Meanwhile, a galley loaded with slaves coming over the Black Sea is heading towards Istanbul. The hottest of the slaves is not yet aware that he is on a journey that will change his destiny. He is rebelling helplessly to return.

Sultan Süleyman, padişahlığının ilk gününde verdiği buyruklarla nasıl bir padişah olduğunu göstermek ister. Ama bu kararlar herkesin hoşuna gitmeyecektir. Sultan Süleyman ise gönderdiği mesajlarla, tüm Avrupa’ya meydan okumaktan çekinmez.
Alex, tüm isyankarlığına rağmen, Topkapı sarayına getirilir. Onun bu tavrı ilk andan itibaren Valide Sultan’ın dikkatini çeker. Ama Alex’in sarayın kurallarını öğrenmesi uzun sürmez. Kendisine büyük bir hedef seçer. Alex, Sultan Süleyman’ın karşısına çıktığı ilk gecede onun ilgisini çekmeyi başarır. Sultan Süleyman’ın eşi Mahidevran ise Manisa sarayından yeni gelmiş. Eşi ile görüşmeyi sabırsızlıkla beklemektedir.

I think gulsah didnt know her place, being in the presence of the sultanas every day gave her a big head and she felt she should be like one of them.

The abject stupidity that Gulsah seems to be made of entirely is repetitive, annoying and begs question after question. Why does Mahidevran still trust her or have her around? How many times has she humiliated her (sometimes even worse than Mahidevran routinely humiliates herself) ? Why has she not been thrown out of the palace or even worse...silenced forever for her dangerous nature? And when I say dangerous I only mean her low intelligence and seeming inability to do anything right. Gulsah may be the most hapless character in this story.
Gülsah is a bit dumber version of Mahidevran.

This was a women power issue between Daye Hatun and Gulsah Hatun when they become rivals to each other when it comes to one of them serving Mother Sultana as a servant and chamberlain and chamber maid also when Gulsah got served by Daye when Gulsah couldn't slander Daye at all. Daye Hatun did a good job raising Nigar Kalfa as a daughter figure when the mother and daughter relationship between them is very loving ❤️ 😍. Daye Hatun also wanted to send Nigar Kalfa away to a ranch to live there because she was trying to do what is best for Nigar Kalfa, Daye's daughter figure that Daye loves dearly and very much that she raised as her own. ❤️

No, it's not. Daye betrayed Valide because in that time, Valide is biased toward Hurrem and even made maiden burn Hurrem's face. Daye is typical who always followed rules to the core and she think Valide made chaos rather than stability, so she chose to defend Hurrem.
