I know a lot of people hated tranzit, but at this point I think the zombies community would just be happy if there was a new map that we could argue about if it was good or not… miss this series…
They just make every new zombies map ass, not because the map designs are terrible but because the game mechanics and all the multiplayer shit and new story is terrible
While transit was bad. It was also sooooo iconic. It was a map my brothers and I would play over and over. Just trying to get better at it. We always failed. I really think an easy fix, which I've heard from other people as well, is mystery box on the bus. It never moves, always on the bus, but the bus moves. So if you're riding the bus, you always have a chance of getting a gun to help you survive. It would also make using the bus all the more useful, light from the mystery box would tell you where the bus is, in a way.
Same, Tranzit is a map that'll always have a special place in my heart simply for nostalgia. Another element I think that they should've added to Tranzit is a Tire Boot for the bus so Tedd can't move anywhere until you take it off. It would be an attachable for the bus like the ladder or cowcatcher.
My beef with TranZit was that they made this big expansive map… and then they didn’t put anything in it! Most of the map is empty space. Even some places outside the fog (Nacht for example) are entirely useless. It doesn’t have enough perks or wall guns for a map that size, and it doesn’t have any special wonder weapon (Jet Gun doesn’t count). An easy fix for TranZit would simply be more stuff.
@@pickles224 I think they could’ve done a lot with it still top 5 maps for me just based on the memories but the shack for example could’ve had like a mini boss or a jump scare, or nacht couldve had a secret weapon or something to interact with still awsome to just experience for the first time as a kid

Bo2 was so good in the day. I remember lining up outside of CEX (England equivalent of GameStop). Everyone labelled some maps as bad as they got older and played the map more. Back in the day we never thought about that, it was fun being smooth brain child hopping on bo2 zombies
P.p.s. Leave the turbine outside the door next to the 74u buy. The power bubble still reaches the trapdoor from there and if you drop it there as the bus is leaving you'll have much more time until it runs out.
I remember the most toxic player I ever encountered was on tranzit he was getting on the bus at the second stop and I was following right behind when he stopped in the entrance and I died before I could jump back out then he tea bagged and rode the bus away from me to die lmao
I was playing buried and met a haker he was awesome he stopped zombie spawns and he gave me every perk in bo2 as well as giving me the papched version of the raygun, the raygun mk2, and the paralyzer he also changed it to round 256 as well as giving us god mode
I’ll be the first to say BO1 is better but BO2 is my personal favorite. It came out when I was starting to get into zombies. It was too terrifying for me to play before that or hardly watch but BO2 had me playing all night turning me from a noob into a decent player. Buried is my favorite map but I live the rest (except die rise but it has its “perks”)
Tranzit, Town, Mob Of The Dead, and Buried gave me so many nolstalgic memories as a preteen that I told stories of playing it with my friends and brother to people in highschool like PTSD flashbacks. Same with the multiplayer too. When you blazed through Mob Of The Dead and got golden spoon with seemingly no effort it blew my mind. I used to brag about getting in a lobby with a random that did it and carried us to round 100 when I was like 14, as if I just got a tour of the White House from the president.
It's interesting seeing so many people talk about memories of tranzit with their friends because my experience was the polar opposite. No one wanted to play it. Whenever zombies would be on the evening menu we'd just stick to black ops 1 because we knew we'd have more fun. Tranzit really was the map that got my friend group out of zombies, none of us really paid attention to the maps from there on out like we did for black ops 1.
Tom has no idea how much he has done for me by just making his videos if I’m feeling stressing or my anxiety is really high I put on a Tim Hansen video and it cheers me right up thanks for that Tim ❤
I think TranZit was "hated" due to its complications when it first came out, except people noticed these complications like fuckin' YEARS later, the map was seen as great and creative due to how big it was.
I say the two things that will make Tranzit be an actual enjoyable map. 1. Unlocking PaP is permanent and easy to unlock. 2. Those portals under the street lamps are permanently available to use but they have set locations. No random destination.
Tranzit might be top 3 maps. It's not a map to actually play long rounds, but to just have shenanigans. I have more fun messing around on it than getting kills unlike Kino or the giant.
So one of if not my favourite Zombies map is Die Rise. Keeping in mind it followed Tranzit so straight away everybody was gonna play this instead but it also added a legitimate way to get all perks without glitches or hacks. It was a change of pace introducing a map so focused on verticality, and yes PHD Flopper SHOULD HAVE been on this map but would it of really made a difference, if you fall off the map you die. As for the Siliquifer, because it is so OP the fact that it can also be your own downfall balances it out, you have to learn how to use it to be good. Die rise has good training spots, on top of tower 2 underneath the dragon and also in the very bottom in the budha/temple room. The buildable tramplesteam helped traverse the map so that you didn't have to go all the way down and back up when you would jump between buildings, and utilizing it made it really easy to defeat the jumping jacks and get a free perk. You can also pickup keys which call the elevators so that you don't have to wait. This map would have been 1000% better if it had the BO3 part system where you could carry more then 1 part at a time but you can say that for all the BO2 maps. This ERA of COD Zombies was my personal favourite. Despite Tranzit being what it is, Survival on Town was easy and fun, Die Rise was different from anything before it and I personally really enjoyed it. Mob Of The Dead and Origins are 100% GOATED but I personally didn't really vibe with buried. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it. if they did a Zombie Chronicles II, they would have to do all the BO2 maps again like how they did the first Zombie Chronicles (minus Origins) it would blow up. its a shame we didn't get all the maps remastered on BO3 but that's life.
Although most players of that era didn’t like this map I loved it and have so many memories from high school and a modern expansion/ reinvention of tranzit would be cool to play
I would love a Transit 2 with actually interesting locations to travel between. and no fog or gremlins, Instead just have it be a "no mans land" situation where you get swarmed by zombies, so there's incentive to not sit in the middle of two maps.
I love how there’s just low volume Avenged Sevenfold playing while you’re on Tranzit. It’s such a vibe lol And then again on Origins having Shepherd of Fire. Peak.
Hey Tim, I been watching your videos since 2017, huge supporter, I hope life goes well for you, keep following your path, do what you want to pursue, big love.
die rise is lowkey funny 😂😂 man you gotta love al bo2 zombies maps bro they are all funny and goated so many memories in them with my brother and friends 😂❤
Tranzit is so underrated the chaos makes that map so fun. We should’ve gotten a remaster to make it better but you can’t tell me it isn’t better than Die Rise
@8:16 that’s the crazy after all these years this is the first time I’m learning this and even so, before knowing the reason, all the fog and lava was SPECIFICALLY why I LOVE bo2 zombies green run specifically, and yes I do like tranzit. I thought the smoke added to the atmosphere and thriller mood, I was able to play bo1 zombies at night solo perfectly fine….but tranzit?!?!?! Because of the fog and the overall dark grids atmosphere of bo2 zombies I couldn’t play that shit alone at night. I did that one time and nearly shit myself and I was never one to be scared of horror entertainment period Edit: call me crazy if you want but I will die on the hill that tranzit was not the bad. If you try and judge like an expert and take into account that the engine couldn’t do this and that and that’s why there’s fog and judge it off that then as a player you’re overthinking it when you rate it. Gameplay wise tranzit was goated and the challenge made it better, and the fact that it was so ahead of its time is a plus. The first zombies to make a large map that worked unlike outbreak, onslaught, and warzone zombies
The whole earth being destroyed concept in bo2 was so freakin cool. I really wish we didn’t only get two maps (transit and die rise) to see the destruction and changed environment.
Watching this video just broke my heart I miss the greatest call of duty of all time! Hacks were rare everybody on the game just vibing and u loved multiplayer and zombies both were good just an time of greatest I hope BO2 remastered is next year we need it
One of the best maps from the og zombie genre…now after 12 years there are new guides for the ee… frankly I think it was the biggest map ever made from trayarch for bo2 combining many areas and many cool builds to complete either the ee or to get to higher rounds. For me being 32 at the time working all week and grinding only through the weekend was only able to play survival in town -with my w connection -talking via mobile -till the early hours- just to see if we get to round 50😅
I love tranzit because of certain parts in this map are really easy for me to get high rounds on and there one spot where people struggle to train on but for me it’s really easy since it didn’t take me that long to learn or master the map
Lmaoo this is so real, I work at McDicks (McDonald’s) 1:00:46 and I had to pick up after some little kids throw up today, I also have a strong stomach, but it sucked. It was only about 20 mins of cleaning, and hearing what you had to do Mr. Tim Hansen makes me sick. It’s funny how sometimes life will put things into perspective.
I loved Tranzit. Me and my friends would stay up late on a Friday night and go all out while snacking and enjoying ourselves. Trying to beat our PB. Never understood the hate
I loved and still do love tranzit black ops 2 has a special place in my heart I’ve never been so invested in a game like I was with bo2 I must’ve reset my stats about 10 times because I enjoyed the game that much. I’d still play it if it was heavily populated
I understand Die rise might not be the most liked map of bo2. But damn, do I have good memories of this map, I liked the whole vibe of it as a 13 year old casual player.
Honestly as controversial as it is to say, tranzit doesn’t deserve the hate at all, I mean it’s literally as Tim says “it’s too aspirational for its time” treyarch was cooking. But unfortunately what they got couldn’t handle it……………..hate die rise…..die rise can burn 😂😂

I did that one time and nearly shit myself and I was never one to be scared of horror entertainment period
Edit: call me crazy if you want but I will die on the hill that tranzit was not the bad.
I love when Tim rages 😆😆😆😆
The whole earth being destroyed concept in bo2 was so freakin cool. I really wish we didn’t only get two maps (transit and die rise) to see the destruction and changed environment.
Watching this video just broke my heart I miss the greatest call of duty of all time! Hacks were rare everybody on the game just vibing and u loved multiplayer and zombies both were good just an time of greatest I hope BO2 remastered is next year we need it
It’s not Dumbas
Dude your content is what helps me cope with everything😊
I missed you man I remember watching you back in 2020 all the time
Its 4 am right now got a whole ass feast and the best yt zombies content creator to watch ( life is perfect)
10:19 I don’t think I’ve ever heard Tim rage like this before 💀
I LOVE these tim
I understand Die rise might not be the most liked map of bo2. But damn, do I have good memories of this map, I liked the whole vibe of it as a 13 year old casual player.
In my opinion transit is a hard map with your self but it is the best with friends or/and family also with nostalgia it hits crazy
W TIMMEH
The map might not have been amazing, but the memories on it was!
19:13 WHO'S WHO'S?!!
Well yea I suppose theres also the sliquifier but we all know which is better
Honestly as controversial as it is to say, tranzit doesn’t deserve the hate at all, I mean it’s literally as Tim says “it’s too aspirational for its time” treyarch was cooking. But unfortunately what they got couldn’t handle it……………..hate die rise…..die rise can burn 😂😂
