One of my favourite Matchbox cars when i was a kid.Always wanted a real one.Gorgeous looking cars and in this colour scheme, this one looks the business
My 1970 'Federal' Europa snagged at exactly the same position when I lifted the body. Didn't have to remove the bolt. We had 6 people, not a lift, so we 'fiddled' it a bit and it came free.
Pardon my ignorance but why dont car lifts seem to have remote controls? Seems an obvious thing to have rather than have the operator bend and twist trying to watch whats going on while still hanging onto the fixed controls.
The hidden item is the handbreak cable in the front engine compartment which s bolted to the chassis behind a 3 inch circular rubber bung. That looks like a Spider chassis , not original Lotus and the engine cover is a Twin cam cover , not a 1969 S2 cover. The engine cover that came back was an S2 correct one. These are very rare cars now (type 54).
This show is so fake and scripted now! Still using the old " it could be a lot of work Mike! " schtick! When the reality is the production team finds the cars and the deal is done in buying the cars! Mike just re-enact it!. There is a whole team of engineering technical advisors to help with the repairs! Elvis is no doubt a amazing mechanic but a poor actor!
I'm sure Elvis is a nice bloke but he sounds so boring!! Ant Anstead was OTT and also dull. Things were never the same after Ed left. He was the calm yet 'nutty professor' to Mike's cockney spiv!!

My favourite car ever.

How about a video of the hill climb. I was hoping that would be at the end of the video. Great car the Europa.
Love the short, detailed videos of yours, keep up the hard work !!
Fantastic resto !!
Lotus lots of trouble usually serious.
I've watched wd. Since the start, excellent show.
According to Jeremy Clarkson Lotus was lots of torque usually sideways 👍
These episodes are great, because it's mainly about Elvis and less about Brewer.
Any WD is so much better with a lot less Brewer in it!
Lovely 😊 job

Operator must never be below a moving load in any industry
My favourite car ever. I've never owned one but how I would like to. One day......maybe.
What tires did you use? I am having a difficult time finding sports tires for mine.
That is a very cool car
3:21 XXXL shirt from Primark
Where can I see the full program ?

Of course, Spyder after-market chassis.
It look very much like that left rear wheel had two loose bolts - no wonder it was loose :P
It is too bad LOTUS never designed their cars for people over 6 ft. tall….beautiful job!👍👍
I am 6'1 and I fit into them more or less okay; if you are 6'3 or taller, your head will sure hit the roof..
nice car
Well didn't know the body had to come off for a wheel bearing
JPS livery plz
No CC can’t watch . Hearing gone.
£600 pounds for a paint job??? Especially one that also involves stripes? On what planet in 2023???
4:55: He talks about the body coming back from being wrapped.
600 quid for chassis painting and the stripe. Not a paint job. Listen to what the says.
It was a simple wrap (they didn’t tackle any bodywork as far as I know)..
I modded many Europa cylinder heads back in the 70s, (a lot of early owners wanted the larger Europa S valves fitted..)
Sporty handling? Yes. Speed? Not so much.
A few days later ,yeh right
Ah! Spirou's car!
All too superficial, not enough detail or explanation.
👏👏⚡️⚡️👍
Mike Brewer ate Mike Brewer.
No wonder Ed China left😂
Not a Lotus chassis, an after-market one. Explain.
🤗👍❤️
Won't subscribe untill show improve. The show is not going down hill it's going down a shear drop at the bottom is a complete wreck
You're going to lose me if you continue to do 9 min vids and leave out the final outcome.
C'mon, give me the entire story in 1 VIDEO...PLEASE.

First
Mike and Elvis don’t repaint a lotus, in fact no one does
Tbf he painted the chasis (well he said he did)
Blimey, that's awful!
It's not a repaint, the proper term is respray mate! Cheers!
What tires did you use? I am having a difficult time finding sports tires for mine.
they look like Yokohama tyres maybe visit their website to check what size you need as you will never get an answer from wheeler dealers on here
@ will do thanks!
