The small platform, with a tiller, and control lines from which, its occupant is to “work” the “vessel”… It happens to be called a “sailboat?” If you could, a vessel so unstable at rest, it would sink did it not almost float! Essentially a plank, in the water..with another plank laid across it for the sailor to occupy…Pinned together by a pole pointed up to the sky, This pole, mounted in the center, holds the sail which powers the whole contraption. In short, if it’s not moving. It’s on its side, trying to sink! Speed, Motion, and human skill are the only things that make the moth work at all! The “sailor?” Actually a gymnast, acrobat, marathon runner/ spider, complete with tether thread, metaphorically twirling plates on sticks, and dancing this choreography, on a tightrope…at the tempo of a 50 yard dash, like a ballet dancer, back and forth, weaving from one side to the other all while negotiating an obstacle course of boats and course markers…to what?…to win the race, NATURALLY! Talk about an adrenaline junky!…add hyper-active, ambidextrous, cat-like, exceptional sailor/ strategist, tactician-literally, and logistical computer, all at the highest efficiency levels a human being can accomplish…this is likely, the ultimate synergistic test of combined human abilities, in situ under stress…This is way beyond mere boat sailing!
