We're at the end my dudes, it's been a fun series!! But yeah with Archaludon being like an honorary pseudo, Gamefreak got some cool opportunities on their hands!
What do y'all think, will Noivern get nothing, an evolution or a Mega in Legends Z-A?
Probably a mega but we will have to wait and see
I'll say a new evo but I like Noyvern just as it is so I kind of don't want to because he could goes either great or bad.
You know for Noivern's evolution could be unique in a sense that there is another specific Pokémon that can trigger it when it's the party like Mantine, Pangaro, etc. Where that mon was extinct due to some restrictions over incidents where Noivern2 caused out. Make it a convergent or applin clone mon like pear or something and in a later game there is nod to that extinct species who is genetically similar to an unexpected mon.
Personally, I think an evolution will fit Noivern more than a mega especially an alternative evolution which focuses more on the physical rather than the special

I want a Noivern evo or mega to be much more bat themed than dragon, we have enough dragons and very few cool savage bat pokemon, it could be so cool

Honestly, Noivern is the Pokemon that best deserves its promotion to the "Club 600" as the Japanese Fans have called it.
And yes, in the episode BW135 [Celebrating the Hero's Comet], Alexa fed her Noivern a fully ripe Tamato Berry to convince him to stop munching on Meowth and in order to calm him down easily.
I would appreciate it if we had all the Mega Evolutions present in the much anticipated Pokemon Legends Z-A and some new regional starter forms as well...
I always thought it was so cool that the villain of Detective Pikachu had a Noivern. It was such an overlooked sinister Pokemon, I'd always wanted a villain who used one.
Me personally, I'd make noivern dark/dragon. Although the type combination may be really bad due to a 4x fairy weakness, it's better at tormenting it's prey IN THE DARK. you could also give it night daze to work alongside the dark move and with a dragon sound attack probably something like drakon voice in insurgence
I think Noivern getting a third stage evolution to become a Pseudo-Legendary would be dope. In my opinion, Noivern's appearance and design just screams Pseudo-Legendary.

Could even make it like 2x the size. Would be sick.
Basically Thick Fat but worse (kinda since you already 4 times resist ice).

Avaluug is actually pretty damn good. Snow buff makes his damage output crazy + aurora veil. With Recover, Mirror Coat and Body Press you dont even need higher attack. He needs more HP and SPdef.
Eviolite Avalugg
Ha. Though it's special defense still sucks even with Eviolite. Not much better than Eviolite Onix.
Avaluug is actually pretty good when paired with snow + aurora veil
Hes got access to body press and recover with built in focus sash in sturdy. It hits ridiculously hard with body press and making its defense even more will make it more of a menace. Tbh avallug doesnt need more attack, he jusf needs SPdef or HP. Atk is useless when all you use is mirror coat and body press. If you can survive, hes probably taking someone out. @lucifermorningstar8562

Avalugg should get an evolution with an ability that when he gets a critical hits his defense goes one stage down but his attack goes up 2 stage. Is signature moves boost defense and special defense 1 stage with ice shield. He'll be the tank he deserve to be.
As a self certified Avalugg lover, who spent 83 hours shiny hunting one full odds in Y, this is perfect for my beloved.
I hope it's a dragon fruit berry that evolves noivern, and they make it rare to get but it also has some other purpose. I don't really like items in Pokemon that have single uses or barely any use at all, so every generation or so they'd introduce an item like the Metal Alloy or smthn and that's it. Like the protector or dubious disk or whatever. They're cool but I wish there was more to them. Like the arceus plates for example, more than one use. Or evolutionary stones that work on many pokemon

Feed it an amount of Dragon fruit, like 100 or so and make the dragon fruit difficult to grow. So it's hard to get this pokemon, and this explains why it was never rediscovered until recently.
Mega evolve Avalug and give it a new ability like "Diamond Ice" where yeah gets to hit super effective to rock and steel. But also resistance to it. Would that be OP?
Avalugg: is a "wise old grandpa"
Also avalugg: extremely low special defense. (Special stats are essentially like the stats of the mind so if avalugg is smart it should be higher)
Mega Noivern or Noivern's Evolution should get the ability "Dragonate" like Pixelate, where Normal type moves become Dragon type moves. Or Arialate where Normal moves turn into Flying type moves so that Noivern can finally get STAB on Boomburst. I love Noivern and wouldn't be mad about this. It's such a simple ability, but effective since Boomburst is so strong.
They’d probably treat Noivern like they’ve done Bloodmoon Ursaluna
I could very well see Avalugg getting a third stage evolution and then have its base stat total be 600, making it a pseudo-legendary (by technicality). It could be another Archaludon situation but actually meet the criteria since Archaludon is only a two-stage evolution

Mimikyu's Disguise costs it some HP when it's busted, so if you wanna give Avalugg a buffed Disguise equivalent, you can just ramp up the HP cost
Mega avalug becoming a ice/steel type and putting the extra 100 like this. 60 in special defence for a 106 total and 40 in special attack for 84 total now ice beam and Blizzard can do something for it.
With this spread it's still slow but it can take a hit on both sides be a good mixed attacker or run in either. If it gets a ability that helps its last 3 weakness (4×fire/4×fighting/2×ground) like filter or a special version of well baked body and its a monster.

What if we take the Dragon Fruit idea and the Old Dragon Scale idea and make it a split evolution method that enhances different stats. "Tame Noivern" could be a Bulky, Slower, special attacker with an ability that confuses targets that make contact with it. It'd be Dragon/Grass and get's that typing/ability from adopting a diet of only Dragon Fruit. "Savage Noivern" would lose most of it defenses in favor of stupid high speed and attack with maybe a respectable HP pool. It can maintain noivern's Dragon/Flying typing You could give it an ability called "Ambush Hunter". This would increase your attack against confused and sleeping pokemon. Give this thing access to some status moves and roost and you've got a problem on the field.

What if Avalugg’s evolution became Ice/Steel? It would still be 4x super effective against 2 types, but would lose 2 weaknesses. It could lean into the aircraft carrier concept a lot more and would only be the second Ice/Steel type next to Alolan Sandslash.

I have to say thinking like game freak I don’t think they would give kalos historical evolutions to kalos Pokemon, I think it would be needlessly confusing to explain why they don’t exist in the same place they’re native to in modern times, I imagine they’ll want to stick to giving regional forms and evolutions originating from different regions. However I think the reasoning you’re giving as to why they won’t get regional evolutions are valid, because giving a mega to noyvern for example would get rid of the possibility of having a regular evolution in the future. I see where you’re coming from with everything you’ve said thus far EXCEPT for the idea that any of these might come in legends ZA, I think if any become reality it will be in the farther future.
I think Legends A-Z takes place right after the ware and Lumiose needs to be rebuilt

Megas are cool, but regular evos are better, so they aren't stuck in ZA. Noivern and avalugg are great picks, they need some love

This is now a psyically and specially defensive tank. With fairly high hp. Moves like Gyroball and Avalanche are how it fights back
Only issue I can see for that is it's fighting type weakness
