15 September 2020 The health of Juan Joya Borja, who rose to fame as El Risitas, is going through a delicate moment. this guy is probably a saint. Imagine what kind of man you have to be, to have worked 7 years with 45, having had awful jobs, but what you take out of it is the best and hardest laugh the world has seen. It's an inspiration.

As of today, 28th of April 2021, Juan Joya Borja a.k.a Risitas has sadly passed away after complications regarding his illness. He was 65 years old.
Te echaremos de menos, Risitas. Descansa en paz.
EDIT: Sadly, Jesús Quintero (the interviewer) has passed away today, 3rd of October 2022, at 82 years old.
He was one of the biggest contemporary references in Spanish journalism and presenting, having received many awards during his career. His influence cannot be overstated.
DEP.
for me I represent as if he were my grandfather.. will always be in my heart ❣️

This is first time when this comedian made people sad instead of laughing. :(

I was laughing while watching the video but crying inside.. (T--T)
Rest in peace. To some, having been a meme may be a really weird part of a legacy to leave behind, but at the end of the day, this man, whether he knew of it or not, brought laughter and positivity to many people's lives with a fairly wholesome, viral thing. My thoughts go out to his family and loved ones as well.

The health of Juan Joya Borja, who rose to fame as El Risitas, is going through a delicate moment. The television, discovered in the year 2000 by Jesús Quintero, is admitted to the Hospital de la Santa Caridad in his native Seville to recovering from a vascular complication that led to a leg amputation. In principle, his health is not in danger and he is expected to recover normally.
Yes... It appeared in the news here in Spain some days ago. Truly sad news, but at least he is not in danger anymore.
Thanks for sharing!
@@SaruWaza My neighbour recently had his leg amputated, and seeing him like in that condition made me felt very sorry to him. Mr Risitas is currently experiencing same thing as my neighbour. It will be though for him, but I believe he has the will to endure his coming days.

I love how he takes that anecdote, which was probably a sad one back then, and turn it to a funny one, he clearly teaches us that we'll be laughing at our current problems in the future, and make our future kids or grandkids laugh with that, I loved this man's sense of humour, may your soul rest in peace, you deserve more than this world could have ever given to you.
