Thanks for going hands on with one of our latest chassis. Some subtle items that some may miss are The fans are not just 140 but also 28mm thick offering much greater airflow and static pressure than other chassis fans, in our internal benchmarking they outperformed the highly regarded Noctua iPPC 140mm fan. The 4000D iCue version with triple 120 aRGB fans is the same MSRP as our GT302 ($149.99). Consider we are the same price and all the other items noted and we feel we are offering a compelling option. 1. The front filter is a much higher grade than competitors, we use PET vs cheaper Nylon or Vinyl it offers superior performance 2. The USB connector is certified for 20Gbps ( noted in the video as USB 3.2 Gen 2 ) 3. The included vertical bracket is a nice addition and competitors like NZXT sell this accessory for 20 dollars 4. The side panel is tooless ( neither the 4000D or the LANCOOL 216 are ) We are evaluating Daisy Chain type fans but for the intended target audience it does not make sense, we would not want to introcuue this to a more entry or mid range segment like TUF GAMING as it provide no immediate value while increasing cost. You can build a BTF advanced system n the 302 ( minimal cables ) without these type of fans and it would offer essentially the same aesthetic. Also unlike competitors a key value of traditional fans is no controller is required meaning you can use direct UEFI BIUOS control for fans. We would also note these fans offer superior performance to current daisy chain aRGB fans so while you could get a potentially ease of cable you would reduce performance. Thanks again for your time and going hands on with TUF GAMING GT302, appreciate your time, effort and detaiiling.
It's nice to see EATX support in a case like this. It's giving me a mix of fractal and Phanteks design which is actually nice. Awesome review as usual my man. I hope you and the fam also have a great holiday!
Also second comment vs editing for the algo. Glad you cleared up the 4000D part. It's wild though how long that case has been popular. 011 too, talking like 2016/17 on the 011
@@techwandoUS Thank you for the extra comment man. Much appreciated. Yeah you are right about the O11!! We've had the same trends for a long time now. Good point!
i don't even need to think twice when using Asus chassis, most of their chassis are one of a kind. AP201, GT502, PA602, all these are supreme top notch quality will excellent airflow. As for this case the modularity is insane and I like the fact that Asus do listen. not having grill slots but a real open area for the top fans, same applies to the front. Just that this case need regular cleaning to keep dust off. other than this, it's well build, extremely good quality..
Thanks for being #TeamTUFgaming best of luck with the build! Consider sharing in our PCDIY community group for a feature inn our PCDIY builder spotlight.
Ok that’s wayyy better than the 4000d!! I had the the 4000d and loved it at first but then really started to hate it when I bought a 360 aio and couldn’t mount it up top. Then I couldn’t mount 3 lian Li sl120 fans without some hacky methods lol. I do also like how well vented that case looks! The stock ASUS fans I’ve had in other cases actually are pretty good for airflow. 10/10 would buy this case over the 4000d. Not to mention the temps on the 4000d kinda suck and there’s not alot of room
Dont hit me with the slander of my 4000d, i already know damnit! :(' its nice looking but damn i hate the limitations on 360 and 420mm aio coolers, merry christmas to the erock family!
Looks like a good all-around case. It seems to be up against the likes of the Phanteks XT Pro Ultra, Montech 903 Max, or even the Lian Li 216 but at a significantly higher cost. Love the look, love the features, love the included fans, but it's a hard recommendation for me to suggest to someone they should get this over the other options available. If this dropped to $100 given the current market, I could see it being a solid recommendation.
I appreciate the feedback. I was not aware of Phanteks XT Pro ultra. Yeah that is a good point hmm. Does that case support back connect? That is also a factor. But still that’s a good value case based on the quick glimpse I just gave it. My main focus was comparing it to the 4000D since that was Asus’s target. I appreciate the insight.
Thanks for the forecast! Just a quick off-topic question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
Still have the biggest flaw that even my 7000D has... too many open holes on the rear io area by the GPU which allows too much excess dust to enter the case which requires more frequent cleaning inside
The asus case is twice the price of the corsair 4000D. Not sure how this is direct competition for the 4000D. Seems like this is more in line with the 5000D, which can do most of the things this case can. I'd say both the 5000D and GT302 are pretty overpriced for what they offer and you'd just be better off getting the 4000D. If you really want the RGB fans, they have the 4000D RGB airflow for a little more, still considerably cheaper than the GT302.
@@ErockOnTech I did watch the whole video and no you didn't address what I said. You addressed the fact that you were comparing a new case to a 4 year old case, which wasn't the point I was bringing up at all. I didn't understand why you would compare a $75 case to a $130 case. they aren't competing in the same price class at all. Of course the case that's twice as expensivce is going to be nicer. but if you compare the GT302 to the corsair 5000D then suddenly they are very similar cases with similar features and support for similar hardware configurations, while being much more close in price. Honeslty, at the $130-150 price point, I probably wouldn't recommend either case, I would probably get something like a Fractal North or something from Lian Li like the Lancool III or 216, if you want something that isn't the fish tank design. those are really the kinds of cases the GT302 is priced to compete with, not the budget end cases like the 4000D.
@@dremy746I literally address the price difference. You didn’t understand. I literally said “Can Asus justify the extra cost?” Then I said “I think yes if you account for the fans.” Why is the Corsair 4000D so cheap? 1. It’s old. 4 years old. 2. You get two incredibly crappy 120mm fans with it. Meanwhile, the GT302 is giving you 4 high quality fans. Have you ever purchased fans outside of what just comes in a case? They are expensive these days man. Very expensive actually. Also, what about my arguments on cases that cost $150 with no fans? Any thoughts on that?

The case seems pretty awesome. Good review of the case. Can't wait to see your new build.

That top is a great innovation, but they should make a cheaper option with no fans, imo.
Not a bad idea.

Is there a filter on the bottom or are those open holes as well?
The only filter on the bottom is for the power supply. I forgot to show that. My bad.

If it had less holes then it would compromise air flow and thermals. So there is always a trade off.
@ErockOnTech you can always build in a filter on it even if it's magnetic over the top
