Were you having trouble with the same belt that you just reconditioned or was it a different pump? I saw how you fixed the seized pieces to the pump in another video. Thanks for sharing your video!
So after I changed the belt and reinstalled the pump, the pump seal was dripping water on the belt pulley when I started running. I didn’t see anything wrong with the seals when I had it apart so I just reused them. After a couple hours of running the seals started to get worse and the belt slipped and I didn’t notice it until it was too late. I talked to prolines owner and he thinks I probably got oil or grease on the seals when I was working on it and those seals cannot have any oils come in contact with them at all, they will leak! So I’ve got new seals and belt on the way! It was a very aggravating learning experience to say the least!!
