      But if you ignore the actual reasons behind it (the egalitarian ideologies and the indecisiveness of Western politicians), and instead start yelling something about solar flares, lizard people, and Jewish conspiracies - that would be indicative of a certain mental condition.

    What people forget is that migrants tend to be young and visible on the streets while the established population tends to be older. So, yes, there are "only" 16% non European people, but in schools it's often 50/50 or sometimes 80/20 non Europe to established. Averages are misleading also, migrants tend to stick together and if they don't get broken up like in Denmark, you will have Ghettos.

You don't even have anywhere close to 2.1 fertility. Data published about immigration to the Netherlands that I've read concluded that even working class polish migrants (for example) are a financial loss for Dutch society. The high level of social benefits that are offered are that much more expensive than a working class person can contribute back, that even a normal working class person will cost society more than it will contribute. Considering the larger growth of lower paid working class migrants, that means the social benefits system becomes unsustainable long term. This doesn't even include the large group of 2-3th generation migrants that are unemployed at 2-3x the rate, or large groups of specific refugees (in particular from certain African countries) that have lower than 25% work participation (i.e. 75% does not work). You have to dig deep into CBS (national statistics government body) publication with hundreds of pages to get this kind data. I can't understand why the clear unsustainability of this whole thing doesn't get more attention. You don't have to hate people to be honest that a system is not made to support itself financially in this way. But I guess it's what people say, it's risky and dangerous to touch the topic. It's sad there's such a stigma. Oh well.. :-/

    The Dutch figures can be misleading. The third generation is considered the 'native Dutch'. So there are more people of color than there are on paper. I am Dutch and I am colored. I am third generation of Indonesian descent. My parents were born in the Netherlands, both my grandparents in the former Dutch East Indies on Java and the Moluccas. After Indonesia's independence, approximately 350,000 inhabitants migrated to the Netherlands in 1950. Currently there are between 1.5 and two million people with an Indonesian background. Most of them are third and fourth generation, but are registered as native.
    The first major migration flows in the Netherlands were mainly the result of decolonization and started after the Second World War between 1950 and 1965. After the Netherlands lost the Dutch East Indies and Dutch New Guinea, many different ethnic groups came to the Netherlands from the Indonesian archipelago. These were the Javanese, Moluccans, Chinese, Papuans and the mixed race. When Suriname became independent, approximately 300,000 Surinamese came to the Netherlands in the 1970s. This was also a very diverse ethnic population consisting of Africans (desc. former slaves), Indians, Javanese, native Indians and Chinese. Then there are also the Dutch Caribbean islands, Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire, Sint Maarten, Saba and Sint Eustatius. These are also all mixed population groups, where the Dutch used to mix with slaves and native Indians.
    But all these communities from the former colonies are reasonably integrated into Dutch society. They have a more Western upbringing and know Dutch norms and values.
    Migration in the Netherlands went wrong due to the massive influx of guest workers from Morocco and Turkey. I don't blame the first and second generations for their failure in Dutch society, this was more due to the Dutch government that did not want them to integrate. After all, they were guest workers. There are currently more than a million Muslims in the Netherlands, mostly brides from Turkey and Morocco and many asylum seekers from conflict countries, which are mostly Islamic countries.

    Migration in itself isn't a problem...the problem arises when you're either not able to assimilate the newborn second generations because they are too concentrated in certain areas where the natives have virtually disappeared (like the French banlieues or certain parts of Sweden, Belgium and the UK) or when they don't want to assimilate because they don't agree with the core values of the country they are living in...or both

      @fnym9rdsavsffdik9a25 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      migration itself can turn into a problem when it comes to the size and duration of the immigration, even if you have immigrants that are model immigrants as in they live a week inside a country and they in 1 week have gotten the same beliefs and attitudes as the native population you would still have problems if a country can only assimilate 30 over a week and you dump 60 immigrants onto them, it will result in 30 un-assimilated immigrants, of course (to put on the Alex Jones funny hat) the real reason for the immigration tap being opened at full is likely because of the 2008 financial crises, both the left and right (establishment politicians) became afraid of another financial crash, they located what was the reason for the crash and it was in the housing market, they started looking for a way to prevent a future housing market collapse and one of the best way would be to increase the demand of houses now the question is how do you do that?, the answer is simple you need more more buyers, how do you get more buyers?, well you have the quick solution that is import immigrants, but the problem is that the immigrants do not usually have a lot of money but luckily you happen to have a easy way to extract money and give them to the new immigrants and that is taxing the native population, of course that working in the short term, in the long term on the other hand you might see attitudes similar to the german 1930's which is likely to happen, hopefully it happen after russia gets beaten since I am sure nobody want to see that happen, the other option is to limit immigration sharply and then add onto nativist policies to increase the amount of native european people which is the least dangerous policy with the least bloodshed of course the politicians rule the world.

So it is not possible that the net immigration of the whole of EU in 2022 was only 1.200.000 individuals. Also, the data of foreign-born people in Spain is not correct. You are displaying the percentage of Spanish population that does not have the Spanish nationality, which is around 15%. However, because of how easy it is to get the Spanish nationality for latinamericans, there are may latinamericans in Spain holding the Spanish citizenship that were born abroad. If you look into the percentage of people in Spain born abroad, regardless of nationality, is closer to 19%. I can provide links to the official Spanish statistics if needed.

    I believe that none of those countries are facing problems as severe as those in Turkey. Not to mention the struggling economy, but also the significant influx of Syrians and Afghans into the country. Every now and then, European countries attempt to enhance Turkey's buffer state role (e.g., Meloni, etc.). The government is content with this arrangement because it receives funds from the EU (even though these do not cover all costs), but pro-European (not necessarily pro-EU) Turks are dissatisfied with it. They are concerned about how their country is changing, how the culture is being affected, and how taxes are increasingly directed towards newcomers. As a result, far-right parties are gaining traction in an effort to protect our demographics.
    I would like to emphasize that we, as a country, do not have a history of migration, and the programs to integrate migrants are insufficient. Unfortunately, the majority of the refugees are middle-aged Afghan males, about whose backgrounds and possible affiliations with organizations in their country we know nothing. People fear a civil war. Please do not interpret this as racism; it is simply an attempt to protect the future of our country. Additionally, both Afghans and Syrians are employed under very poor conditions, which is also unacceptable.

Also, America doesn't consider foreign-born individuals in the same way as the EU. America has citizenship on birth, which means only the actual individuals born abroad are mentioned.

    My own grandfather is african, he was born there in the late 1940s in AEF (french Africa) meaning he was born french. As a citizen of France he moved to the mainland to get to the university.

    • Which benefits have been provided to the host nations by said largest & most rapid demographic shift in human history?

    According to the official statistics from Statbel for Belgium: in the Brussels Capital Region 77,4% of the inhabitants had foreign heritage. This 77,4% is divided in 29,1% from the EU27 and 48,3% from outside the EU27. For Flanders 27,2% had foreign heritage (10,8% EU27 and 16,4% outside the EU27) and for Wallonia it was 35,8% (21,1% EU27 and 14,7% outside the EU27). Foreign heritage is defined as someone who was born outside of Belgium or of which at least one parent was born outside of Belgium. This means that third migration immigrants are not included, so the "real" numbers for Brussels are probably slightly higher.
