All those balking at $70k have no idea the relative value here. Yes you can buy a large Class A used motor home for that money but they are falling apart in no time, have exorbitant maintenance costs, and will depreciate far more. The capability and reliability of some of these older chassis especially with the 7.3L diesel was just outstanding and largely unmatched today. I hope the museum comes to fruition. I'd like to check it out someday.
Well in case Dan doesn't respond, I'll throw in my two cents. This should get at least 16mpg on the low end. Could get as high as 18 on the freeway. It would be a lot less if it had the big block gas engine.
With the proper marketing, this truck could easily be sold with a huge profit. Ex: Some rich people are paying $1000-$2000 for just a pair of jeans... Lol.

I am looking at doing a Nose Job on it soon, I would like to know what year of a nose replacement i could interchange over to it. i did hear you say it did require some modifications & I am OK with doing some modifications if getting a NOSE JOB will be the outcome!

I've never used POR15 but I've heard so many good comments about it though that I want to do the same (almost like he did, but not spend hundreds of hours, time is tight here.. ) and I'd like to save time doing it and reach places that couldn't get reached with just a paint brush. good catch! It had 3.55 gears and would do 136MPH when we were going to set the Record. We changed it to 4.10's as the 3.55's sucked for towing or off road! the former record was only 99MPH! we could do that in third gear!

depends on the year, mileage, and type of engine.Diesel are more expensive. If you get a gas engine I would recommend a V10 or a 6.0L V8.
