@ItzMeKarizma Agreed, there is probably a stronger argument why someone using a specific DAW, photo/video editor would stick with Mac for the software than use windows on a modern x86_64 machine that can just run a Linux distro.
Wine/proton (thanks valve!) pretty much just works with everything I have personally tossed at it. I'm talking DAW software these days. Linux sound has finally caught up to the point where professional low latency sound is as easy as any other OS to configure. Combine that with the fact we can run windows executables as well as windows in most cases, no brainer. Audio was the last thing to start working so well, Linux was lacking there longer than anything.
More and more software also have a Linux native binary. I won't say GIMP has feature parity with Photoshop but I will say between krita and GIMP there is yet to be a thing that isn't pretty easy to do, ime.
Lastly, *the biggest thing* imo, everything is moving into the browser anyway. My above ramblings are more specific to niche things. The large majority of people have an OS so they can have a browser, let's be real.

Microsoft is infamous for not testing things enough or properly before releasing them. It has only gotten worse over the years as they laid off their actually skilled programmers in the name of importing much cheaper mediocre at best ones while claiming there is a shortage of programmers even though they just had to get rid of the skilled ones. The day Microsoft got on the Kernel Foundation's board and woke took over, I knew Linux was going to go downhill and it has.
For example, multiple times people who shouldn't dictate things have. Wayland's adoption way too early was a result of this. Pipewire's adoption too early, same thing. The forced adoption of things like AppImages and other executable formats by distros is one as well. Which on that note, the whole reason why they are being forced is because the people Canonical and Red Hat have hired to maintain the repos weren't hired based on merit and whined about how hard it was for them to do the jobs they were hired for.
Linux needs to go back to a meritocracy.
