Hi guys, just a thought but as you, Mazzy likes a heater and a full cooker, why don't you have them fixed into your wagon, it's your home, adjust it to suit you and it fits all your collectable ideas.
Mines is shabby 2007 but it does the job. Me and the other half went round all the dealers to see what we liked as well including down in France. Mines is left hand drive. That great for us as 90 % of the time we are on the continent. It's no great hastle to drive back in the uk. Thanks

I drive a car with LPG myself, I pay a full tank for around € 18 and I drive 420 km with it, this is 4 times cheaper than gasoline and environmentally friendly! Certainly for heavier engines this is a recommended fuel. There are fewer gas stations than gasoline, but on motorways they have LPG everywhere. Safety is also very good nowadays, I have a ring tank that cannot explode even in a fire. I would like no more fuel, CNG is also cheap and environmentally friendly but uses more.
I reckon you'd be happy with a converted van. You already know what you can and cant live without. Plus you can customise it however you like. park anywhere. get round bends easier. etc. Ive been looking at converted vans for a while now proper fancy one.
Its good to get the buying bug now and again, i prefer the one you have to the others, mine is simular to the one at the end , it had only done 30k and i paid a lot less , i use it more as a day van for my children biking fishing gold panning , camping and yes metal detecting.
Hello Dan and Mazzy, I am loveing your travels and some great laughter, Dan Have to say some of the faces you pull remind me of the small guy from Laurl and Hardy, priceless.
Those vans will still be going when yours is long gone old but good quality and go on for ever better engines no brainer really new ones cheaply made with substandard materials plastic and so on each to their own

I prefer your van with it's island bed, much better than if you had the other van's, Imagine if either of you need to go the toilet during the night, and had to disturb the other person. Plus you have the extra bed in your roof. I imagine you were just passing the time while your sky light was getting repair. Takecare Mazzy and Dan, love your vlogs.

I can't help thinking of Steptoe and Son when Harold gets his father Albert to leave his bedroom and move in under the stairs so he can have an upstairs bathroom, it's a great episode!

I can tell you from experience those weird hacked off beds will drive you nuts. We had a trailer with a corner bed like those and the person on the outside has their legs dangling all night and the person by the wall has to crawl over the other person to get to the toilet at night. I always got stuck next to the wall which gave me severe claustrophobia, and my husband couldn't sleep with his legs unbent. Your van is so much better. Your bed alone would make me want yours over the others any day. In a van if you can't get a good nights sleep you are sunk! Especially the person driving. Thanks for the tour tho. I enjoy seeing what different interiors look like. You never know what new innovative thing they will come up with next.
If you are going back to Scotland on a trip I suggest going to the Isle of Coll on the west coast of Scotland and the calmac ferry over from the small town of Oban
First thing I noticed on that first window sticker was LEFT HAND drive. I have seen vehicles with right hand drive here in the USA but never understood why they allow it. You have to pull your vehicle all the way out into the oncoming lane to see if you can pass. Anyway, great video.. : )

@@johnharris6691 Yeah you would end up at the bottom if you're talking about the English channel. Many miles of canals to explore in England though. Plus, you get to annoy drivers with swing bridges.

It's the upholstery which tends to make a van look dated - you can always get it reupholstered.
Mazzy was pretty accurate, the Peugeot Boxer is the same as the Fiat Ducato. Way too much brown in those vans for my liking.

You will need special pots for the glass top stove. They have to be flat on the bottom no cast iron on them

Don't do it Dan, vans are much cheaper in the UK, they bring these LHD units from Germany also you would have to pay duty back in UK.
No duty or vat payable, we are still effectively in the EU for tax purposes till the end of December
