TT membership doubled this month. My membership is a monthly payment and was $45 every month, then went to $88 in the middle of a 2 year plan. But from $40-$60 a night stay in most parks, you can't beat the pricing on it. Been full timing for a year and I don't want to go back. Honestly wish I would've thought to do this life a long time ago.
I have thought about TT membership but didn't realize that it could save you that much. A big thank you for the Nam vets tributes it really means a lot.
Been a member since 85. Outdoororld originally. You do pay extra in tt. For electric 50 amps but only in the south, northeast you don't pay extra. I do not know where you took this vidio but the good sites are usually taken by anuals. One thing for sure tt is good for fulltimers on a limited income.
@@WaywardWaggs I just wish they'd get more member campgrounds in the center of the country. If you aren't on the coast or around the great lakes, there's nothing. They need some mountian parks, not just beach parks.
We also bought a used membership. And we upgraded to an Adventure package. It's the only way we could afford to do this full time, highly recommended!!
Thank you for doing this video Dustin and Leslie. It was good to explain about how your membership is going and how you saved money compared to this year to last year. I think that that’s great saving there. Time had sure flown since you signed with them too! It went by fast. Thank you for Vietnam vet video. I love when you do those in memory of the of the vets. So sad. But I’m proud they all served our country. I want to thank you too Dustin for serving our country as well. You are very much appreciated. Love you and Leslie. 🤗😘❤
We have only had a couple of times where we were unable to get availability. If you book as soon as your booking window opens, you generally won't have any problem.
Great Video! We went through Kimberly and her Dad at CMO to get our TT membership. Good experience and enjoy our stays. We have stayed 32 nights with 80 more reserved!
You can buy some that you can resell later. They are barely any more maybe 1k. We didn't use cmo but bought it directly from someone else, however I strongly recommend cmo still. Much easier to deal with and less risk
Sorry guys but I couldn't finish this video even though I am one of your subscribers because my husband and I are so upset with The campground Outlet and Kimberly. We purchased a pre-owned membership for over $4,000 back in April and still have not gotten our cards or membership #. After many left messages by phone and email, we finally heard from Kimberly almost 3 weeks ago saying she would look into it and apologized and didn't understand what the delay is and would send an email to TT, but again nothing since then. Just wanted to give a heads up to any of your viewers that are thinking about buying a membership right now.
The delay is with TT, not Kimberly and CMO. All Kimberly can do is sell it to you and send it over to TT. TT only has two people working on transfers. Ours took several months also. Sorry you are having a bad experience but it really isn't CMOs fault and there is nothing CMO can do to speed up the process on TT's end.
@@WaywardWaggs I hear ya. Just letting some of your viewers know that may be thinking of buying a TT right now that it will take a long time to get it processed. We are now into 6 months, not just a few months, and still waiting. With the hurricane in Florida it will be even longer. Keep up the videos guys and the help with giving to the Veterans and thanks for your service Dustin.
Hi again. I wanted to let you guys know that I heard from Kimberly today. Long story short.... the membership that we thought we had bought had been transferred to a family member by the people selling it and somehow wasn't updated in the TT system. So our money/account had just been hanging out for the last 6 months and nobody picked up on it. Kimberly is now working on finding us a new one and if it is more than we had previously paid they will cover the cost for us, which is really nice of them. After you read this if you guys want to delete my messages about TT please do so. Thanks
We bought new because we needed our membership quicker than what was possible with a used membership. As for the TT parks, many are more rustic and most are well removed from civilization so you have to travel a ways for groceries, etc. But, we don't stay in a park for the amenities in the park. We need a place to park and sleep while we explore the area. TT parks are great for that. Certainly, Encore parks are head and shoulders ahead of TT when it comes to the facilities and those are a treat. If you want 'resort' camping, and expect the campground to provide entertainment, forget TT. However, if you want a place to stay while you explore, it's great.
Great video , we love our TT membership it has saved us tons of money and we got our first ( used ) package from Kimberly and when we wanted to upgrade to the Adventure package she pointed us in the right direction on who to talk to . Stay well and travel safe .
Even tho we will only spend 6-7 months a year in the USA, it would still pay dividends to use....Wendy is a resort kind of girl as well lol...I will investigate to see if they have any properties in Canada...but if we go that route we will be sure to use them.. Thanks for sharing 🙂🙂‼️
There is one Thousand Trails in Canada. It is over in Lindell Beach, BC so it is a pretty good ways away from you guys. It is called Cultus Lake Thousand Trails. I'm not sure how good it is. We have never been to it.
I was hoping you had a new tip I didn't know about, but it is hard to compete with TT. We spend about 250 days a year in the system. At $40 a night that saves about $9K after yearly dues. We have visited 46 states over the last three years and would have spent a fortune if it had not been for our TT membership. I got my membership from family, but when I reached out to CMO about a different membership they responded quickly and provided all of the information I needed to make an informed decision. I am happy to see you partnered with them.
My only issue with TT is the middle of the country. I’ve heard some parks aren’t the best as well. With that said, once we hit the road film time, we’ll be picking up a membership.
We wish they would expand more to the middle of the country but the money we save when we are in TT parks helps with the cost when we do travel to the middle of the US.
If y’all come Boondocking with us this summer you’ll save a whole lot more money!😮 We are going to take advantage of TT in AZ, OR & WA. Boondocking thru AZ NV UT and Idaho
We belong to TT/NACO many many many years ago. At that time only me,beers were allowed to use the parks, no public allowed. I’ve heard that now there are only so many sites allocated for TT members. Is that true? Also we no longer have an RV do they have any plans for those who would only be interested in us g cabins or rental units? Thank you
I'm not sure if they only have memberships for cabins. The Thousand Trails parks usually have plenty of spots for members. The Encore (TT add on) parks have a limited number of spots for TT members.
TT is not cheap. I prefer forest service campgrounds or stare parks. Unless it's hot, full hookups is not necessary. No TT parks in the middle of country. Live out west & never had a desire to spend any real time in places like Florida. Prefer UT, MT, WY,CO, and such.
But its not free, when and if you decide to stop RV life you still have to pay the yearly fees (its time share) unless you resale you membership which in it self is a gamble. Glad it worked for you, but is it that way for everyone right, do you keep paying when you stop traveling?
@@saintb6969 There is a small monthly fee if you suspend it. If you cancel it completely, there is no more fee but you can never turn it back on if you completely cancel it.
Begging your pardon but in reality y’all didn’t stay for free; you basically prepaid for camping via the initial expense of membership along with annual dues. Hence 16 wks x 7 days = 112 days of camping divided into your overall costs of $5400 = $48.22 per night via Thousand Trails annual membership and the annual maintenance fee. At only the $1100 annual maintenance dues the cost for 112 days = $9.82. Therefore basically after the expense for membership and then only having annual dues that’s where the best payoff comes in for resort style camping. But didn’t you find it rather annoying trying to plan in advance for booking out dates? That’d be my biggest challenge as I don’t always plan ahead. 🏕
@@WaywardWaggs - Gosh you responded before I completed my thoughts. I didn’t realize as I was typing that it showed up at your end so quickly. Would you please follow up on the remainder of my comment. Was my final calculation correct? 🚌
@@lindagolden9892 Sorry. I just happed to be logged in when you commented. That looks right to me. Less than $10 per day is pretty good. We'll take that. Ya. It is a pain to plan that far out but there is no cancelation fee for Thousand Trails, so we can book in and cancel later if our plans change.
@@WaywardWaggs - Oh…thanks for sharing. I can see after initial investment has been recouped then overall it could be a great deal. But doesn’t one have to add on additional regions at variable costs so as to have more availability across the countryside?

Lol, backing up totally sucks! 😆

It depends on the area. The closer you are to a town, the easier it will be to set yp the infrastructure.

Begging your pardon but in reality y’all didn’t stay for free; you basically prepaid for camping via the initial expense of membership along with annual dues.
