Yooo y’all should definitely react to Porter’s Nurture album. One of my all time favorites. Paints a whole world start to finish that’s worth reacting to!!
Definitely seconding this, also it's almost a tradition to also hear the Worlds album with that notion (just to see the evolution of his music from that era to now)
i forget exactly where.... apple music maybe? but it has the stories behind each of his nuture songs in there. each and every song has such a rich and deep story to mirror the extremely rich and deep production.@@WaveReact
Honestly I'd recommend listening to his whole discography from beginning to end. It's like a whole musical journey, going from complextro/dubstep with his Spitfire EP, to synth pop and progressive house with Worlds, to DDR style and trance in Virtual Self, to the beauty of Nurture and now the fun with Cheerleader. Porter's musical journey is so interesting and fun. If anything though, I would start with Worlds as it is probably his most influential album, and then his single Shelter with Madeon (make sure you watch the music video, it's incredible).
I've listened to this a few times and it didn't even occur to me that this was basically 2000s pop-punk and now I can't hear it as anything else. Such a fun song!
Quite the departure from his album 'Nurture', which is truly one of my favorite albums of all time. That being said, this song is fantastic! And I'm excited see more of what this new Porter Robinson era has to offer. Thanks for the video, guys!
Peter has 3 albums Worlds which changed the edm scene when it came out in like 2014 then in 2020 he released nurture which had a brand new sound but in between he had a side project Called Virtual Self that y’all should absolutely check out
I love Porter! Very special artist to a lot of us! I love all versions/genres of him. Particularly his Nurture stuff and with Shelter and Everything Goes On. That's where he really developed his songs to being sort of happy sad. There's a spectrum of feelings in all those songs and no one really does it like him.
I know you guys from your Owl City reactions so I was super excited to see this reaction pop up in my recommended. Porter Robinson is one of my other all time favorite artists. Nurture is one of my favorite albums so definitely check that one out at some point.
As a long time Porter fan and a huge fan of pop punk, emo, chiptune, and edm, I mean…I’m pretty down with this song and this direction. On constant repeat rn, I imagine this song will be incredible live
y'all would love other porter songs, not asking for more or anything, just sayin, even without it being a reaction, its one of the most fun artists to check out currently
