I use my instant pot for doing hard boiled eggs. I put them on a rack then 5 mins on med pressure instead of high. An additional 5 min cooldown without releasing and then 5 mins in an ice bath. Voila!! And no, I don’t like the avocado mayo either!

My mom uses the DASH egg making device to hard boil eggs. Soooooo easy and quick! Just set it and forget it till the 15 minute timer goes off, and no boiling water in a pan to stand over! She got it as a Christmas gift last year. FYI it also poaches and “soft boils” eggs.

If you cook an extra egg or two and blend them with the yolks (including the whites), you can make enough filling for generous filling for all your deviled eggs. Also, for those of us without insta pots, America's Test Kitchen taught me how to steam eggs so the shells practically fall off.

The really nice thing about butter mayo, versus the regular, is that it doesn’t spoil easily. My mother packed my father a lunch for work and the sandwiches were always made with butter. We did not have insulated lunch bags in those days.

Hard boiled eggs in the Instant Pot!!! 5/5/5. Five minutes on pressure cook, five minutes slow release, and 5 minutes in an ice cold water bath! PERFECT hard boiled eggs with shells that SLIDE right off!!! Perfect!!! And pretty fast! I always make them as I am cooking other things! I make 18 hard boiled eggs every week for 2 of us, and he eats them every day at lunch or for a snack. I'll eat them for my first meal, maybe with dinner as well.
I call myself an egg! A living example of eggs! I LOVE eggs!!!! When I make the protein sparing bread, I'll make egg yolk waffles for breakfasts! I love every recipe that has eggs! I eat eggs daily! As a matter of fact, today I get to make egg yolk waffles, next, actually! They will often fill me up so much I'm not that hungry for dinner around 4/5!
I am EXTREMELY lucky, for as long as this lasts, I have a friend I've been buying free-range, naturally fed chicken eggs from for about the last 2 years. I just texted him again asking if he has any eggs to sell me? When I go I'll buy as MANY as he has! I leave them dirty and depending on the time of the year depends on where I store them. I have a front bedroom I cut the heat off, it's a VERY COLD room! It gets below 40 degrees but stays above freezing. Other times of the year I have to use the fridge, but I will get anywhere from 10-20 dozen depending on what he has! I LOVE his eggs! As long as he's willing to sell them to me, I'm buying them!!! I tell him HE is what makes me ME! Lol!!!!
Yes, sometimes I have no choice but to buy store-bought eggs, which kills me!!! I'll do what you do, and buy pasture raised eggs. We don't necessarily have your brand of eggs you use, so I go the next best route! I LOVEEEE eggs!!!!

My husband found an electric egg cooker that makes the best hard boiled eggs that are always easy to peel. You can cook them for a shorter time for perfect soft boiled eggs too. I do love avocado oil mayo and find it has more of a neutral taste than mayo made with olive oil.

I found instructions to cook VERY fresh eggs from my chickens so they peel great.... Boil 1/2 inch water then add eggs so they'll mostly steam, cover for about 10 min, less if you want to enjoy a moist yolk when eating the egg as a snack, longer for the yolk to be dry enough for crumbling for a stuffed eggs receipe. When done boil/steaming, I put the pot into the sink and run cold water into the pot, then immediately move each egg into the prepared bowl of ice water. It might help to crack each egg a little before adding to the ice water. I would peel each egg under a trickle of running warmish water to get the small bits of shell off the egg & my fingers.

I'm so glad to hear you say you don't care for avocado mayo, either - I thought I was alone! It's expensive and when avocado mayo showed up, I tried a jar of each of 3 brands and threw them all away after one taste. I just can't! 🤢 This looks delicious.
I cook my eggs like you do, too! And I love deviled eggs and almost always have them in the fridge. I have a few toddler spoons and just grab one of those to fill my eggs. They're just the perfect size and don't make a mess like a teaspoon.
My current favorite kitchen gadget is a new rotary cheese grater that I love. Inexpensive, but whips through cheese so fast and cleans up quickly. I never liked using my Cuisinart for the job. This is a breeze! My other fave is also a stick blender, but not the luxury Vitamix! I still love it anyway, even though I DO spend a minute every time in being annoyed by the button to release! It was a Christmas gift to replace one I loved before.
Enjoyed this video - you were a little chattier than usual and that made it interesting. ❤

I lost my son last August from cancer, he was 12, and endured 7 years of horrible treatment. I was so stressed over the last few years, and even more last year my hair was falling out. I developed alopecia from the stress and my kidneys were stressed also. It hasn't been long since my son passed, but I know that my body needs help. I am not an over eater, in fact I always forgot to eat, so majority of my life I was a natural omad. Most likely under eating. However, because I was sedentary sitting in hospitals and at home being with my son I, I had reached 307lbs and I don't know why, when I eat so much less than every one I know or ever met. I have other children who need me, and I felt like an eighty year old woman, unable to get up or walk far or climb stairs. I have lost some weight, down to 286 now after 2 months of the carnivore diet. However I keep fluctuating up and down between 292and 286. Some nights I wake up with inflammation on my fingers and feet. But goes away by midday after going to the bathroom a few times. Can you please help me. Thank you

Super fresh eggs can be hard boiled but you want to steam them put them in a colander and water in the bottom of the pan and let them steam and I prefer a soft boiled egg which is about eight minutes. Time starts when it’s a rolling boil and you put the calendar in and cover the pot

I love deviled eggs and followed your recipe to the letter. I am at an altitude of 6500 feet and I think some modifications will need to be developed. The eggs will need to boil for at least 12 minutes to be fully hard boiled. I will also need some additional liquid in the mayo mixture. When mixed with the egg yolks, mine ended up like paste and was very hard to fill the egg whites. But very tasty.

I'm liking that butter mayo! That looks like what I want to make, and eat! I've not used mayo or anything like it for 30 to 35 years, never liked it. Now, with a change in diet, I need a mayo substitute, or at least it would be very nice to have a delicious mayo recipe. I'd never seen a butter mayo recipe, only olive or avocado oil base recipe. Thanks! Maria!

Fabulous! Thank you!!! I'm 70yo. My acid reflux and IBS got SO BAD that the reflux caused a severe sinus infection! Antibiotics helped in the short run so I could have a revision of a botched hip replacement, but made everything worse in the long run. I searched and found out about the Carnivore Diet. I think it saved my life! I still get flare ups of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (a connective tissue disease) but I'm hopeful Carnivore will change it as well!

I hard boil my eggs in my pressure cooker on rice setting. 6 minutes into cold water and they peel very easily. My eggs are from my ducks and I let them sit for a week before doing that.

I lightly tap the round part of the egg until you here a snap inside and it causes the membrane to detach from the shell and they peel easily.

This video just showed up while I was scrolling. I am with you. I like mayo but not the olive oil or avocado oil mayo. I have been giving in and using the crappy mayo telling myself it is only a small amount of soybean oil but I can't wait to try making butter mayo. I do love butter.

I thought it was 2 yolks without the whites? I made HB eggs today.. I put about a tablespoon of vinagar in about 6 cups of water and 6 eggs.. I cooked for a while.. boiling.. kind of forgot about them for a bit.. Then rinsed with water and added Ice and left for a bit.. then several hours later they peeled the best ever!!

I’ve tried several different mayos and I really don’t like them !! Especially the avocado mayo ! Yuck I grew up on miracle whip ! So I’m looking forward to making this cuz it sounds more to my liking! I didn’t know vitamix had a hand blender ! I’ll be treating myself to one soon ! They’re on sale on Amazon right now ! Perfect timing !! Thanks ❤

Instead of peeling them with your fingers, if you crack the shell all over, kind of like when you rolled it on the counter in the video, then take a regular sized spoon and slip it under the albumin, you can peel them in less than a second with a spoon, just running it around the inside of the shell - as long as the shell is loose...
It works especially well for when you have a lot of eggs to peel.

Another trick is putting baking soda in the water. You could literally blow it out of its shell by just removing a small portion on each end.

Use a thumb tack or something similar to poke a small hole in the egg shells before boiling… works with fresh eggs also.

I have the Dash 12-egg steamer and love it. It cooks the eggs perfectly. I use the back of a spoon to crack the cooked eggs all over and they usually peel great. If needed though, I insert the spoon between the egg and the shell to gently separate them. We usually buy Sir Kensington's avocado oil mayo when we don't make out own. I've tried Primal Kitchen mayo, which I like, but my husband doesn't. I've made butter mayo, but it gets hard in the fridge. If you have tips on keeping it softer, I'd love to know.
