If you live in a gated community, with a holiday home in the south of France, own properties in Dublin and a share portfolio worth over a million Euros; then massive immigration is wonderful. The irony is that while its gone down in recent years, in terms of dependency ratios & fertility rates, Ireland has long had pretty much the most favourable demographics of any western nation. Ireland should be the least in need of 'new blood' Meanwhile the EU8 nations have dire fertility rates, mass emigration, and have been doing fine. Better than fine, actually. The way I see it is we knew immigration would fail before we even tried it. We knew because the large scale introduction of women into the work force in the 60s/70s/80s didnt double household wealth, but rather diminished the value of labour so that to buy a house & have enough income to provide for a family, both parents had to work. All that immigration has done is repeat that. Which was precisely the aim, reduce wages, either with forcing both parents to work, or permitting economic migration. I wouldnt mind so much if it was done in an honest, purely economic fashion as it is in the middle east, but we do it in such a way that it creates great social stress.

The UK benefitted by billions every year in free and easy trade. Much more than the money you paid in for membership. And immigration has gone UP since you left only now it's Indians and Pakistanis instead of Poles and Lithuanians.

Refugees and skilled migrants coming to work in Ireland, specially health workers have always been made welcome to Ireland but majority of migrants coming now are men of fighting age without ID , why would you throw your documentation away if you're genuine, Ireland for the Irish, the way the country is going Ireland will lose it's identity.

The irony is that while its gone down in recent years, in terms of dependency ratios & fertility rates, Ireland has long had pretty much the most favourable demographics of any western nation. Ireland should be the least in need of 'new blood'
Meanwhile the EU8 nations have dire fertility rates, mass emigration, and have been doing fine. Better than fine, actually.
The way I see it is we knew immigration would fail before we even tried it. We knew because the large scale introduction of women into the work force in the 60s/70s/80s didnt double household wealth, but rather diminished the value of labour so that to buy a house & have enough income to provide for a family, both parents had to work.
All that immigration has done is repeat that. Which was precisely the aim, reduce wages, either with forcing both parents to work, or permitting economic migration.
I wouldnt mind so much if it was done in an honest, purely economic fashion as it is in the middle east, but we do it in such a way that it creates great social stress.

When the asylum seekers receive their Irish passports, they can be in London/B’ham/Manchester the next day under the Common Travel Area. i Married an American girl i went after been together 12 years she moved here after we married in America wen our wedding was cancel due to kovid i was on disability aged 50 they took it away cos i couldn't produce the flight details or who paid for it as my email was hacked and closed the year before it took me months to get them up and send them in they claim they never received them in the post cos i never regesterd it i had to do it all over again now it's been over a year not one single cent i received two xmases with no money still waiting on the desision while these non Irish walk into Ireland no papers getting everything my neighborhood is crawling with em getting worse every week im so angry at this traitor government im guna Lose my house my rent keeps building until i get money i don't want it now i was vengeance
