I have finally killed my first giant buck! I have waited so many years and gone deer hunting so many times to have an opportunity to kill a big buck and the waiting finally paid off.

Congrats on a great take. At the time you took the shot I wonder how fast your heart was racing. Did you get a dressed out weight? I took my first buck with a 12ga. rifled slug. Now you have a memory for life.

Thank you! My heart was pounding! And it didn't help at all when my first shot misfired lol. I didn't do the best job dressing it. I got more meat off a doe I shot last year, I never weighed how much I got though.

I would use a rifle, but for some reason Ohio only limits us to straight walled cartridges. So a shotgun or something like a 450 bushmaster is all I can use.
