I like the bonus tip of ripping off the torn tail and making the ultra vibe a senko. Excellent idea. Over a dozen years ago, I was competing in a bass tournament as a co-angler. The boater showed me this exact information you have shown us in this video. Since that time, I always have a speed worm rod rigged up whenever I go fishing. The only time it doesn’t work is the dead of winter here in Alabama. While watching this video, I got to thinking. This speed worm technique has probably caught me more bass than any other technique I use. I highly recommend this technique to new anglers and even old school bassers. Another tip is save the torn speed worms. You can use the torn worm for ned rigs and even trailers on chatterbaits and spinnerbaits. Save money. Also, with a heavier weight, you can flip and punch mats with the speedworm. This ulta vide speed worm is a total package.
Thank you for the consistently good content. I appreciate your ability to provide very detailed explanations of these techniques while keeping the videos relatively short. One of the most informative fishing channels out there
Colors in Canada and NY that works well, I like zoom stuff, my favorite is the dead ringer!!! Thx " color " i mess with blue gills and they tell what to throw. If they don't want it I don't throw it,the color they are aggressive on is the best. This never failed me!!!
I grabbed some up in cali 420 (The color and name caught my eye) 😂. It looks awesome but I've never caught any fish with it. Thanks for the tips. I don't have grass around I've just thrown it around wood and rock.
Nathan watched your videos for a while now subscribed today think you do a good job with the educational part now have not ever used #5 with that size worm but looking at your set up I see ware a 5 could give extra room with the worm collapsed on hook so I will definitely give it a try
I've been waiting for this video Nathan. I just rigged my speed worm in June bug because, I'm heading for Florida in 10 days! I saw another video where the guy said straight braid is fine for this technique in Florida because of the tannic water. I like the 4/0 offset hook for my bait with the regular size Zoom Speed Worm. I also have the Sun Gill color.
Good luck! You can definitely use straight braid in Florida as well as a 4/0 hook. Hope you catch them and can share your success and pictures of some fish with the technique!
I've been using a red sspike it marker on my braided line the past few years with good success, but I live in Tn. Roland Martin always spoke about using a black sharpie but I like the smell of the s pike it. Good luck.
Good luck down here. Past week I've caught quite a few on a speed worm, 3/16 oz weight, no peg, straight 40 pound braid. Junebug, candy bug, Cali 420 and black sapphire have all caught fish depending on water color.
@@chrisjones3375 Thanks. I'll be in the Lake City area looking for some bank fishing spots. I have my Junebug speed worm rigged on straight braid but, mine is pegged. I want the rig to stay together. Being from up North I don't have 40 LB braid on and, I didn't want to change my whole setup for a few days of fishing. I'll just have to make good use of my drag if I get lucky and hook a big one. Can I assume you did so well with an unpegged weight because you were fishing the bottom instead of suspended bass? Gotta get my 7 day license when I arrive. Glad you did well! Tight lines.
@@robertbrost7777 I just haven't pegged it because I haven't. I didn't think it makes a huge difference unless you're in heavier cover. I've been kayaking ponds and small lakes, fishing shallow grass and scattered wood. I think anything over 20 pound braid would be good enough, I have 40 on because I throw a lot of swim jig and spinnerbaits on that rod as well, but my saltwater snook rod has 10 on it so just fish it right and you'll be set
I am wondering if this works with other tactics associated with a light moderate action spinning set up. I heard that hook ups on that gear only work with treble hooks and other methods with single hook the hook set isn’t as great compared to a fast action. I mainly want to use 1/8 oz jigs/flys, Ned rigs, fluke style Texas rig, along with some rapalas I have. Fishing for steelhead, brown trout, coho, chinook, and small mouth. I have another rod that is medium light fast that I use as my float set up 8’6”. Lots of species, and trying to find a rod and curious if hook set gets hindered by that moderate action. Thank you for any input
@ how do balance lighter rigs like ned/fluke on spinning gear? My medium fast action 3/8 oz. as it’s lowest lure rating just spins everything lighter with weight on it and a crazy amount of slack has to be pulled up. Thank you.
Is this more effective in the Florida type states or would this work just as well up north like new Jersey and New York?..really enjoy your videos great education
Did you wait to turn the hook bend because you are using that Grip Pin hook? Would you have done it differently if your hook didn't have that grip pin?
@nathanquincefishing7122 I suppose so but keywords are small business bait companies that have to try to compete with these big corporations. Thanks for your reply...free country right 👍🏼
Dude get over yourself. I watch all his videos and I think one other time in at least a year or longer he’s used that line. There are other channels that use those clickbait words every time they make a video.
I know go watch something else. This dude knows what he's talking about. Bet it does catch five time more. When you going slow jigs a worm. So just go man we don't like that here. God speed

Same setup except a glass bead and a paddle tail in early spring. Also awesome for vegetation. Revisit Larry Nixon’s megabucks win.
The tail thing is the best part. I learned this the first time I used one! Great vid!
Thanks!
Thank you so much and I appreciate you information 😊
Great video!!! Just started to use that worm last year & had great success!!!! Thanks for showing the helpful tips!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
Awesome!
Very informative and easy to follow
Awesome worm been using it for years, great for summer heavy Neko rig too 🙊
Thank you for the information
Great stuff, thanks for the content!
Nathan have used the 6 Sense Panorama just wanted to see if you have fished it and if it has worked for you thanks bud great video 👍🏻
I just got the chance to use it end of last year but will be trying it more soon!

@Nathan Quince Fishing do a video on what lures you recommend for bank fishing in Florida
Any of the lures I recommend or fish from my boat will work from shore as well but I have some bank fishing content coming soon!
I have a pack of these mustad hooks somewhere I’ll have to test em on this
Love the vids

I would be hesitant to recommend that type of rod for it as it might be too light to get a good hookset

I catch tons of fish in the summer in Pennsylvania with it!
@Nathan Quince Fishing great content as always
Thank you!
Did you wait to turn the hook bend because you are using that Grip Pin hook? Would you have done it differently if your hook didn't have that grip pin?
Usually I leave my baits upside down until the clear the bend then flip them so it doesn’t rip where you are trying to rig it
Weightless babbyyyyy
They love the fall where im at,if you dont get it on the fall 99% chance you're not getting bit.
@Nathan Quince Fishing you need to try the Z-Man Turbo FattyZ
I’ll check it out!
What water temp does this work best in?
Usually 55+
Adding an extra weight may help to sink the line
I have caught 1000s bass on this bait Texas rig or top water bait
Does this still work during winter?
In Florida it will but the rest of the country might be a little tougher
Been swimming them for years.
Where you fishing at?
Florida
@@nathanquincefishing7122I’m from Winter Haven where u at
You cna hardly beat black and blue
Those are good colors where I fish as well
👀👀👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Try the 6” on the Gamakatsu Skip Gap Shaky Head. I dare you.
Could you please give a shout out to private USA small business bait companies instead of big box stores that probably come from China
Zoom baits are made in the US!

Can we stop with the "CATCH 5X MORE BASS" clickbait titles...? As if that was even possible to know.
Dude get over yourself. I watch all his videos and I think one other time in at least a year or longer he’s used that line. There are other channels that use those clickbait words every time they make a video.

A lot of mathing went Into this man. Come on. Really though, it's getting silly. Catch more bass would be fine for me.
@Get_Outside727 I think that's his point. Everyone is doing it. Except TB and they dont need the clickbait. Get over yourself. It was a mild comment.
5\0 too big a hook, better luck with 3/0 straight shank hook with no bobber stop.
Negative
So Alabama rig?
Did you lose weight?
I have lost 100 pounds!
@ congrats man! Thanks for the content! Love my Horney Toads and Speed Craws. Now I’ll have to try this one…
What a bad video, 5x0 is still 0 so why lie! 😂
