- MERT, the dumbest scammer I have ever talked to has done it. They managed to turn a massive Roblox youtuber into a scammer.
From illiterate emails to hyperbolic financial promises, there are so many red flags that would make anybody with a pulse think twice. However the combination of stupid Roblox youtubers and frontal-lobe lacking hustle bros is just perfect enough to result in thousands of kiddos filling out surveys to get their FREE ROBUX!

That could definitely help TH-cam and Discord with their investigation. Awhile ago, some Roblox TH-camrs have been getting messages from this guy threatening to take down their videos, and this is just downright criminal! Now that you have done some digging, you can report the Mert James information directly to the FBI and get the guy behind this scam arrested and sent to prison. You made a huge difference and helped the community feel safer, and I owe it to you. Hopefully, TH-cam will look into the situation and make changes so that this does not happen again.

I remember clicking on like useless, non-working free RuneScape membership generators, this survey stuff and so on as a kid, to perhaps become get membership. Times haven't really changed with those scams, besides how they operate and how now there are even scamming pyramid schemes, that scam each other. Not to mention the RuneScape scams in-game for GP, classics like 'doubling money' and so on.
"Lemme see your ascension bows, I wanna take a picture with them!" I am forever embarrassed that I was fucking stupid enough to fall for that... I've also fallen for the phishing RS links too. Way back in 2007 or whatever, there were "talks" about RS3, with it basically being like how OSRS is now; its' complete own game in a new land with a new skill or two. There was never any RS3 servers back in 2007, it was a fucking scam where it stole all your shit. So add another Stupidity Token for me.
God i remember this online tank game from way back that i sacrificed my soul to.. some dude just asked for my email and password and promised he'll buy me the premium currency there. I waited for like 10 minutes and before i know it i cant log back in and i was probably too dumb to press the forgot password button

After watching the video I can say that this goes deeper, the Email and headings of Neox are of a TH-camr who previously used that name and would run continuous scam live streams, he would also copyright strike anyone willing enough to make a video about them as well as had a tycoon of these channels/businesses, fairly surprised to see his name pop up again.

To be fair, those "complete survery to confirm that you are human" scams are basically harmless, I'm sure I filled in a dozen of these as a kid to "DOWNLOAD THE FILE" and I swear it actually worked once lmao
i used to do the surveys built-into a game like this. they hardly ever worked and if they did it was for like 5-10 currency, maybe 100-150 at MOST. Somehow, I managed to get a huge amount of the game's currency with some weird glitch that happened with one of these spammy survey things. I peaked in that moment, it's been downhill since.
I once tried to do that in a dragon game in Facebook, it surprisingly worked but I had to clean out so much spam afterwards lmao

i got an email from this person! it was from "mert john" and offered to "pay me" $5k per pinned comment but was VERY serious about responding quickly. i was curious what the scam was exactly but didnt want to engage with it. the izzland channel was exactly the same as the mert james channel, a bunch of livestreams and "how to get poppy playtime in roblox free robux" videos, but seems to no longer exist or changed names

As a Roblox creator, I have also occurred this same person who offered me $15 per 1k views to make videos on their site. They paid me upfront and I left with the $15. Promoting that would just make us lose our rep and status.

i used to do those stupid survey things all the time when I was younger and put my real name email and address on them😭😭 Luckily they never actually mailed me, but my email was spammed to hell and it took weeks for me to finally mark all the emails as spam

I found on youtube a possible scam through the community posts it basically had "free gift cards" and on the comments people were saying it was real but when i checked a VERIFIED account i saw it had made no videos whatsoever meaning these were bots

honestly, as a roblox player, I'm ashamed of this community. Most of the roblox tiktokers that have more than 1M+ followers or subs are starting to be super childish just for money. This month there was a huge drama in the roblox editing community because one of the editors didnt want to record a tiktok with the second one. Now they keep posting like 100 tiktoks a week about them blocking each other FOR THE FXCKING 100th TIME. LIKE NO ONE GIVES A CRAP THAT YOU BLOCKED SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE THEY DIDNT WANT TO RECORD WITH YOU OML
i just KNEW that that face was familiar. i saw a lot of his videos pop up (roblox toker) and the ads always struck me as off putting and obviously scammy / fake. thank you for bringing light to this.
