for an attempted escape plan when Daye Hatun and Mother Sultana knew something fishy was going on with Efsun's secret pregnancy. The four of them had to keep quiet until Daye Hatun stops them in their tracks 👣 when the four them got into trouble for escaping so they can prevent on Efsun's unborn child and also Efsun's life from attempted murder/death the second time. OMG 😲 😱 😲 😱!
This was a dangerous life and death situation when Efsun Hatun couldn't escape from death the second time that left Prince Mustafa Sultan grief stricken when he couldn't save his girlfriend and his unborn child the second time from a dangerous/attempted murder abortion.
Mahidevran Sultan couldn't escape from Mother Sultana's wrath when Mahidevran got herself into some serious amount of trouble for hiding Efsun Hatun's secret pregnancy. Prince Mustafa was about to become a father and tragically it got taken away from him the second time when these women became baby killers by Mother Sultana's, Daye Hatun, the midwife, Mahidevran Sultan, and Gulsah Hatun when these women took things away from Prince Mustafa and Efsun Hatun in a brutal and tragic manner. 😥
Valide Sultana told Mahidevran Sultan to follow rules immediately to murder Efsun's unborn child after the four people got caught red handed by Daye Hatun for attempting to escape Efsun and her unborn child away from the Harem Palace.

If Mustafa had been a Sultan, that would be different. As prince, he wasn't allowed to get any woman pregnant. While his father is in power, they all live under the Sultan's rules.
Suleyman was technically not supposed to marry Hurrem because she was a concubine, but he did it anyway because he loved her and had the power to get away with it.

They can only have babies once they govern their on Sanjak (province). Even Mehmet concubine got pregnant while he is still living in the palace and was force to abort the baby.
Why they were want to killed the child of efsun
A sehzade (prince) isnt allowed to impregnate a girl until he leaves to be sancak bey („Commander“ of curtain places like Manisa,Amasya,etc)
