- Join us while we explore Sydney for the first time after spending the last year living in New Zealand. This is the start of our month long journey back to Canada and I'm so excited to have you along for the ride! We'll see the Harbour Bridge & Opera House, Darling Harbour, Taronga Zoo and a cheeky little brewery in Bondi Beach along the way.

Thanks for visiting our beautiful city of Sydney! Enjoyed your vlog!
Thank you!! 🥰
Oh my god, I went to Sydney in November last year. Loved how lush and gorgeous the city is and the harbour is just amazing! I stayed in North Sydney then and you guys walked the same paths as me! Love it!
Awesome!! North Sydney was really lovely, I'd definitely stay there again on a return trip. Sydney surprised us with its cleanliness and beauty!
My favorite channel, l learn so much from different parts of your video, thanks so much. Greeting from IRAN 🇮🇷
Thank you 🥰🥰
No way! I’m a Canadian who’s been in New Zealand the past year, and following your vid’s for helpful advice and we’re also going to Aussie this week 😂
Awesome!! I hope you have a blast in Aussie! 🍻
Please don’t call it Aussie. That’s a Kiwi thing and won’t endear you to many. Aussie is an Australian person, Oz is the country
I hope we haven’t started caring about that too much. Hope you had a chance to get to melbourne we only care about the coffee. If you didn’t visit us it’s more like reading the book.
Hope you have time for Melbourne, Victoria. !
Aussie, is what you call a person. Oz or Straya, is the slang you would use to call the country.
Brittany, it's wonderful to see you both enjoying the new places and exploring Sydney.💖 The modern architecture of the buildings is impressive (especially when you see them from the distance).👍Thanks for showing us the beautiful scenery around the city. We're excited for new adventures with you both👏. Lots of love!💖
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️Sydney was a really fun city to explore, we've barely scratched the surface over 9 days there!
We don’t use the word ‘downtown’ to describe the city centre here in Oz.
We either just say ‘the city’ or more often ‘the CBD’, short for Central Business District.
Cheers,
does it really matter? .....Actually people do say Downtown in Sydney lol
That's great! Us Canadians say downtown for any city centre 😊 cheers
So cool that you are in Australia now! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching! ❤️
I hope you will get to see more of Australia in the future .
We'd definitely love to return and explore much more of the country!
@@brittanymorgan09 When you do return to OZ , I will be watching your videos.
Morning Australia ❤
Since Sydney is on the East Coast, our sunsets are behind the Blue Mountains to the west.
Our sunrises are on the Tasman Sea (Pacific Ocean) horizon, facing New Zealand.
Western Australia has glorious sunsets over the Indian Ocean, like Vancouver or California.
I live in Sydney and the beauty of the harbour and city skyline never gets old, it's an expensive place to live but given the choice I wouldn't live anywhere else
Awesome!! What an amazing city to live in the world 😍
Have a great time in Australia you guys should visit manly Sydney northern beaches lovely 😊
I really like this one
Thank you ☺️🥰
If you come to Brisbane: Southbank, GoMA, Brisbane Botanic Gardens, City Hall, Howard Smith Wharves, Kangaroo Point and Christian Jacques Bakery, Mt Coot-Tha, Toowong Cemetery, Sir Thomas Planetarium, Mt Ngungun (easy climb, amazing views), Moreton Island. 😊
Thanks!! We won't have time on this trip but I'm confident we'll be back to Australia in the future so will definitely add these spots to our list!
Recommend you take a day trip to the Blue Mountains and some ferry rides like the one to Manly.
Great tips! We ended up doing both and the Blue Mountains were absolutely the highlight!! Such a gorgeous place 😍
nice to see our cousins visit us. nice blogs. thanks. take some sunshine with you when you leave. enjoy and please TAKE CARE.
Thank you ❤️❤️
Beautiful place
Absolutely!
Sydney has such a beautiful harbour. Enjoy yourselves🙂
It's a very photogenic city, such a treat to explore!
great..your staying in Nth Sydney. Great part and not often traveled by tourist. For a beer head up the Pacific hwy to The Union pub and you must try The Oaks in Neutral Bay... 10 minute bus ride (depending on traffic) down Military Rd. OOo dont forget The Blues point pub.
Thanks for the suggestions! We thought we had enough time with 9 days in Sydney but we barely made a dent 😔 will have to return to get to the north Sydney breweries!
Go Girl welcome to Sydney I'd love to go to Canada one day but all I can think of is ice and snow
Thank you!! Canada can be an absolute paradise in the summer though 😊 or autumn in the eastern part.
Bondi Packed🤣🤣 , that's not packed, there was only about 5% or what would normally be there to call it packed.
Wild 😂😂
That is not packed. There is no one there. Try summer for busy.
Welcome to Australia 😊 Sydney is a great place to start, but Australia has a huge variety of landscapes and streetscapes, so I hope you get to explore further afield as well!
Thanks! Unfortunately we only had enough time for Sydney on this trip (had to leave NZ due to visas expiring and needed to be in Sydney to get on a cruise) but we'll definitely be back for a proper trip in the future!
Looks like the weather in Perth…. For the last 6 months….
The animals at Sydney zoo have the best view in the entire world. If you are an animal in a zoo you would love to be housed in Sydney. 😄✌️
Absolutely!!!
I like the landscapes of NZ but it looks like Australia is a bit more alive with better temperature just from this video.
Definitely hotter in Sydney than it was in Wellington! Tons of people and shops and things to do too.
@@brittanymorgan09 Yup so Australia Vs Hawaii, which one gets your vote for living there long term?
@@RaceCarFriends Hawaii!! More temperate, less people and unreal landscapes.
@@brittanymorgan09 Wow! I'm surprised you said that, what about the people where would you say has the more friendlier people? Also are you already back in Canada?
@@RaceCarFriends people were definitely friendlier overall in Hawaii but I'm sure that's only because we just went to Sydney in Australia. We are back in Canada now, yep!
Keep an eye open for Vegemite and cheese scrolls in the bakeries, their rather tasty and a great way to experience Vegemite 😋🇳🇿
Interesting, I haven't heard of those yet. Thanks!
Marvellous commentary…👍
Thank you ❤️❤️
Bondi looked empty, some days there’s 10,000 people on the beach
Oh my god haha I think we would have liked it a LOT less if it was that busy 😅
28 is pretty nice, we are currently in Autumn
It's pretty hot for us! We came from about 12C in Wellington and were wearing sweaters haha
@@brittanymorgan09 oooh ok it gets up to 45-50 here where i am so 28 i would be donning a long sleeved shirt hehe
@@iancremmins4727 dang!! Haha we melt in 28 😂 I did see lots of folks in pants and long sleeves so I guess that makes sense
Do you find cities in Australia very much look like Canada cities (Vancouver, Toronto)?
I found Sydney similar to Vancouver a bit but all the plants and animals were different and Sydney is more beautiful I think! Toronto is blah to me haha
@@brittanymorgan09 I agree Toronto is suffering from big city syndrome aka concrete jungles. Sydney has been adding lots of pedestrian friendly zones and lots of greens in recent years. That’s interesting I thought Brisbane would look more like Vancouver and Perth is like Calgary.
@@k.vn.k we didn't get to go to Brisbane or Perth so I can't say what they look like compared to Vancouver/Calgary but Sydney gave me a "Vancouver on drugs" type of vibe, an absolutely massive city.
Brittany, the view of Bondi Beach was not packed.
Usually 10 times what you showed. 🇦🇺
That's wild!!! Can't believe I thought it was busy then haha 😂
If the date's right, it's mid autumn, not summer.
Correct, weather just felt like summer to us after leaving NZ where it was 12C lol 😂
I'm telling you, its not tropical or hot at the moment in sydney... we havent gone above 23-24C for the last 2 weeks ... its well and truly coming towards winter
It's all about perspective. We came from a dry, cool city so it absolutely felt hot and humid to us 🥵 it might not feel that way to you if you live there and are acclimated to it.
28C aint hot in Sydney. 38C is hot. You came just after summer so its more pleasant in temperature.
It's hot AF for us being from a dry city in Canada or Nelson in NZ where we lived the last 7 months. We would never ever survive a summer in Aussie haha 😂
@@brittanymorgan09 Summer in Sydney/Melbourne is usually pretty temperate with temperature rarely going over 30C and humidity wise is similar to Southern California (not as dry as Calgary though). This autumn has been unusually warm due to the impact of La Niña weather pattern. You do get a few days of 40C plus and maybe a dozen of 30C days between December and February, again depending on the weather pattern (La Nina or El Niño)
Is the music supposed to sound like it is cutting out? I’m old-fashioned so I can’t tell if it’s intentional or if there is a glitch in the recording.
I'm not too sure what you mean? Do you mean when I start talking in the vlog portions or something else? I lower the volume of the music in the vlog portions so you can hear me talking.
@@brittanymorgan09
No. I mean the background music. It seems to have many sudden silent cutoffs all the way through.
It may just be modern music. To me it sounds like a glitch. If it’s just the music style, then there is no problem.
If not, I thought you could check it by listening to how it sounds to your audience - not through your own system- to make sure it’s not a glitch, needing to be rectified.
@@coraliemoller3896 Ah okay. No there's nothing wrong with it :) content creators who make videos frequently typically watch their videos through 5-6 time before posting to catch errors. I just rewatched mine again on TH-cam and there's no issues.
im sorry 28c is not hot. try 46c thats hot. but it dont get to that very often.
It's hot when it's humid and you come from a dry cold city like Calgary. I'm from Ottawa, Canada originally and have had above 40C humid summers and they're absolutely brutal. There's a reason I moved away from that humidity and never returned 🤣🤣
I hate botox, Miss women who can express feelings with their face.
I think you're lost mate. No one mentioned botox.
