    I figure any amp that sounds good on my tablet must sound incredible in person. If I were a gigging musician I would use one for sure.

      No gigging musician can afford these... sadly

      Well...you have to be a gigging dentist, otherwise these amps are simply too expensive for normal musicians. (damn I play Boogies, but Two Rocks cost 300% more^^)

    I heard 6550 tubes have that big tone like KT66 tubes do !
    The KT66 JTM 45 clone i played had the biggest tone that carried better than any amp i ever played !

    I really wish these beautiful babies were available in Australia. There is a dealer in Newcastle but I've never seen them in any shops. In the meantime, there's a model of a Two-Rock amp in my Zoom G3. And Mooer have a micro-pedal which models it too.

    what's with that Mickey Mouse ears guitar in the background that two-rock doesn't allow anyone to demo their amps with?

  • @PaulBinghamguitar

    These amps sound great but just why are they so expensive?

    • @nixoni.bogaine155
      @nixoni.bogaine155 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are independent builders doing this level of work for about half the price because they don’t spend millions on advertising.

    • @BeefNEggs057
      @BeefNEggs057 ปีที่แล้ว

      Supply and demand. Same reason everything else is priced where it is. Put them on an assembly line and price would come down since supply would go up in relation to demand. I hated economics. Still stuck.

  • @nixoni.bogaine155
    @nixoni.bogaine155 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Or you could get a Sonochorde built custom to spec for about half the price and get a better amplifier. And you don’t have to worry about needing 100 watts to get a rich tone. 🧐🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

    Expensive amps
    Make a 25/30 watt head already for like 2-2.5k

    FET boost i think is used mostly for low output instruments... like some old school guitars (some 60's japanese models for example) or other non-guitar instruments. and i think the FET is actually solid state. at least it was on dumble ODS

    • @krushgroov1
      @krushgroov1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      does sound good with Corey playing thru it though, i dont care if its solid state or not

    • @tomcoryell
      @tomcoryell 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      FET is definitely solid state. It is short for Field Effect Transistor. It has more linear transfer characteristics than a silicon junction transistor, making it a more likely choice to emulate tube circuits in the analog realm.

  • @adozensparrows
    @adozensparrows 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Are you ever going to push one of those amps? So far I can get these tones out of a 1-watt Blackstar solid state.

    • @Matt__bain
      @Matt__bain 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      1. They were clearly demoing this at NAMM (which has really big restrictions on how loud all the booths can be) so they couldn’t blast these amps but they were definitely getting some clipping if you actually listen
      2. I’m more than certain your solid state Blackstar can’t replicate the natural compression/overtones/body/character of these amps lol

    4-5K . Lucky to sell 4-5 a year . No guitar amp should cost that much . Certainly not these days .

    Am I the only one who is bothered by the odd patterns that appear on the front of TR amps due to the irregular places you can see through the grill cloth? I know its a small detail but for something that costs so much to me it adds a cheap look. I've only noticed this with TR - but that certainly could be a coincidence.

    Holy crap. $4000 to $5000 and change for a reasonably good clean sound? Lol. Someone been smoking too much of that California weed again.
    You can keep that shit. 😂

    Reminder that if you need an amp like this you are struggling with feelings of inadequacy. I say this with love...
    Learn to play better, get a reasonable amp. Wake up and smell the coffee...
