I am an 83 year old American woman who took my Shahada 3 months ago. There is no Mosque anywhere near me and i dont know any Muslims, so I depend entirely on books and videos for my education. I must say that i am weary of being constantly assailed by endless admonitions to wear a hijab. This is THE constant refrain on social media from the "Haram Police" and would seem to be the only issue that Muslims care about! There is so much more that we should be portraying to the world about this beautiful, inclusive religion. I once said I would never wear a hijab, now i do so with pride, not because it is mandated, but because i now understand its beauty. So, get off the backs of my Sisters who are still finding their way and allow them space to evolve in a heartfelt manner.
I was born muslim and they tell me the same thing . Everyone has their own struggles, may Allah guide us all to righteous path including who constantly try to fix others like they are better than others .

With all due respect to my brothers over there in USA, kindly make these discussions and speeches more about the realistic current psychological decolonization of the Omma, kindly talk about economic and intellectual upliftment. I really am hoping we discuss topics that are more of need as of now, then what we already know to believe.
The title needs to be rethought, it is being kept real superficially. The talk itself is beautiful and encourages critical thinking, the title does not convey the same zealous.
He’s talking about Afghanistan and also probably that Muslim red pill guy on Tik Tok who’s video went viral among Muslims and non-Muslims who said women should not get educated
I would recommend changing the title to 'Complexity of the world, and woman issues'. or something like this. The title of the video is more specific than the general topic, as well this title creates negative feelings towards our women and sisters 👍🏻
Or they can do the title an answering title not a questioning title, i mean it can be 'Women have right to get educated', not 'Are women allowed to get educated.'

Then ˹after your repentance˺ We would give you the upper hand over them and aid you with wealth and offspring, causing you to outnumber them. If you act rightly, it is for your own good, but if you do wrong, it is to your own loss. “And when the second warning would come to pass, your enemies would ˹be left to˺ totally disgrace you and enter that place of worship as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever would fall into their hands. Perhaps your Lord will have mercy on you ˹if you repent˺, but if you return ˹to sin˺, We will return ˹to punishment˺. It is not an obligation upon women to pursue or prioritize secular education in a mixed environment with an increased chance of fahisha (specially in the west) over learning skills to be a good mother or a wife. It is obligatory for every Muslim to learn about the deen but not necessarily secular education. And when YQ gave an example of women in Mecca needed 10 years before the hijab was mandated is completely differ contextually. Islam was a very new religion at that time the likes of which the Arabs never seen before. And Muslims were the minority at Mecca. So it made sense for people to get used to the new rules. But if a Muslim woman brought and raised in a Muslim household, seeing hijab since birth, cannot justify needing 10 years to wear hijab. The context between the societies cannot be compared.
One of the reasons why our ummah is suffering because we don't get education and don't invent and devolep new technologies except weapons to protect ourselves. May be there are smart women whom don't allow to get education
Even if you do you will not get a noble prize. As a PhD from Harvard Medical School I can tell you they cannot see you do well. My PhD supervisor was extremely racist using terms such as you should read Sulman Rushdi or have you been to Granada if not you should as you get to see work of Crusaders etc etc Why can't they see Muslim woman progress?
@@drsmaq3045 İ didn't say that our muslim women should get noble prize but they must get education for our ummah's benefits and the leaders of muslim countries should support them and offer them circumstancies
@airfreshKahyarust-uk3pk so you are saying Muslim countries are not supporting women in education? I have never seen as many PhDs in historical data as we have now from Arab and Pakistani origin among Muslim women. The dilemma comes in (including for myself) can we be lost in rat race or shall we bring up resilient children on islamic path? Can we leave our kids in the modern world in any institute whether in West or East and get down to work for career making? Who is going to nurture and train children with emotional intellectual paradigm? Education is important but what we do with that is more important
I am sure that he is talking about my country ( Afghanistan) and he is 100 percent true, the issue of education is sth not islamic but it is rather sth else that i think. But who can do anything when those who claim to be the best muslims banned you from education, work, and almost everything. And the rules that they are applying seems to be, that the laws of Islam are only applied on women not men. But I believe that they are wrong at this case. And I am very thankful from you Ustaad that you have talked about it, though your words wouldn't change anything, it will still be beneficial for otherd to get a lesson from.❤❤❤
shari'a asks us to maintain hijab (mandatory). But shari'a never asks us to impose hijab on anyone. In fact, it's unislamic to impose hijab or any other personal level private act of worship on anyone.
Please change the thumbnail, people coming across it will think that muslims are actually asking this stupid question, whatever the contents of this video. The Thumbnail is very insulting to Islam and send a wrong idea. Please please please change it if you have Ghira.
This is the reality and they did Jehad for more then 40 years to bring Islamic low in the society.witches was close to be forgotten for the Abada. I agree with Dr and his Advice should be followed by that rejem .
So the imam will condemn isis but not the Taliban. I don't get it. Why are some groups condemned and others not?. What bar are you using? The Taliban have been in power for 3 years and not a single country on earth recognizes their government. Not even their closest ally Qatar. Every Muslim country condems there behavior.
Because Isis is a munafiq terrorist group. The Taliban is not. It's not that hard to understand. Btw, no one recognizes the Taliban because they're the only legitimate Shariah run government rn. All the other Muslim countries have been liberalised and secularized. What they think is completely irrelevant.
Answer the question. Does muslim women allowed an education? Its in the title, but not addressed. He makes good points but does not hold accountable the leaders of afghanistan.
I attended your talk, but I believe there is a misunderstanding about the situation in Afghanistan. The challenges facing Afghanistan are primarily political, not religious. Therefore, it appears that your perspective might be influenced by biases, possibly due to your Pakistani background, or perhaps it’s due to a lack of detailed knowledge about Afghanistan.
What he said is wrong i live in afghanistan and it is true they even dont let women to go to a parks and the men have all the beauty of nature and modern facility why ?
In the name of Allah, I know that this message would be long, but just bear with me, There is no misunderstanding or anything wrong about his speech, what he said is all right. In fact the issue of education is not really something that we should decide about, cause when Islam has given you the right then who are you to stop women from education? And if it is because of the economy, then why are they working on the structures of the roads or anything else, but not on the education of the women. They have economy for anything else but not the education, so let's accept this, that it is because of the pashtoon culture and maybe something else that they are pretending for. They claim that they are working for the girls' education, but the question is that when? In four years you didn't find a solution for it. So, what you mean is that when this generation is uneducated you will find a solution for it. Or maybe never. And if you think that it is because of the Hijab, then it is simple to apply, you can tell every women that if you don't wear the Hijab you wouldn't be allowed to go inside any educational place. And if Hijab is really an issue then what about the Market or bazar, why are the women not banned from there. And they can apply any rule which they want, but not Hijab. Then this would be a shame for them. And as a girl, I support their idea of applying Hijab and separate education, cause that is a right way of Islam, but I think this is only their excuses that they are making. Cause in four years they should have found a solution for it. I hope you wouldn't mind, cause I am being a bit harsh on you. Thanks,
And please don't tell someone who has the knowledge of Sirat and Hadith a bias or maybe something else, because they are our scholars, and this is actually the idea of any other scholar.
@@Subhanallah0000 The issue of women's education in Afghanistan is not rooted in Islam. The Taliban government has not explicitly stated that their restrictions on women's education are not based on Islamic principles. Rather, its a matter of internal politics among the Taliban factions. It is crucial for scholars to verify whether the Afghan government's policies on women's education are politically or religiously motivated before making public statements on such matters. A scholar offering opinions on this topic should be well-informed about the fundamental facts. If a scholar is unaware of whether the ban is politically or religiously motivated, it constitutes misinformation, which a true scholar should avoid. If the scholar is aware that the issue is political yet suggests otherwise, it may indicate bias.
Is this even a question? Can we move on as Muslims and stop cashing on petty issues that should be common sense and come to us naturally based on fitrah and Islam
We have to answer the doubts people have. As the sheikh said in the beginning, “do we want the next generation to be educated about Islam by CNN?” We’ve got to address it so we have Iman. Common sense isn’t so common and fitrah can become corrupt. So long as people learn from the answer, this question is valid.
@Bepo-y1l unfortunately for 1400 years we have not learnt as we do not implement Islam the right way. That's the real problem and should be addressed. Bravery is needed from scholars not biased.
Ummah in turmoil due to the influence of western media/culture on it and the religious courage of Dr.YQ: No one at least in my knowledge has ever raised the issue of world wide acceptance of profanity, vulgarity, obscenity, nudity and shamelessness among the Ummah which commonly known as Hollywood, Bollywood, the whole music industry, sports (yeah sports as well) but begin to worry about what the shariah says when a Muslim community who has suffered enough and has already kicked out two superpowers in 43 years due to their uncompromising adherence with Islamic principles which almost the whole Ummah is agree with, when they are trying to enact a law (within their country) which even Dr. YQ couldn't be ruled out completely as an un Islamic act.
Agreed on some of what your saying; however, I am sick and tired of these compassionate Imams. Real Muslim Scholars; for example, in Morocco, Mauritania, Egypt, etc, do not approve of this preacher is saying. He is taking advantage of people’s basic level of understanding of Islam and bends the scripts to fit the grand American view of reshaping our Deen to their Woke version.
There is nothing wrong with his speech. It's even in line with Islamic understanding practised in South East Asia. You guys are overboard to impose your opinion and forget the concept of khilaf and labeled everything that doesn't follow your imam's opinion as wrong. That what happened to Christianity in Europe and also why our khalifah was killed by Khawarij because the Khawarij cannot accept different opinion.

Hopefully, our country with Allah (swt)’s guidance and authority can begin reevaluating some of its foreign policies in sha Allah. Thank you very much for imparting your wisdom regarding the importance of permissibility of dignified speech by women, their access and success in education, and the beauty of our morality laws and our dress code in Islam. Your discussion of the respect of the face covering/niqab, the obligation of the hijab, and administering indecency and morality laws through “soft power” was exceptionally explained and greatly appreciated!
Jazakum Allahu khairun
As salaam u alaikum

Great leader thank you
With all due respect to my brothers over there in USA, kindly make these discussions and speeches more about the realistic current psychological decolonization of the Omma, kindly talk about economic and intellectual upliftment. I really am hoping we discuss topics that are more of need as of now, then what we already know to believe.
Sheikh is talking about my country Afghanistan 😢
Thank you. I was wondering.
And mine too.😢😢
Jazaka Allah Khair.
Jajakumahlla khair
BarokaLLAHU Fiikum 🙏
The title needs to be rethought, it is being kept real superficially.
The talk itself is beautiful and encourages critical thinking, the title does not convey the same zealous.
Thank you Shiekh
Wow!
Yas@mau.very xplicit xposé sheik.may Allah reward you here n in the hereafter.Ameen.
Really good advice

Backlash has already been started May Allah (swt) grant us wisdom.
Its very important to not allow oneself to be used as a pawn ! O muslims beware
Jazak Allahu khairan kaseeran
Jazakumullah
He’s talking about Afghanistan and also probably that Muslim red pill guy on Tik Tok who’s video went viral among Muslims and non-Muslims who said women should not get educated
I would recommend changing the title to 'Complexity of the world, and woman issues'. or something like this.
The title of the video is more specific than the general topic, as well this title creates negative feelings towards our women and sisters 👍🏻
Or they can do the title an answering title not a questioning title, i mean it can be 'Women have right to get educated', not 'Are women allowed to get educated.'
Thanks brother
Salam beautiful topic i love it
I see this man is so scared of being judged even saying the right thing infront of men!!! And apologizing a lot! Imagine us women living in a world full of these!!! Broooo
May ALLAH protect you brother
"And We warned the Children of Israel in the Scripture, “You will certainly cause corruption in the land twice, and you will become extremely arrogant.
When the first of the two warnings would come to pass, We would send against you some of Our servants of great might, who would ravage your homes. This would be a warning fulfilled.
And We have made Hell a ˹permanent˺ confinement for the disbelievers.”
-Quran 17:4-17:8
I am from utopia 😊
He is talking about Afghanistan, and this rule nothing to do with Islam it's a tribal rules of pashtuns and the enforce it under religion name
Nonsense, it's islamic law and pashtun card is just an excuse for munaafiqs and ignorants
@@millatiibrahim2416 so you believed that it's islam that not allowing women to go to school ? So you believe Islam says that one language is better over another one ??? Have you ever lived in Afghanistan??? And you believe stone a women to dead is in Islam???? What is wrong with you how you make judgment, you guys know nothing about taliban and Afghanistan, yet your fascinating about taliban, they brought back by USA they are making people to hate Islam, they force people to pray people post video that talban force. Them to pray and they prayed zuhur 3 times
@@millatiibrahim2416 Islam is justice and everyone love justice, why millions are leaving Afghanistan????
@@naweedbakhshi8415 that's a lie, people aren't leaving and whoever speaks to Afghans they speak well of the government, so go educate yourself.
@@millatiibrahim2416I am not going to say anything that would be disrespectful, I am from Afghanistan, and I have experience from thier first government and second they are just like ISIS they were beheading people like ISIS, don't tie your iman to a group or a government, these comments stays here, and the time will judge,
Great minds think alike, but fools seldom differ.
Americans need to leave the Afghans alone, they rejected your military and your way of life, Allahu Akbar
But they should liston to their own people they dont
Asalamulykum sheikh , pls upload more q and a , and also more advanced stuff about fiqh for students of knowledge etc
😍🥰 great answer ya shaikh
Do a library chat on this topic
i am surprised this is still a question in 2024!!! What do you mean difficult? Its clear and unambiguous!
The context between the societies cannot be compared.
great talk
I know what country you talk about i will be inviting you to come and see how thing going great and accordingly 😊
T'alib means "knowledge seeker" or "student"
Its so sad and ironic what they're doing
One of the reasons why our ummah is suffering because we don't get education and don't invent and devolep new technologies except weapons to protect ourselves. May be there are smart women whom don't allow to get education
Shameful to see such level of ignorance in this comment
That is not the reason.
'Do not make your home like the spider's home...'
The above is one reason..look it up..
Even if you do you will not get a noble prize. As a PhD from Harvard Medical School I can tell you they cannot see you do well. My PhD supervisor was extremely racist using terms such as you should read Sulman Rushdi or have you been to Granada if not you should as you get to see work of Crusaders etc etc
Why can't they see Muslim woman progress?
And I am very thankful from you Ustaad that you have talked about it, though your words wouldn't change anything, it will still be beneficial for otherd to get a lesson from.❤❤❤
The Quran speaks up for women's rights shame in the Taliban
At 25: 40 he was trying to say Afghanistan, and that is true
shari'a asks us to maintain hijab (mandatory). But shari'a never asks us to impose hijab on anyone. In fact, it's unislamic to impose hijab or any other personal level private act of worship on anyone.
الأمر بالمعروف والنهي عن المنكر
Hijab is public not private. Any public vice must be denounced publicly.
@@primetube4593 not maintaining hijab is a personal sin. not a criminal act.
@nahidmen who decides what's a crime and what's not?
It's not unislamic to impose hijab at all.
If they werent allowed
I wouldnt be getting educated n trained by the almighty creator ❤
Jazakallah khairan Shaikh. May I know which country you refer to?
No
This is not difficult topic. Oppression is a sin.
@24:50 - shahid bolsen has a podcast and shorts on this
This worldly life is very complex and full of fithnah, human life is very short; we just need to concentrate on the achievement of jannah.
Please change the thumbnail, people coming across it will think that muslims are actually asking this stupid question, whatever the contents of this video. The Thumbnail is very insulting to Islam and send a wrong idea. Please please please change it if you have Ghira.
Great 👍 Initiative for intelligent 🤓 Debates and LATERAL THINKING 🧠 🙌 👏
When they were in power in the late 1990s I think only Saudi Arabia and on other Gulf country recognized them. No other nation did.
Answer the question.
Does muslim women allowed an education?
Its in the title, but not addressed.
He makes good points but does not hold accountable the leaders of afghanistan.
But why is it difficult to talk about these topics ya Shaykh? Be brave!
In the name of Allah,
I know that this message would be long, but just bear with me,
There is no misunderstanding or anything wrong about his speech, what he said is all right.
Actually women don't want the park to go into, they want education. Which is their right according to Islam.@@HamzaZaheer-w4h
What two countries is he referring to?
One of those would be my country( Afghanistan), but I don't know what is the second one.
13:00👍👍👍
Ummah in turmoil due to the influence of western media/culture on it and the religious courage of Dr.YQ:
No one at least in my knowledge has ever raised the issue of world wide acceptance of profanity, vulgarity, obscenity, nudity and shamelessness among the Ummah which commonly known as Hollywood, Bollywood, the whole music industry, sports (yeah sports as well) but begin to worry about what the shariah says when a Muslim community who has suffered enough and has already kicked out two superpowers in 43 years due to their uncompromising adherence with Islamic principles which almost the whole Ummah is agree with, when they are trying to enact a law (within their country) which even Dr.
