Railfanning Tower 55 In 1986 (Never Before Seen Footage)

This is probably my favorite of the retro videos sent to me by my friend Paul. Paul shot this video in June of 1986, and it features some amazing MOPAC, BN and ATSF freight action - all never uploaded to the internet before. Enjoy!

Great to see tower 55 as it was before the reconstruction of IH 30 and IH 35 Inerchange and the fact that is was railfan friendly thank you for posting so sad that Union Pacific tore down the old tower just for a storage yard.

I agree with the others, thanks for uploading this. Kind of disappointed in myself, I lived within 50 miles of here in '86, could have easily joined your friend Paul there. But it was too easy to think "it'll always be there, I'll go next week"...
And it's hard to imagine, but back then you could pretty much hang out in a lot of places and watch stuff like this, just wasn't a big deal back then if you behaved yourself.

Nice! What a contrast from 1986 to 2023 to see rolling stock with no trashy , ugly , depressing and demoralizing grafitti defacing the cars. Sad to see the decline.
