    I don't know if anyone has already posted, but I know with caravan awnings you can get a skirt for the bottom of the van, I've 2 depending on if I'm using the full size or mid size awning. I'm sure there must be some for motorhomes too

    Your drive away awning looks huge! We often used the skottle for a quick Chinese stir fry with a bit of stir fry sauce. You needed a little bit of oil before the stir fry.

    Bung that thumb under running cold water to stop it double burning. Get a skirt for your van to stop the draught. You need a jay rail to thread the awning through. The downside to all this is it takes ages to go for a newspaper or whatever if you have to take off the skirt and awning before driving away. Oh and you need a table beside your bbq for all you bits to save bending down all the time. Xxx

    Hi Dan and Mazzy. We had the same awning but for our T6 transporter and we loved it (moved on now to an Adria SGX 640) couple of tips for you. When you have it set up correctly and in the right position take measurements or make a rule of the first peg to the rear axel then you can set up easily again and on the other side of the van put a strip of rope then when you leave the awning and come back you will be the correct distance van to awning. Another tip screw in tent pegs you will need a battery screw driver but these are a must on a hard standing. Love what you both do Keep up the good work.

    For your information if you barbecue remember the key to barbecuing is not depressed of food down onto the grill top with a spatula that loses all the juice in their food that you are cooking also if you are using a charcoal grill look in your local garden apartment in a store there is a product that you put the coal into and then from the bottom of where the coals going to you put paper around it and light it and it likes the Kohl's within 20 minutes red hot so you're not wasting time waiting around for the cooker to get hot I believe the product is called a chimney coal starter or something best investment I ever made for barbecuing

    So funny 🤣 guys!
    We have a drive away awning. We don’t bother attaching. After hours of fiddling we realised we could not open the van door. Rubbish buy, we should have just bought a tent, would have been far cheaper.
    Mazy I have food replacement shakes (not for dieting) for when I don’t want or cannot eat. They make a massive difference and I don’t go hungry.
    Loving your vids!

  • @rallock67
    @rallock67 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Very strange how terms mean different things over there. In the states, an awning mounts to the RV and it is just a "roof" to sit under in the shade. What you have would be a tent for RVs.
    The BBQ looks great and the one pan for stir fry that Dan couldn't think of is a wok.

  • @adrianpipe3323

    Hope your burn's healing ok! I've seen those flat pans being used before for stuff like Paella I think where you have to mix in water into the rice. I believe you can get a cover thing to go between the axles to stop the wind blowing under the van if you need to.

    The awning is fab! Okay, so now that you’ve got the awning taking up so much space in the boot, you really need a table to put next to the bbq in order to place your kit, including some potholders 😅. I love my Webber bbq and I’m so excited for you to be discovering the yum!!! For a burn, if you can, put it under running cold water until it is no longer burning. Thanks for another great video ❤️.

    We bought the exact same awning as you and got to test it out when Lockdown eased on the 12th April. Took it to the Chester Caravan and MH site. It took us over 30 minutes to put it up.. but yours looked miles better, especially the porch bit up to the motorhome door. Ours was flapping around in the breeze but at least it stopped our dogs barking at everyone that walked past. As for Dan's thumb.... he's old enough to know that if you burn yourself you need to dunk it in cold water ASAP to cool the skin down. No sympathy for Dan from over here I'm afraid Mazzy!. Only kidding, I hope he feels better soon :)

    Hope your finger/thumb recovers , I think its minimum of 15 mins under cold water for burns.

    Get yourself some fluoride toothpaste and put some on right away after you burn yourself the fluoride in the toothpaste will prevent the burn from blistering and heal faster! I know it sound weird but try it, it works!
