Hey Sune! Thanks so very much for your insightful feedback! Very thoughtful of you! I love making a difference in helping runners excel and enjoy the experience too, so it’s a great pleasure to know that Ive helped you in any capacity :D Thanks again for the warm remark my friend!! Happy running
Great video and agree the KSO's are amazing. I'm having to choose between the Evos and bakilas for a full marathon. After this I may actually try the KSO's.
Thanks so much :D The KSO’s are really everything all rolled up into one! Yet, so are the Bikila’s and the EVOs!! I’m still undecided which one I like best! Now the V-Runs are thrown into the mix! :D I love having the options though. I wish you victorious strides in your marathon! Let me know how ya make out!!
Thanks for your detail video. I was thinking of whether to do V-Run as an all rounder with some long distance 5km running. Then I thought to myself, does it make sense to get that vs a cheaper barefoot vibram since they are all barefoot regardless. Seeing that you are running with the cheapest option (i thought about KSO EVO since it seemed to be the cheaper option for a "running"), I think you convinced me that the cheapest option KSO will work just as good. Thank you! .
I love my KSO EVOs and thought I'd try the original KSOs, but I actually didn't like them at all. The way the velcro strap is attached on the sides gave my feet too much arch support (which I definitely don't want on a pair of FiveFingers) and the sole felt weirdly built up under the heel, so I didn't keep them. This is just my personal opinion of course, but if you want a pair of very thin FiveFingers that lets you feel the ground I recommend the KSO EVOs any day!
I know what you’re saying! The Velcro straps didn’t go over well with a lot of wear-testers and the materials inside the KSO aren’t the softest -- they feel a little aggressive on the feet which is why many prefer wearing socks with them. Im with you on the KSO EVOs as they are my preferred choice by far. I love that the EVOs fit lower, the materials are wayyyyyyy softer, there seems to be less material density and the shoe just feels overall more agile and lighter. KSO EVO’s all the way!! Thanks for your insights! Happy running :D
DBSKfanEternally okay with this comment I'm really wondering if maybe I did make a better choice in picking the evils which are arriving today I do not know which one to buy and I am so frustrated they don't even sell them here in the city where I live they used to they say they do online but they don't we'll see when the evils get here have a good day bye
I love how wide your feet look in them...that’s how I hope to get my feet....I have naturally wide feet but being in constructing, I’ve had to wear frickin narrow toebox steel cap boots most of my life, so with wide feet, these boots have really deformed my to little toes inwards over the years. But now I’m done with that type of work commercially, I want to get my feet back as they were & should be, which is why I’m looking at these shoes (the kso’s in particular). So thanks for the great review! 👏 Update: I bought the classics. I LOVE the treadles soles so I can wear them inside without having to worry about mud stuck in the tread. I tried the V-trails too while I was in the shop & I noticed the classics are so much wider - another plus for the classics.....if I get a 2nd pair, I might go for the Evo’s as I’d imagine them to be very similar to the classics but with laces.
Super detailed review and very good explanations. I was wondering if you might have a helpful suggestion for me. I am running/walking at a very slow pace to build up my aerobic base and although I can keep good running form at a higher speed, at this slow speed it's difficult to feel i am doing that. Any ideas? Thanks for the great videos. It helps to reinforce my belief that natural running is the best for longevity.
Hey Ken! Thanks a lot for the positive feedback! I really appreciate it! Glad you found it helpful! One trick to get slow running to feel sustainably comfortable is to widen your step-width, which means getting the feet to land farther apart from each other, ensuring that your left foot lands directly under your left hip and not on the mid-line, and that your right foot lands under your right hip. This will really help smooth out your stride, you’ll bounce less, too. It will make for a smoother, more responsive and safer ride. Also, keep your arms tucked into your sides too. These are 2 handy tips that will help create more balanced footsteps, making you feel more swift and less rigid and less ‘thuddy’ with the ground. Let me know how you make out :D Thanks again for the nice remarks!! Enjoy the run :D
The kso is one of my favorites sad that they discontinued the kso treks that was leather . Vibram needs to make the toe pockets more durable with leather or, some type of rubber in the fabrics that they use on the toe pockets I'm on rocks and pebbles a lot . Wrote to them they don't seem to be paying attention . The KSO that you show here is the original one of my favorite, I' like the new military camo low cut 2 mm out sole just do not like lace ups this one has a lace with a draw string that is a little better but , you then lose the spandex sock fit around the ankle more stuff gets in with lace ups and they look stupid on toe shoes some are an exception .
Can you review the V-Alpha? It seems to be an Outdoor specific version of the KSO or KSO EVO. It’s a newer model and I don’t see a lot of reviews for it.
I am 8 minutes and 15 seconds into your video and I believe this is the second time that I've heard you compliment the shoe over your kso Evo sadly I bought the kso Evo on your recommendation I work at an event center cleaning and I'm on cement climbing stairs and stuff all day long bending stretching climbing on cement another hard surfaces and I thought that you said in your other video about the kso Evo with your running back and forth like this one that the Evo's were the best out of the kso shoes and so now I am not even going to open them up sadly even though my toe is partially stress fractured I'm now going to wait for another pair to come in I don't even know if I can open up them and try them for a day but this is the second comment that you've made about the evils being less helpful then these shoes so now I'm sorry I don't know what to believe
Would you say that these lock in your heel better then the KSO-Evo’s? I have the Evo’s (my first Vibrams) and my heel moves on my left foot when doing quick movements, such as sprinting and jumping. I know I’m sized right because my big toe is very snug. It’s a bummer since these were my first barefoot shoes.
Been following you for some years now and the quality of your videos really show the test the explanations and sound. Keep up the good work.

Fantastic! Thanks a lot. I'll give it a try later today and let you know but this sounds like the ticket:) Ken
Any time my friend! Hope it helps! Happy running :D

Absolutely! I will get right on that! Thanks for the request my friend :D

I want these ,the swimming shoes wear out after a half marathon.
Would wearing socks affect anything? I don't want to have to wash them every week if I can stand to
just clean your feet before putting them on, that’s how I keep the inside of my shoes clean.

how about beach, sand, they are good? I was looking for VFF Bikilas as well
great review! you're a cutie!
