As the world prepares to celebrate Christmas, a powerful nuclear submarine sails under the polar ice cap at the North Pole. A laser drill cuts a hole up through the ice, through which von Richter, captain of the sub, enters the village above and captures Santa Claus at gunpoint, taking him to Christmas Island, a barel atoll in the mid-Pacific. Can Wonder Woman rescue him in time to ride for Christmas?
This standalone album was released in 1977 by Power Records, a division of Peter Pan records. During the 1970s, Power Records released a number of storybook records based on comic and television characters, such as Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Batman, The Six Million Dollar Man, Star Trek, Space: 1999, and many more. While many sets included a large format comic book and vinyl LP that played along with the comic, this release contained only a 33 1/3 LP album with no comic.
These sets are out of print and difficult to find, often fetching ridiculous sums on eBay due to their value among collectors. This album contained three stories, of which this is the third and is from the B side.
