If the idle air bleeds are plugged, it wil act like a siphon when the motor is off and drain your gas. If you haven't fixed it yet, try blowing out the idle air bleeds (the outer holes by the booster)
Mines doing the same exact right now and is really pissing me off. Just rebuilt it and is doing it. Took it apart put it back together again and still doing it.
I've been rebuilding carbs over 40 years. The Holley design in my opinion is very poor and all are prone to fuel leaks. (internal & external) They might perform well when right, but won't stay that way. One look at the design with vertically attached & gasketed float chambers with 4 gasketed screws to hold them is all one needs to see a poor design. This is only one of the problems.
Good morning. I appreciate your video. My Holley 850-cfm was pouring fuel with the motor off just like your carburetor. I had it rebuilt and modified a month ago ... and it STILL does the same thing. Did you get a different carb, and did you ever find out WHY it leaked fuel with the motor off? 👍👍🤔
lol my one did that you do meen dripping hard from the venturis huh? my one stopped i think mustbof been shit in there stopping it from shutting the gate give it a big clean out
sounds like the needle is jammed open if its doing that when the feuls pumping in , clean the bowl and needle and seat shit jams it up a smurfs wisker will totally jam it open, or bit inside the body thats suposed to seal off isnt doing that any more

Holley carbs are the worst. I have a Motorcraft 4180 (rebuilt) still leaks into primary with new needle and seat. I'm going Edelbrock when I can.

Your secondary float needle has a worn rubber o ring
did you ever get it fixed?
the gasket between the steel plate and the metering body is leaking
Guessing this never got fixed?
Anyone got a solid resolution to this. My primary bowl is doing this
