Seems like this has evoked a lot of contention & controversy. I personally think these artists have off the charts skills & my favourite was sea scape ocean creator.
Certainly interpretive art has an important place, all of my favourite artists fall into this genre. Yet I find that this work definitely has merit as art.
Hyper real art, while requiring a lot of time to develop skill and technique, is at the end of the day an exercise in rendering. Very few artists in this genre raise the work to a place that has anything to say artisically.
To be able to fool the eye in this digital age is beyond belief. To me, these men make Picaso's works look like finger painting. I realize that one is reimagining and the other replicating and enhancing, but, really, how much true skill did it take to produce most pf Picasso's works? They were celebrated because they were shocking and new. A fad, IMO. These men have unmatched talent
Perhaps it is simply in giving the viewer the pleasure and satisfaction in the duscovery that it is a painting and not a photigraph! That works for me anyway!
Some of these great works are produced from HD photographs the question is if I am a buyer why not buy the original photo, a very important aspect of art is style it is what sets artists apart
Although I know it takes enormous amounts of skill and talent to do what these artists do. However, I would like anyone to fully convince why I shouldn't just buy a photograph of the subject. Or take a picture myself. I'm 100% sure if I have the means to buy one of these hyper realistic art works and hang it in my living room, my guests would treat it as just a beautiful photograph, and dont give much attention to it.
Exactly it is a waste of time and money to buy paintings of faces or so called portraits. Photographs are much cheaper and more perfect if in case we want to hang one in our living room
it is not art - it is sport... - more bigger, more accurate, more realistic! but in the end it all depends on photo-dopping)) the better the camera - the more chances for success.. I wonder if they could copy Jackson Pollock? - with the same accuracy? How many years would it take them to do this experiment?

Kirbywaite 1586.... the whole point is that it's a hand rendering as apposed to a snapshot, anybody can take a photo! but only a few of us can hand render creatively!!
Incredible video, Stories Behind Art. Can't wait to see your next upload from you. I hit the thumbs up icon on your content. Keep up the fantastic work! The way you highlighted the emotional depth in Aman Disano's portraits was truly captivating. How do you think the use of different mediums influences the emotional resonance of hyperrealistic art?
This is to Art what A.I. is to Photography. This is Technically Precise ILLUSTRATION, nothing else. A good camera does it better. ART can be captured by Photographers very well. PAINTING is in many regards, "Spilling" Yourself ON to the Canvas. Keep it PAINTERLY !!!
This is an amazing skill. To be able to paint to this degree of accuracy is phenomenal. Someone put here put that it’s boring and you get the same result with a camera. Well I get the same results every morning when I don’t make my bed , but mine has never been exhibited in the Tate Modern. Give me good old fashioned talent any day than some of the 💩 that’s produced today. 👍
Perhaps the difference between these paintings and photigraphs is similar to the difference between a hand made meal and a "boil in the bag" processed meal? Personally, I would prefer the former every time.
I find that the text that pops up means that I cannot enjoy what I am looking at, In my opinion you do not need to repeat what you are saying once more in text. I enjoyed the paintings.
OoooooooooooKaaaaaaaaaaaa! I personally live this area in art. After ridicule; such as some of these comments express resentment; I learned years ago to not refer to myself as an artist but rather an illustrator. As a realist painter I understand. If it’s not impressionist or expressionism many feel illustrators as show here are not producing “art.” For those I have to ask; What have you painted (or drawn) lately that makes you so judgmental? It’s very sad.
As an artist I think this type of art is the least interesting art form. It replicates what the camera does easily. It doesn't interpret or really create anything new. Of course it's impressive that it can be done.
I can’t think of any photographers whose work looks like this. Somehow, as the name implies, hyperrealist paintings look more real than a photograph. Maybe it’s that they achieve a depth of field and resolution not possible with a lens
@@DavidGBlair- I don't want to sound rude, but If you can't think of any photographer it doesn't mean it can't be done... It's already done, they are copying it and many of them use an overhead projector for precison so in my eyes, it's less intersting and it has less value as an art piece. Today almost any camera has 40-50 MP (print this big is not a problem) not to mention Fuji or Hasselblad cameras with 100MP so it's even easier to make a print even bigger with all the details and lenses with f1.2 can blur everthying behind nose tip if the photographer wants that, so don't underestimate the technology, it can be done, easily. It's a skill, I cannot do it even if I do draw portraits, but I am also a photographer (hobby, not a pro) so I'm familiar what can be done in that field. I appreciate the knowledge and work behind it, but that's it, that's my opinion as you have yours.
I’m not an artist by any stretch of the imagination but I personally like hyperrealistic paintings. I think I appreciate the talent required to complete one.
Yes this type of art is not purchased by any one these days...the reason is obvious.. cameras can capture better details..no one will want to own something which has been copied from photos and does not convey any meaning
It’s the fact that someone can see it and then translate it on to canvas. Yes you could take a photo but to be able to do this is the peak of human achievement. These are jaw-droppingly good.
Art is making the vision of the idea a reality. Obviously copying photographs is not art, hyper-realistic copies are made at 15 years old in high school, for exercise. Wake up. 👋🏻Good illusions to all.
This message should be circulated to all those hyper realistic painters or artists available on youtube. Hyper realism is misguiding the new generation of artists
whatever the skill of the artist one should really not aim for photographic results as its just going to be seen as a good photograph after all. An artist must ALTER reality to put his mark on his work as original. Great skills but so much wasted time spent on just proving a point that he is an excellent artist by just doing reality.
Hyperrealistic Art as amazing as it is in its own right ? what's the point other than a very high technical expertise with a dash of artistic content is lacking. Seeking perfection is a wrong target in art. THE FUNDAMENTALS OF ART BASIC DEFINITION: ART is a word which summarizes THE QUALITY OF COMMUNICATION. It therefore follows the laws of communication. Too much originality throws the audience into unfamiliarity and " Originality" is the foe of duplication. TECHNIQUE should not rise above the level of workability for the purpose of communication. PERFECTION cannot be attained at the expense of communication. Seeking perfection is a wrong target in art. One should primarily seek communication with it then perfect as far as reasonable. One attempts communication within the framework of applicable skill. If perfection greater than that witch can be attained for communication is sought, one will not communicate. Example: a camera that shoots perfectly but is not mobile enough to get pictures. One must settle for the highest level of technical perfection below the ability to obtain the picture. It is usually necessary to lower a standard from absolute perfection to achieve a communication. The test of the artist is how little it is lowered not how high it is pushed. A professional in the arts is one who obtains communication with the art format with minimum sacrifice of technical quality. There is always some sacrifice of quality to communication at all.
