I think this X model tune doesn't need to go heavier. Considering where you ride. Ive seen that you are looking to port. Perhaps you need some YZ spec items, like CDI or an actual YZ. Good to see you got it woth a better setting. I have a buddy with a 125X. He ran the STIC metering block and he says that a FWW, taller tire and down a tooth on rear sprocket had no imact on power. He also tested at 36° to upper 80° F. No need for adjusting the carb. BTW, he decided to reduce power by moving to the Lectron Pro Series, as it wasn't too abrupt and potent. He was actually wanting to have to use the clutch more like a 125 rider. He also really wanted to test for Matt at Lectron. They had previously done Applied head and STIC testing. Good videos BTW.
I have read a lot of people recommend flywheel weights on YZ250s. Personally, the snappy, responsive nature of the engine is one of my favorite things about the bike. I'm not convinced it's right for me but hopefully I can borrow one and try it out...
We both prefer the same thing out of the YZ. I had this kit on the shelf for 2 months because of a hesitation for the same reason what you have. I think what you can gain is more than what you loose
What were you looking to achieve with the weight? Those are usually for woods guys who want low end rideability in tight stuff and aren't worried about revving fast on fast tracks like you ride.
I spend a lot of money on the 300 to run like the YZ I even have the new ERM software uploaded on to it but I like think She still can beat the 300. She es a natural Beas!
That heavier fly wheel is for tight, technical trail systems. Maybe trail systems with hard pack dirt and rocky conditions or clay conditions like Georgia.
I'm luck enough to have both and I can't put one above the other. Both of them are excellent bike with the mods I have done to them. Which one you like better ?
Wow, she sounds amazing and seems super fast!
I put an 11 ounce steahly fww on my yz 250 and it was a huge improvement for offroad riding
Pretty bike! I wish I could buy all of them!
Even with the flywheel, the bike is still rippy, it takes the edge off and helps reduce stalling ...

I just like to get a bit more out of the engine down below That's what I'm after. There is many way to do it. Thanks for the info
@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atvtry apex head an lectron carb that what I have yz125 2003 an it runs strong 💪
@@michaelgarland579 I'm sure those are work well! Definitely better than the stock set up
Put the heaviest weight I could get on my yz125x and it made a huge difference at slow speed.

Helps me with low end torque, No problem with reviewing it at all
Shouldn’t that weighted fly come stock on the X
I think it's should have come with the X especially they have the parts on the shelf
She absolutley screams! How is the power compared to your 300 XCW?

@@roberturmosi-dirtbike-atv did you not put the tsp head on 300
@@al-ew3mj I did put it on but that bike is still to linear which is good on the mountains. I like a bit more "hitting" power like the YZ have

How do you like that bike vs the ktm
