I have the same car. I've never been able to press the accelerator with the bottom of my foot. If I did that, I'd be pressing the brake pedal at the same time. I must use the side of my foot for the accelerator.
As I understand it, the car was sorta designed around Colin Chapman. I had the exact car...am 5'8". It felt like it was custom made for me. Everything was perfect. Added some extras. 12" Momo wheel, could lock r and l in half a turn. A pistol grip shifter knob, and some hp upgrades. Could do wheelstands!! Best handling car I've ever owned. Sold due to eventual overwhelming paranoia over ABSOLUTELY NO safty! Only metal is a channel down the center. First thing most did was bend and spread the foot pedals apart a bit.

Cant understand a word the driver is saying which must have been interesting stuff.
Why is oil pressure so high? Manual calls for 35 -40 lbs

I certainly don't regret paying the near £1000 asking price back in 1977 at the age of 21 because i still have the same car today. 😁

I don't think that is a 74 Europa, more like a 72, dash is wrong for a 74
