@@daviddemers9093 I miss the old days of critiquing....you know,? Picking someone apart right to the bone marrow....Bell vs many virtuous......Bell is a con artist....he really is...the violin is a composition also.....He is in like last place he ain't no virtuoso....one that can play anything on the stage is a virtuoso....Bell is a grade 10er....he ain't a grade 12er...I hope you get my drift...
@@stevengates4437 Steven I am no great fan of Joshua. He usually leaves me cold after a performance, and he many times repeats the same old warhorses without bringing much if anything new to the interpretation, and his stage presence makes one feel as if he is very full of himself. But, I have heard some of his chamber music recordings and they are very exciting, such as the Brahms sonata with Jeremy Denk (a real artist) and his work at Verbier as just a couple of examples. I think he would do well with an expert public relations person who could tone down the commercialism (the cold New York penthouse, the great violin investments and the Mazeratti come to mind). I think Mr. Gingold would be a little embarrassed with all the excess. But Joshua is a violinist, no doubt about that.
I could only imagine if the two would play a duet together.
