#MTB #Outdoors #BestTrails - กีฬา
All awesome trails! We are lucky to have so many options in one area! And thank you for your videos which have led me to ride most of these and to know what they were like when I was starting to branch out. You are a great asset to the SoCal MTB community! Keep up the great work, and I love your new merchandise!🤘🏼🍻
Great to hear! And thank you for being a part fo the channel Robert!
Tony! YOU are the must watch #1 socal trail guide youtuber!
Wow, thanks! I'll take it!
Man, this made my heart smile. Thank you!
I'm so glad! Thank YOU!
Another sweet video Outsider! Definitely looking forward to checking all of these out 🤙
Awesome thank you!
Awesome idea for top 5 every so often u ride new stuff in different locations, those trails look great i still have them in my pending list after this craziness passes, if your ever around Inland Empire area this are my top 5 for now: (im biased towards scenery and adventure)
S.A.R.T - Angelous Oaks
Optimator - Idyllwild
Skyline Trail - Big Bear
Rollercoaster - Marshall Canyon
Rattlesnake - Sycamore Canyon
Right on! I know most of those and they are also great.
I've ridden it - it's beautiful.
Tony, As always, nice video. I was surprised that I have been on all of your Top 5. I've only been to Greer once and I wondered onto Overdrive by accident. Great choices and I respect your opinion.
As we discussed, Telonics to Backdoor is my #1. I'll be hitting it tomorrow for my 55th B-day.
Keep up the good work.
Doug
Awesome Doug -I've got to try that for sure. Thanks man!
Awesome video! I have to check out a few of these trails. Until next week 🤙🏼
You should! Thanks Mike!
These trails do look like a whole lot of fun! My favorite is lower monroe truck trail (it’s not actually a truck trail, very much single track) I ride Glendora mountain road up, but I’ve seen people ride up the trail itself. Bring a bell. There are hikers toward the bottom
Great choices! I'm a local and I'm always out in Santiago Oaks, Aliso Woods, and the Luge.
Right on!
Great video, gives me a list to work on while I'm in SoCal. Sweet LOGO, just enough yada yada while riding and hitting the high points while keeping me interested the whole time. Appreciate the effort and work put in to this.
Right on! Thanks David!
A superb group of trails their Tony. Hope you and the family are keeping well Mate. 👍
Thanks, you too!
The luge looks sick! I need to ride that one! I'm definitely getting some of that new merch. Keep sending it! 🤘
Awesome thank you!
Great list, these look right up my alley... I'll need to trek down to OC some weekend soon. I'm up here in LA and recently started riding Kenter Whoops a lot. Of course it's known for giant slopestyle-type jumps but there's lots of smaller jumps too for us mere mortals, and it also works well as a fun twisty pump track / flow trail too
Good stuff Scott. ✔️👍
Everytime I see you do the Luge makes me want to call in sick the next day and make a road trip!
If I make you want to ride your bike I've done my job. Haha thanks!!!!
You were a big influence to start my own channel, so thanks! (Sincere statement, not a shameless plug)
@@EnlistedTrailHeads Love that!
@@EnlistedTrailHeads It worked, I'm checking you out....
@@santiagohills3997 Congrats to your daughter, definitely see you on the trails 🤙🏻
Tony, sick vid! Thanx for the top 5. I watched, I smiled, then committed to hitting them all!! 😎 I’m an LA girl, so still waiting for you to venture out into exposure-nightmare and hit the Mt. Wilson shuttle. You will feel like a true “survivor”. Scary exposure, super tech, then flowy shade, throw in some jumps n chunk and you’ve got yourself a #6! 😉
Awesome! Thank you! It's on my list for later this year when things open up!
Those look like awesome trails. I think the luge looks super fun. When the lockdown is over it will be road trip time. Looks like you have already ridden some of my favorites in NorCal 🤙
I have and you've got some great trails waiting for you!
Great content man! Really appreciate your editing, pace, and riding skills. Consider mentioning difficulty for some of the trails. I'm an experienced rider, but nowhere near as good as you and I only know this because I'm familiar with these trails. Might help trail searchers out a bit. Thanks again for the great content!
Good call!
Like you were reading my mind on favorite local rides. Great job.
Glad you liked it!
Great Video....All great trails.....Two from Laguna Canyon and none from Aliso Woods????? None are easy AWESOME
These are my current go to - but planning to ride Aliso a lot more. Aliso is great too!
All great, but my go to fun trail for me is Whiting Ranch. The Luge is #2 for me. Both are the closest trails to my house, other than Vista in O’Neil, that I ride often directly from my house. I’ve been riding Whiting since before it was a County Park and it just makes me happy. Cheers 🍻
Good stuff!
nice 5 pick trails you have outhere at your location, thanks for sharing.
No problem - thanks for watching!
Nice video as always!! I been to two out of the five. There are a couple more spots out by Greer that are just as fun! Maybe a meet up some day...
Sounds great!
looks rad, i need to check out OC trails. my fave in so cal are distortion, arrow, noble canyon, black widow and gatos ravine
Trails look super sick! I feel like this is more like top 5 trails of OC than SoCal, though. I mean how could you do a top 5 trails of SoCal without even mentioning Rocky Peak?
Ha cuz this is just my opinion man. My go to trails. Rocky Peak is great.
I live in SoCal you got me into mtb keep up the work love your vids
Nice! 👏🏼👏🏼
Epic! I assumed T&A would be #1 :D The color of your bike is RAD!
Thanks Hunter - love that trail!
Cool thanks for making this top 5!
My next 4 roadtrips are now planned haha...i hope my first trip will be snow summit!
Nice!
Great vid, definitely going to head north from San Diego to hit these. If you're down this way, Noble Canyon is one of the best down here.
Most definitely!
Good choices and all legal trails! Great video.
Thank you!
Wow! that last trail looked killer. Specially at the end looks fast & gnarly as fk. Good video man.
Appreciated! Some solid trails right there. 👊✔️
You need to hit El Prieto, Sunset Ridge, Mt. Wilson.. i think it will change your top 5🤘🏼 Thanks for the trail guides!
el prieto is in LA, i think he was just talking about trails only in the OC.
el prieto is an awesome trail though i highly recommend checking it out especially right now with the rain we got this winter
El Prieto ftw
El prieto is my favorite trail so far
Oh El Prieto seems nice. Didn't go thru it all yet. Practicing on the adjacent trail @ Gabrielino
The riding in the San Gabriels is fantastic. Not only are the trails great, but I love how you feel like you're kind of in the big mountains, at least compared to the more coastal trails. I feel really lucky to live 10 minutes from JPL so I can ride El P at least once a week
Lived in Southern Cal all my life but never got into MTB until I moved to WI. Now I want to come back.
Good list & video. Not that you don't already have a ton of recommendations already BUT... try tying in Whiting Ranch with the Luge: 7.5 miles of pain then 7.5 miles of pleasure (give or take). Also, have you hit SJT? It's a fun shuttle but an epic out and back... you really feel like you are "out in the middle of nowhere"
Keep up the good work.
Thanks Ryan! I’ve got both of those vids already on the channel. I think whiting x Luge was my first vid actually.
Did ladera today at your recommendation, it was awesome , a 2 hour ride turned into 5 hours! I think Laguna is going to have to be my next solo trip .
Have fun! Laguna us great as well!
Never been to Greer Ranch, but the remaining 4 are super fun for sure! Stay healthy! 🚵♂️🐶
You too thanks Ed!
You’ve got to try Ted Williams trails (teds) by Shoal Creek elementary school. Some really fun trails on teds are Otter, TT, Circus circus, berms, and more. Also there’s a mini mtb park called the playground with doubles and road gaps.
On my list!
2:39 Most of us are usually barreling ass down here that we don't see this line...at least I hadn't looked at it. Sure will next time. Glad to see the Luge in there too. Cheers!
Glad to point it out - I've ridden this trail so many times I know the little things.
try Suicide Trail in Agoura Hills, it’s the best, big doubles, rock drops, rock gardens, flow, and tech
Can u do a fan meetup? I’m living in socal too, been riding Fullerton loop, aliso. It will be great if u do a meet up and ride
Check out my last video where I answer questions. I address this specifically. Thanks Quan!
Ide be happy to meet up as well. 👍🏼 live in SoCal
I just rode the Fullerton Loop earlier today ha
Does Fullerton loop get crowded? I want to ride the trail with my dog
@@downtown9508 on the weekends it does, i would go during the week. Then its not to bad.
one of my favorites is Snyder trail cause you can shuttle up and its 4 miles of awesome downhill.
I've riden 4 out of 5 of those..and absolutely agree 👍 Rock-it is one of my favorites 🤘🤘
🫡❤️
Hi Outsider.
Your pick are nice but they are just 1 or 2 miles long.
In my “opinion” the best trails in Southern California that are not mini trails are: Santa Ana River Trail (22 M), San Juan Trail (11 M), Downieville Descent (17 M), Cannel Plunge (22 M)
I was shooting for my favorite, not the longest.
thank you soo much for inspiring me i have just recorded my video today and i will be editing it tomorrow im not sure if i will upload it or will i make a better one if it doesn’t turn out well but thank you soo much!
Nice!
cool video, i just move here to SoCal area, i will check all these trails
You should!
That was some amazing riding ⭐💪🏾
👊😉
Nice video and nice trails, have you ever try Hulda Crooks park trails on Loma Linda Ca.?
Thanks planning on it soon!
Nice picks! Smooth shred!
👊✔️
thanks for sharing, i was expecting Loma linda on the list although the list still looks good.
Thanks for watching!
Man, just new here to your channel and you already inspired me to ride mtb. Thanks for sharing the trails and by the way what size is your bike?
That’s great Mark - Welcome! It’s a M/L. Check out my new bike day vid for the details. 👍
Rocky flow is such a good description of Overdrive. Have you had the chance to ride any of the trails in San Diego? We have some stuff I think you would really enjoy. Also, Vail Lake is a treasure trove of enduro lines with lots of very sessionable spots and multiple jump lines. It's worth checking out if you havent been out there yet.
Good call and thanks! I want to ride San Diego very soon!
@@TheOutsiderMTB No worries! If you ever want advice on where to ride in San Diego, I'd be happy to help. I do trail guides for San Diego County.
Best one yet Tony 🤙🏼
Appreciated Kody!
Dude I haven't been down The Luge in 5 or 6 years, this reminds me I need to go ride it again! Ever get down to the San Juan trail?, pretty fun as well!! 🚲
For sure!! I've got a vid on the channel from last year from San Juan.
Great highlight of our awesome local trails! All are high on my list but have never done Greer. Have you done Waterworks and that area yet?
Not yet!
That was one of the trails I was expecting to see on the list. My guess is it isn't gnarly enough for Tony.
Awesome list, Greer 👍🏻.
✔️👊
I'm saying Luge for me. Flying on a goat trail is as good as it gets. Post office loop, Angelus oaks, my hands down favorite. Keep that rubber side down brother. Thanks for sharing. Stay healthy.
Good stuff Chris. 👊✔️
@ 65 I am just breaking in a new bike and was just going to ride the river and maybe try to get into the serious stuff if can get into shape. Your trail shots have given my lots of incentive. Started just to lose some weight get in shape. Now set on killing myself LOL Subscribed
Haha welcome to the channel and you’re on your way Jerry!
If you go super for north above Los Angeles, Simi Valley/Hummingbird is pretty good. Plus, the bike parks up at Big Bear.
👍
Not sure Tony if you have tried the northern side of southern California in the antelope valley area like mt pinos , Golden eagle and Tehachapi lehigh trail system . All lots of fun . Palmdale has a nice set of trails also
I haven’t and thank for the heads up. 👊✔️
Vail lake Tony and yes let's not forget Mt Wilson 👍
Great video i hope you make more
That's the plan!
Nice Page! Keep it up!
Appreciate it!
You should try Rancho La Costa Preserve if you ever head south to Carlsbad! I'd love to see your take on Switchbacks and Nascar! Thanks for the videos!! Long live the Remedy!
Good stuff Paige!
I live 1/2 mile from the trail head. Cool trail and nascar is fun but not a contender for top 5
Dam! Can’t believe how fast your going 😯👍🏻
Thanks Rat!
"The Dude abides!" 🤗
Sure does. 👍
Thanks. Good info.
That was sick! Come up to big bear will show you so many sick lines ! Have you been down fall line ?
Thanks David - Yup I’ve got a bunch of vids from Snow Summit. Good stuff.👍
I got an off-road Electriclomgboard and wounded which one is can I ride on
Great video.. stay safe!
Thanks, you too!
Wondering if you have a recommendation a little closer to Riverside, CA (I realize that's far from most of these trails, but I'll only have a small time window available...)
Hmmmm I'd suggest checking trailforks.
Not gonna lie, when the video started I thought he was an ‘ok’ rider. As I saw him ride I realized he’s a great rider. Respect man!
Haha thanks Daniel! 👊
What’s your camera? The footage is so clean! Just starting from MTB, live in socal, perfect video!
Thanks! Right now I’m using the hero 11.
So we are planning a trip down to ride these trails in January, driving down from Idaho. Are class 1 e-bikes ok on all of these? Really looking forward to our trip and some great So Cal rides!
Technically not on some of them, but we ride them anyway - it’s a grey area.
The Luge looks amazing
It's fun, but getting to it will either be a pain in the ass, or suck major ass depending on where you park.
Hey Tony! Love the videos. Do you have any recommendations on any rides within the SD region? Planning a trip from norcal and will end up in SD area. Any suggestions appreciated!
I have not ventured down yet but I know there's some good stuff. Thanks!
Looking to do my own videos soon of some trails .
What would you recommend me doing!! a big fan of yours !
What would you say is a good note to take in when vlogging trails like these and others around the world/ state / county
Just be yourself man. People will tune in to get your perspective. That's what's unique.
You guys have some rad trails over in SoCal!
Agreed!
The Luge is fun, and does have that bob sled feel to it on the berm sections. I always look forward to a cold beer right at the end of this ride @ Cooks!
Yup that's a great strategy!
Where do you park your bike when you go inside cooks ?
@@Socaloverlander I always take it inside w/ me to the patio area find a bench and order some post ride food and brews!!
Planetone. I usually go there on motorcycle ,thanks !
@@Socaloverlander Oh" cool!!
A great set, I have to agree with your opinion...
Thanks Leigh!
Excellent merch, compare. I'm in for the Pupper Pip t-shirt.
Hell yeah thank you!
Your trail riding is awesome! Are there any you'd recommend for beginners? My bike a a poseidonbike with no shocks and skinnier tires, not sure if that matters.
Thanks! Check out the Fullerton Loop.
“Crazy Horse” In the Lehigh trail system up in Tehachapi. Long climb up but well worth it.
Thanks for the tip!
Hey!! I have a question, what is the address for the number 4 ?
Wow the video is great!, so you use a gimbal?
Just a gopro on my chest with a harness. Thanks!
Break down all the central valley trails! Sequoias around shaver lake/bass lake area.
👍😉
Lynx and Rock It in aliso viejo and laguna!
Do the Lizard Trail and T&A have mountain lions? Those seem to be the closest to the beach. Some others you names like Trabuco Canyon are quite dangerous
U should go to noble canyon mtb trail in pine valley. My ultimate fav!! 9.9 miles of down hill
On my list.✔️
You should give Anderson truck trail in alpine a try if you haven’t yet one my favorites
👍
You gotta try Ted Williams Trail in Poway, CA if you haven't already. Such a rad place 🤙🤙
👍
The number 3 is really xtreme trail 😬
I wouldn't say this is a SoCal list more like a Laguna Area list, but all those trails do look fun bud, keep the vids roll'n!
Agreed. This vid definitely looks like "my favorite trails in Orange County", with the exception of Greer - which is amazing btw! Make your way up north a bit and you'll want to make some adjustments to that list.
Greer and Chutes isn't in Laguna. Guess you can call it his southern SoCal list.
You gotta check out Pmountain in San Marcos..there are vids online but the best ones aren't filmed.
haha dude youre shredding!!
👊😉
I love your videos. Do you ever ride at the San Clemente Dog Park. If not why
Thanks! It’s a bit far from me but planning to check it out more often.
Great video. What are trail conditions like from January to March?
Winter is riding season. 👊
I love the Big Lebowski reference
Me too. 😉
Can I ride an e-mountain bike on these? Not the self propelled kind. Specialized turbo levo.
I guess? I don't know anything about ebikes. Sorry.
Your camera angle is good...clear and relaxing
Oh thank you!
Oh thank you!
T&A looks legit!
So fun Jake!
Grab you a bell, brother!
I second that. Hes gonna hit someone hard one of these days.
Or some Chris King hubs!
That freewheel is prob loud enough
