I was more excited for this weapon than the Mosin-Nagant for the Tsar DLC because it means I can finally use a proper Italian Rifle for Monte Grappa and Empire's Edge

marsel dagistani PLUS THE FARQUAR HILL! AND THE STEYR HAHN CARBINE! AND A C96 MAUSER CARBINE WITH 40 ROUND DETACHABLE MAGS! AND A BROWNING M1917 MACHINEGUN! I'm super excited, I've wanted these weapons (and the Carcano) in the game since before it came out. It will especially nice to see the Steyr Carbine dethrone the Automatico as TTK king. It should play a lot lime the FAMAS from BF4. Insane TTK, but low cap magazine and slow reload. It's going to fire at 1200 rpm in case you didn't know, a whole 25% faster ttk than the Automatico, but with a 16 round internal magazine fed by 2 eight round stripper clips.
I was hoping for a Kolibri with a 40x scope and a bipod, with an extended 1,000 mag of course.
With a 1000 rpm too, of course.
If it had 1000 rpm it might actually be viable, seeing that it only needs 4 headshots in CQC

With full auto on it and 1 shot kill at any range without any bullet drop and 10000000000000 cal and can 1 hit tanks and planes and horses

The Vetterli is perfect for maps like For De Vaux and even Argonne Forest a bit. If you set up in front of a door on De Vaux, or a short trail on Argonne, anyone who walks up it will be killed instantly because of that 30m SS.

A gorgeous rifle, the beautiful wood with a nice finish reminds you of the era it came from. One of "civilized" wars and highly decorative uniforms

Line battles and skirmish battles for the great sake of extending your empire to it's greatest extent is the "civilized" wars I speak of
WW1, the least civilised war in recent history, Shellshock, every possible gas they could test, melee weapons made out of anything and if your nerves couldn't handle all this and you retreated backwards then your superior officer shot you. It's a fascinating war, a war i spent a large time reading about but it is far from a civilised one.

It does predate the great war but it were also taken into action after Napoleon III had died and marked the end of the line battles they were so famous for, Shock battles were the new meta where you punched enemy lines with a swift advance. The /87 version therefore mainly saw the new tactics in war that where a hell a lot smarter and more effective but not what you consider civilized.
Don't mean to bust your balls here, just don't agree that the rifle (/87) and its usage were neither used nor intended to be used in line battles.
I love this rifle, it's perfect for agresive sniping.

Yep. The close stopping power of the Martini Henry with extra bullets. Super fun
I recently got the hang of quick scoping on console (without aim assist) or as much as a Battlefield 1 game allows you to quickscope, but this thing is amazing paired with the MLE 1903.

@@iluvdawubz the radium sights actually have their sights green because of radioactive material, so you could get sick if you aimed too close to it 🤢

Love the hat popping shot at 6:23. The Vetterli Carbine is my go to now for aggressive scout play, although I do switch to the SMLE Carbine for maps more conducive to the longer sweet spot.
Shame we didn't get the Swiss Vetterli with an 11 round tube mag. I have one IRL, but ammo is too damn rare, so I've never shot it.

*If you're struggling to finish the K-Bullet assignment for the carbine, you can kill a calvary unit and it will count for the assignment, provided they are still on the horse when you kill it*
Great for sniping in closer ranges vs the Martini-Henry, but the downside is the slow velocity.

This wep has grown on me a lot. Pretty satisfying/funny when i hit those long range shots. My best so far is around 250m haha.
I loved this gun with iron sights. It packed a wallop with that big round it hurled.
I got to hold one of these in real life and by god they are way lighter than what I expected

To unlock the carbine variant I would aim for those scout cars and sidecars as they aren't as armoured so it will be an easy target.

I'm Swiss, so I had to unlock this gun, of course. That K Bullet challange was tough, I thought, but O startet a round of Conquest and ending up killed 3 tanks in 5 or 6 minutes. :D. This gun is kinda weak, but I love it. It is very special.

Saw one of the original Swiss ones st a hun store but the barrel was slightly warped upward. Still an interesting experience to handle it

I damn right hated this gun when first tested it. Felt like I couldn't hit anything, it did shit damage and looked ugly, compared to my main weapon Lebel 1886 inf. Especially Vetterli infantry has the most obscure sights I've ever seen. But after 50 lvls later I decided to give it a try and did lots of positive scores with the carbine. Especially on close quarters the carbine could quick-scope people to death in fraction of a second. It's a gunslinger rifle, comparable to russian 1895 trench. It just snaps and hits. Also it's pretty accurate and it's defaultly zeroed to 100m, which I prefer to use in all snipers. The low muzzle velocity has been the main problem, even in small maps the bullet feels lazy. But it's aggressive and precise in close quarters, so that's where it functions the best.
It won't beat my sweet Lebel 1886 Infantry with 27 stars, but it isn't a bad rifle. It really just needs right maps to use it in and passive-aggressive play style, with emphasis on slightly more aggressive side.
The only thing i hate about this rifle is it’s bullet velocity.

This thing actually somewhat fits my generally aggressive playstyle.
If you shoot a vehicle with the K bullet after a guy got it down with the AT rocket gun or AT grenade and you get the kill shot that counts as the destroy portion for the requirement.

So for the carbine which is my favorite weapon in the sniper class I got the k bullet first actually cause I normally fire on tanks from afar while assault usually throws explosives at it quite easy to get it actually

When I was still a new player to BF1 I didn’t know how to get spot assists and I somehow got the carbine variant first and it took me 2-3 months to complete the infantry variant, it still confuses me how it took me this long

Have they added this rifle for the Italians in back to basic ? They used to have the Russian Winchester which was odd.

Is it just me or is the k bullet vehicle kill really hard? I mean it’s the only gun I haven’t unlocked in the name of the tsar dlc
Enemy horses or mortars are probably your best bet. I got mine just by finding an unmounted horse that the enemy was using and killing it with k bullets. Also, in the case of the horses, you might want to fire a couple regular shots just to lower it's health a little bit.
I got lucky and killed a char 2c once! That was forever ago though, so it doesn't count. :(
DingoBling if you have friends that play bf in your platform make them take a sidecar/Place a mortar and destroy It
DingoBling Just use the K bullets on enemy cavalry or motorcycles. For some reason DICE counts horses as vehicles. It's a mistake on DICE's part, but a convenient one for us players.

People think I’m crazy that this is my favorite rifle in the game and my second is the arisaka
I got 100 stars for both and yes it is satisfying to master this rifle. The arisaka is up there too.
This is one of the most unused sniper rifle for scout it's sooo good this is the new martini Henry in every way

Zoidbergs Unholy Stare The iron sights feel so might like the SMLE's. When you aim the gun after firing a shot, sometimes you get the center of the sight mixed up with the jagged edges.

Im not the best player in the world, but I'd say I'm above average (top half of the leaderboard in most matches) I just find this gun to be too inconsistent, It doesn't always kill when it really should. I prefer Martini Henry for that reason

I never got a one shot on a full health target and looked at this curve that Shows the sweetspot. Thought because it is lower that the others it just does 90dmg. Now I see that video and have to test it again.
