    "To make students to think by themselves", that is the key of teaching any creative and artistic activity with great results, not copy and paste.

    “I know many Jewish violinists that are *NOT* very good” - Nathan Milstein when asked pretty much the same question.

    It happens that the majority of the Jewish violinists were Russian. Of the Russian School.

    By the way, according to Jewish law, if someone's mother is Jewish, than they're actually fully Jewish. (It goes by the mother not the father.)

    That's an ignorant an racist question. He handled it very well to his credit.

      @tombristowe846 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Why is that a racist question ? There is no malice involved. It's simply true and a noteworthy correlation that has its roots in a particular culture.

      Tom Bristowe I agree that it doesn't seem to be done in malice just tone death. It insinuates that Jews somehow are destined to be virtuosos when they pick up the violin. Why even mention his Jewish heritage as it relates to his violin skills? Clearly some kind of connection was trying to be made. I applaud him for minimizing the direction she was taking it.
