The more that time passes and I go back to play BO4 vs what we’ve been getting. This game is kinda underrated. 8 maps in total. A ton of content and some really cool wonder weapons and map locations as well as reimagined former maps. This game has aged better than I thought it would

Blood of the dead was a masterpiece. Weapons, layout, upgrades, Easter egg, all are phenomenal. My only complaint is the Easter egg can be somewhat long but when ZNS exists, it feels like a cakewalk (though no shade to ZNS either that map is also great, just setting up is LONG)
I love this game. I've loved this game since 2018. I've suffered just as you have (my spectral bird didn't render in during the Blood of Dead Easter Egg, leading to a 2.5 hour long search by randomly shield blasting every corner of the map. Total run time: 6.5 hours) but this is the single most replayable zombies experience and y'all have slept on it for too long. Now that it's fixed, now that it's finished, please go give it another shot. That game is fucking awesome, and I love it.

b04 was my first zombies with a squad doing the ee from when they are found, voyage was something i wont forget, that boss fight was so fun with my friends.

15:33 you talk about implementing fast travel would imply that the map layout is not very strong. However mob of the dead one of your favorites also has fast travel. The gondola counts as fast travel. Other map that also incorporate different fast travel mechanics that you like are. Call of the dead (zip lines), origins (with crazy place being a hub used as fast travel), shadows of evil (similar to origins use the rift as a fast travel). Der Eisendrache (wunderspheres) even gorod krovi has fast travel with (the elevator you can buy to walk across staminup to armory). How come fast travel is only a bad thing when it is maps you dislike?
I’ve been going back and playing all of the Black Ops zombies maps recently and what you said about voyage’s confusing layout with like 10 different floors hit me to my core. This is my first time playing BO4 zombies and running that map for the first time high asf was one of the most confusing zombies experiences of my life.
I never understood the love for mob of the dead. To a lot of people it’s the best map of all time but I just thought it was an okay map. I definitely enjoy the map but it’s not in my top 3 maps of all time. And then there’s blood of the dead. A map that I grew to love struggling to complete its Easter egg on release. It’s definitely not a better map than mob but I have more memories attached to it playing it over and over until I finally beat it. Plus the cutscene is so iconic
IX and Night of the Dead were easily my favorite and most played maps. Only played the rest of the DLC to beat the Easter eggs. The ending on Ancient Evil is probably the best EE experience I’ve ever had with my friends

*MotD* and *CotD* were two of my favorite maps ever. I was so disappointed with what they did to my favorite maps. I liked *V* but idk these reimagined maps just do not do anything for me and it sucks because I loved zombies. Haven’t had fun playing zombies since *BO3.* *CW* was infinitely better for me than *BO4* ever was.
People always try to argue that it had the original story, primis and etc but literally that was the problem with bo4 the devs didn’t care and was doing things the fans didn’t ask them to do, but my main problem was that people only payed attention to aether and shafted chaos when they ultimately had the better maps but people always do the bias card that crew isn’t primis it doesn’t matter at least the operators you can’t really hate them sometimes because if they had a random person you wanted to play as like ghostface you would have fun running around like that just to be funny.

I think black ops 4 zombies is great, specialist, elixirs, ancient evil, dead of the night and ix are great maps, chaos is a great story line. If this game had the budget and the dev attention that i heard it didnt get it would have been very close to the best zombies game ever, sadly we will never know.
I think if bo4 hadn’t come out directly after bo3 it would have got more love. I think bo3 was just THAT good. Whatever came next was always going to be held up and compared to bo3. Bo4 had some really cool content, but at that time I think the majority of us still wanted the OG characters with a more familiar story. I think that also contributed heavily to its “identity crisis” as Tim put it. It wanted to be different but pushback from the community had them scared to commit.
Personally, I love playing Black Ops 4 and think it severally underrated, I loved watching your videos about it, especially the secret sauce challenge, but sadly they are gone and I think you never did all the maps anyway which would've been cool.
I only recently even played it for the first time this year but I actually quite like Black Ops 4. Despite having 4 hits from the start and a hail mary overwatch ultimate its actually quite active and difficult sometimes. The wonder weapons are cool, especially Alistar's Annihilator. The perks do kind of not quite allow for a lot of expression but stuff like Etherial Razor and Victorious Tortoise have some use cases and are nice new additions.
for those who were questioning why we got 2 of each map sets (chaos and ether) for base and dlc was because this game was originally supposed to have 12 zombies maps, the 4 base maps then 4 dlc maps for both story lines but the devs got pulled off the game really early into its life cycle, so thats why chaos never got any more maps and why the ether ending was very underwhelming in certain aspects
I know I'm late but fun fact: No matter what the version are you playing; PC, PS4 or 5 and other platforms, if you use a controller, deadshot on BO4 Zombies is kinda a must for some damage and challenges due to being "legal aimbot" This one would be helpful for those beginners or those like me who are not that engaged on the use of a controller on shooters
I kinda liked it more then bo3 if im being honest, for one i didn't play either on much to begin with i was primarily bo1 and some bo2 but watching this i can now see how cold war came to be which i ended up loving and i actually think they're pulling more of this then bo3 as they're saying for bo6.

Bo4 is like the Star Wars prequels, hated at first, but most of the community came to love them
I think if bo4 hadn’t come out directly after bo3 it would have got more love. I think bo3 was just THAT good. Whatever came next was always going to be held up and compared to bo3. Bo4 had some really cool content, but at that time I think the majority of us still wanted the OG characters with a more familiar story. I think that also contributed heavily to its “identity crisis” as Tim put it. It wanted to be different but pushback from the community had them scared to commit.
I'm so happy Tim has finally come around on Dead of the Night. It's such a banger map and always drove me nuts he kinda just shrugged it off
I love how Chaos is now a part of the Dark Aether storyline
Personally, I love playing Black Ops 4 and think it severally underrated, I loved watching your videos about it, especially the secret sauce challenge, but sadly they are gone and I think you never did all the maps anyway which would've been cool.

Honestly now that ive played vanguard zombies black ops 4 looks like a damn master piece
I only recently even played it for the first time this year but I actually quite like Black Ops 4. Despite having 4 hits from the start and a hail mary overwatch ultimate its actually quite active and difficult sometimes. The wonder weapons are cool, especially Alistar's Annihilator. The perks do kind of not quite allow for a lot of expression but stuff like Etherial Razor and Victorious Tortoise have some use cases and are nice new additions.
bo4 has great maps and good time spend on doing easter eggs on some of them :)
for those who were questioning why we got 2 of each map sets (chaos and ether) for base and dlc was because this game was originally supposed to have 12 zombies maps, the 4 base maps then 4 dlc maps for both story lines but the devs got pulled off the game really early into its life cycle, so thats why chaos never got any more maps and why the ether ending was very underwhelming in certain aspects

I know I'm late but fun fact: No matter what the version are you playing; PC, PS4 or 5 and other platforms, if you use a controller, deadshot on BO4 Zombies is kinda a must for some damage and challenges due to being "legal aimbot"
This one would be helpful for those beginners or those like me who are not that engaged on the use of a controller on shooters
I kinda liked it more then bo3 if im being honest, for one i didn't play either on much to begin with i was primarily bo1 and some bo2 but watching this i can now see how cold war came to be which i ended up loving and i actually think they're pulling more of this then bo3 as they're saying for bo6.
