Hi Chris. My family and I (wife and 6 year old daughter) absolutely love your videos. I really appreciate you taking the time to make them. I know that you make your own gravity fed filter systems out of Rubbermaid stock tanks and they are typically layered with matala filter pads in them. How many GPH can you push through one of your filter tanks? How much flow for the 70 gallon stock tank filter? The 100 gallon? The 150 gallon?
Hi, thank you for watching my videos! Unfortunately Rubbermaid doesn't make the 70 anymore. I like to use the 100 with one 4" bottom drain, and a pump between 3,000 to 4,000gph. The 150, I use for two 4" bottom drains, and pumps 4,000 to 7,500gph. The matala pads are good, but I prefer a less ridged pad that is about 1" thick.
Interesting informative video. Thank you for taking the time to make it
Thank you for watching. 🙂
