I can see why you didn’t pick the Mars or Obrez. They are great guns and can even be used as primary weapons in certain situations but they have virtually no usability as emergency weapons with terrible deploy times and rates of fire
And that the Obrez doesn't kill in one shot in the chest at point blank like it should
Looking through the comments, it's funny seeing the amount of people saying "where's the obrez and mars auto?," it seems that the people who like the obrez also like the mars (and visa-versa), so basically they just want more power instead of better overall usability/reliability.
Why didn't you just go to the point jez
The Obrez can one-shot a 100% health player from the hip. I'd say this is a good emergency use point.

I always pair the Mark VI revolver with a Sabre and run around like I'm an officer or something
Paladin Colt you should run with the auto revolver instead of the Mark VI. Officers in ww1 had to buy their own sidearms and the auto revolver was favored by many

Dylan Zen wrong, the Webley mark 6 was the standard officer sidearm for WW1. The fosbery was pretty limited and expensive

what the bf1 devs got wrong is that the suppressed 1911 should have lower recoil, both due to the weight of the suppressor and the way suppressors work.
Bullet velocity would be more too because powder will burn for longer pushing the bullet faster and farther

The Bodeo in my opinion is god tier, it just destroys enemies. Once you get used to the reload times its is really fun and effective to use

My favorite sidearm is the Peacekeeper, because for me it's not about utility, it's all about the disrespect!
Aside from that, I love the M1911, Gasser, C96 and C93.

I love the peacekeeper, it was a hell of a job to get it but it's worth the trouble! Hipfire 2 bullets (even from a longer distance) to get a kill or rapid fire like a maniac when the enemy is up close. And the animations are awesome. Only downside is that when you switch from primary to secundary weapon it often plays an animation first before you can fire... Which leads to a certain death! But for me it's the best secundary weapon, hands down!

It's simply too unreliable to be on this list with its tremendous recoil
it's not like a "top" pistol due to its slow deploy time and high recoil. it's not always reliable as it is just a hand cannon. it can still be useful, however.
It also requires a butt load of work to even get the gun. It's near impossible if you don't know Morse code.

Thanks for putting the bordeo, I have the most sidearm kills with that by far. It's actually amazing, it takes all the fear away from close range encounters as a scout. Like one time I dropped three assult players in a row, it was beautiful
The Frommer stop is a good combo with the martini Henry. 1 shot from martini then two from Frommer
The same could be said for the kolibri whenever the martini isn't a one hit kill you finish them off with the kolibri it's also really fun
I usually ONLY use pistols that require 1 shot to kill an enemy after a bolt action shot, sooo the frommer stop won't be a very good option for me

I started using the Bodeo when I saw you using it pretty consistently across your videos, I am very happy with that decision.

when i wanted to unlock the mk6 revolver i actually found the bodeo as the best revolver to use! it was great for finishing off, but also great for keeping myself safe at close ranges.

Surprised you didn't mention the Bull Dog Revolver. It's draw time is exceptional (tied with the Frommer Stop) and it's time-to-kill rivals the most powerful SMGs the assault class has to offer (only the Maschinepistole and Annihilator kill faster, as well as shotguns obviously). The reload is terrible, but since you can manage the Bodeo I imagine that wouldn't limit you. There is no sidearm that offers as consistent CQC performance in scrappy situations as the Bull Dog.
I won't lie, the Gasser happens to be one of my favorite pistols in the game, so I can understand your choice regarding the Bodeo

Great video. The footage of you kicking arse with pistols is amazing (how hard was it to get?). My favourite pistol is probably the mle and it's followed by the no.3 Revolver. Although I gotta add that throughout the entire video I thought the kolibri will be no.1

I love the bodeo it was my most used scout sidearm before I got premium, everyone says it’s crap cause the gate loading heavy recoil but I don’t did either of those issues, thanks for including it kris!
Yeah it's a brilliant gun once you get used to those reloads
My favorites are the howdah (gotta defend yourself against tigers).... The Mars because it's basically the ww1 desert eagle, obrez because how devestating it is, the peace keeper because it's basically a literal hidden gem, m1911 silenced because salt, the howdah pistol that dice employees use because it's a shotgun (really wish the general population got this beast) and finally the kolibre, it's actually very effective if you know how to troll
Sometimes I love just playing with sidearms, instead of using the primary, it’s really fun with certain weapons, like the Peacemaker
I love the Bodeo, but the N°3 is just perfect. The fire rate is slow but ot makes landing shots really easy, and the reload is so fast. The most underrated sidearm in BF1.
It's really not, the bullet velocity and slow ROF leave it as one of, if not the worst revolver in the game
@@microwavegommmm916 Then the Bulldog should be the best one, and it is clearly the worst of them. Slow reload, bad range, bad accuracy. All it has is DPS. I can't te the amount of times a squad tried comming for me as a sniper and they all got whiped. The N°3 is the only one able to do so as a sniper and without DLCs.
@@pablouvedoble Yeah that's fair enough, but it's not underrated, more underused, and that's because it's not that good.
@@microwavegommmm916 Lets agree to disagree. My case of use for the N°3 is rare: defending a position versus several enemies (as a scout). I only use it when paired with a high RPM sniper, such as M95, SMLE. With these weapons I don't swap to the pistol in order to secure the kill.
If I need a finishing sidearm for a Martini-Henry or M98 I would choose the Mars, even tho the Frommer Stop has way better deploying time and DPS (my trigger finger is shit).
The Bodeo can do both things.
The list ends there for me as a main scout. Any other role just pick any revolver because of the combo with heavy melees.
Saying one sidearm is better than other makes no sense to me. It depends on the primary, the map and the playstyle.
In that case, N°3 is a beast, been able to kill assaults with ease.
The bodeo is so good. I definetly agree. My favorite all kit sidearm is the MLE 1903 because of the fire rate, muzzle velocity and hip fire.
Hip fire I think is the same with most pistols
The Revolver MKVI is my go to revolver. I love the Webleys.
I don't play this game anymore, so I'm not sure if any of the pistols had changed or what was added beyond In The Name of Tsar, but I loved the No. 3 Revolver since I can use it in all my classes and it had the fastest reload time out of all the other revolvers when I was playing BF1.
Mk6 is about the same. with slightly worse reload(still good not like gate revolvers) and much better range. However longer deploy time.
What about the Auto Revolver

No. 3 is great just suffers from a quick damage drop. I pretty much use it because it has some really sick skins hah.
Love my c93, never usually have issues with it and it’s great if you pair it with a shotgun in my experience, but I use it on all classes
Frommer stop can deploy fast and plug someone in a split second but I love the stopping power of the mars.

I wish I could use the Steyr Hahn on my assault kit to pair with the Steyr p.16 machine pistol...and throes animations are bloody beautiful
The Peacekeeper is my fave because when you kill someone with that thing, it’s brutal and you get serious style points.
Completely agree with this list. The only downside to the Bodeo is it being restricted to the scout class ;)

Blueismyfavouritecolor i can reload the frommer or mars in the time it takes the bodeo to reload one bullet.
To me, the obrez is the best secondary and the only secondary that u can properly use as a primary and also can make NASTY kills, especially at distance. If u miss or not, that depends on the user. In my case, got 18 service stars with it
My favorite is the Mle 1903, but I like to use the M1912 for Support sometimes. Auto Revolver when playing medic and mix it up with the Obrez.
oh my god I found it, after all these years I found somebody else who agrees on the best sidearm in BF1, I thought I was the only one
My personal favorite is the C93 due to its really good fire rate and because the style and cool look of it suits me

I use frommer stop, when I know there is a enemy pushing me! I played with the Mars for a while but noticed the faster guns just out shot me, the frommer stop can compete with that
You ever realize that characters in bf1 hold their sidearms with one hand because that was how people would shoot them in ww1 in real life
Although the Bodeo 1889 takes a LOOOOng time to reload. When you get a kill and then hide behind cover to reload. You'll often feel the adrenalin for every bullet loaded. When you finally finish, it was all worth it. Unless someone rudely interrupts by killing you... My personal favorite is the Howdah. For the reasons of high power, fast fire rate and looking Really cool and unique.
I think the 4shot option is the best for the high accuracy and fire rate that makes them easy to use at longer ranges than other pistols

To be honest I love the revolver that the assault class uses (forgot the name) it's full auto hip fire can melt opponents in close quarters. But your list is your opinion and I can't argue with that

Assult, Mle 1903/Howdah
Medic, Mle 1903/Auto revolver
Support, Repetierepistole 1912
Scout, Mars automatic/Frommer stop (well the Bodeo is a greate gun and was one of my favourite but i dont use it because the reload time is horrible like the other revolvers)
The Mle1903 is my absolute favoutite pistol because its good and the most satisfying sidearm in the entire game and its universal so you can use it on all the classes
Even if it sucked i would still use the 1911. I'm just stubborn when it comes to browning weapons. 😁
M1911 isn't a Browning gun it was made by colt

I mostly play hardcore mode and I like the gasser the most with it's one shot kill up to a pretty good distance.
my personal loadout is the selbstlader m1918 and the obrez pistol. with the high damage of the obrez and selbstlader it can do quite well
My list would go like this :
5 - fromer stop - I simply like looks of this gun. Well, or you can place basicly any spamfire pistol here ( M1903, M1914, C96 and so on ), they all perform quite similary ;)
4 - P08 - Beautiful gun with quite decent rate of fire, very fast reload and nice damage
3 - autorevolver - very fast ( for a revolver that is ) reload, big power up close, what not to like ?
2 - Obrez - not inclouding obez on this list is just heresy. Range on this is kinda crap, but man, 1-hit kills are so sweeet
1 - M1911 - Can there be any doubt ? Absolute classic, great or better on all important stats. And care package skin just simply best in the game.
The Bodeo is my 4th highest gun I kill with, behind the Obrez, Parabellum MG and BAR
i use all pistols except kolibri. imo once you find the "comfort killzone" for each pistol you're able to do tons of damage
Here is a very good loadout called marksman of the east: Primary:Mosin Nagant marksman with bayonet
Secondary: Frommer stop
Melee: Any type of sword or club
Gadget 1: Spot flare
Gadget 2: K bullet
Skins: Mosin Nagnt eith the bochsrevka and frommer stop with camouflage shroud.
Use on Russian or any map you want. If you can be a rank of sergeant or higher.
I'd run the lebel personally but I like your loadout

I use the po8 mostly cause of its accuracy in the medic class when im using a gasmask
These are all the guns I use, though I also like the C93 and P08 (sometimes) too

IMO the repieterpistole, Frommer and C93 are the best looking pistols I mostly use them for looks
My favorite sidearm in bf1 is C93, low recoil, enough of ammo, good damage, can even be used for longer ranges
Kolibri is number 1 you scrub! 5 damage per shot, how can you pass that up?

Sometime ,after seeing your choices , I think you are playing another battlefield than what we're playing :)
My Load-outs for each class represents a country from that time. Assault has: Russian, American, German. Medic has: French, Italian, German. Support has: British, American, German. Scout has: Russian, British, German. Highly recommend this system since you get the best of primaries and pistols.
I mostly use revolvers ,but sometimes switch it up and use the m1911.
My favourite sidearm is the Kolibri telescopic sniper
C93 is my absolute favourite, use it in combination with spotting flares to see the enemy first and it will melt people, even at longer ranges. I know this would be true for all sidearms, but with the C93 I do a lot better with this tactic.
My list would be:

Peacekeeper
Nagant
Mars Automatic
Webly Mk. VI
Mle
I Know these are strange pics, but these just work the best for me, even though they aren't even really good (especially the Nagant).
The problem with C93 is visual recoil/dancing on the screen, I cannot aim with this thing
I like the c93 as well. What blows my mind is that I have 800 hours into BF1 and only one skin for this gun lol.
I only play medic in this game cus I like healing people. I swap between the auto pistol and mark 6 a lot
The more torturing it is to reload and more awkward to use, the more WWI you feel. Apparently, everyone is so hyped over efficiency that we forget that it's just a game, so experience and fun are all we need...
Kris has mentioned tons of "skill cannons", It turns out that even a noob playing in such a dumb fck way with no skill at all like I am can use them effectively. Personally, the game forces me to use some "bad" guns to unlock some "good" guns, now I love to use those "bad" guns instead of the things I've unlocked.

Yeah me! :D My favorite pistol, but Bodeo is my favorite revolver...
Despite the peacekeeper's flaws (and unless you're a grinder mvp who will do anything to win), the peacekeeper is the best in my opinion since its animations have yet to not make me crack a smile. Also, its the one of the only sidearms that can instant-headshot kill at close range, making amazing moments and great troll moments.
Very much late but decided to rewatch this vid. Wanted to say I agree. Myfav thing to do is to use it as a scout like it is a primary in cqc.once it is out and before the fight starts the only downside is the recoil but at least I can say it isn't that bad.and you do learn how to work with the reload. Over all I find it to be really cool when I am going to be killed by 3 assaultes so I run behind cover pull it out knowing I die and I take all of them out with headshots but get killed at the end. And also it got Dem sweet animations. I really do love it and think it is 100% viable in the right hands

I actually thought you will say kolibri as number 1... after I saw m1911 only 2nd place.
My rankings:
1. 1911-the overall best
2. MK6 revolver-I like revolvers, but hate reloads...
3. Mle - nice balanced, accurate, easy to use-the perfect "backup".
4. Medic's fast pistol tied with auto revolver. The small fast pistol reloads very quickly and auto revolver is really strong and cool IMO
5. Mars- large mag and high muzzle velocity make it good finisher for snipers. C96 also serves this role for medic's new general liu with the sniper mode
6. Budog, gasser, bodeo(best of these ones...)-good pistols but way too long reload for me. Bodeo is sometime usable though, but only on maps with lot of cover and also mostly CQC.
Honorable mentions:
Orbez-Can be amazing if you hate good aim and FPS(latency). My computer is not strong enough.
Peacekeeper-never tried, but I is so cool
Hoddaw shotgun version- like the peacekeeper
The medic pistol is called the Taschenpistole M1914
My favorite is the howdah pistol fire rate of a semi auto damage model of a revolver sure 4 rounds is a small price to pay (since the only time I use my pistol is in an emergency like they are intended) for the other stats
Other than the kolibri, nagant revolver is my favorite. I don't want to brag but i got 8 kills with the kolibri in the round.
I prefer the gasser for revolvers because it is automatic when hip-fired

I love the Obrez the most, but understand that you didn't put it on the list. It's more like a mini slug shotgun than a sidearm.
