AccuFACE for iClone 8 is an AI facial tracker powered by Nvidia RTX GPU, capable of capturing facial expressions from both webcams and conventional video files. Beyond its exceptional accuracy and responsiveness under proper lighting conditions, AccuFACE can smoothly synchronize facial movements with voice input. It fine-tunes lip and tongue articulation using proprietary AccuLIPS technology. Its timecode matching also ensures precise full-frame animation recording essential for professional productions and industrial applications. This UNLOCKS a lot of possibilities for creators like us. We can inmediate set up actors and ask them to perform, and then let the anitmator do the rest when the facial recordings are all collected. Actors can be anyone, speaking any language from anywhereee on the world!

AccuFACE will take a lot of animators to the next level. Facial animation isn't much fun and it can be difficult, this breaks that barrier for a lot of us.

I haven't run into this problem. Maybe try another camera if you have one available, otherwise I'd suggest opening a support ticket at Reallusion as I couldn't find anything in the feedback tracker about it either. @@yghjjhgj

@@yghjjhgj If iClone8 and AccuFACE are connected: In the Motion Live panel,
1. Select your character from the list, click the warning triangle next to "Face"
2. Choose AccuFace
This will connect your characters face to the incoming mocap.
3. You can now preview or record in the normal way within the Motion Live panel..

I wish we could use custom head meshes with this
With CC4 and iClone 8, they've added the ability to use custom characters. You'd just have to create the necessary blend shapes.

I am facing issue where the character face does not move at all (camera tracking works fine, Motion link connected). Recorded video does not work as well, so currently I cannot use AccuFace at all. Would greatly appreciate if someone could enlighten me please. I use RTX 3080 Laptop.

hmmm, the results don't seem to look any better than the previous results with Motion Live. And fidelity wise, still not a patch on Metahuman animator. Hoping it'll improve over time though.
Yeah, even at the sale price it's a hard sell if you already have the iPhone LiveFace. Definitely a better workflow than holding my iPhone up to the monitor to get a facial performance from a video recording, but would love to see tests of how it compares.
I played with it briefly. In some small ways, it's better at capturing overall facial expression than the iPhone app with lidar (which is not very good at all to start in my opinion), but it's ability to track lips for speech appears to be God awful. Unusable without acculips it would seem to me. Compared to metahuman animator its utter crap. If you have the iPhone version, not a chance I'd grab this too.
Oh and it also won't record audio for acculips because it insists its running on a different computer than iclone and there is no control over what ip it binds to. First it picked a ip6 ip, which iclone does not work with, finds it to be an invalid ip format. I turned off ip6 and it bound itself to a 172 address rather than one of my network cards. So yeah, acculips may be easier said than done.

I guess you have to write the pronunciation of the words in English if your language is not English. I hope there is some kind of software that does that?

This only works with PC graphics cards. Reallusion unfortunately doesn't cater for Mac users.

Oohh, I gotta be honest guys, this doesn't actually look all that impressive. Even the examples in this video (which have usually been cherry picked for advertising) look extremely inaccurate. I've played with the iPhone facial capture and it looked quite a bit better than this.
And I still think Reallusions text to audio gives the best lip sync out of all these tools.

Unfortunately, a FAR CRY from what the Metahuman facial rig can do. Pity...

Sucks that u have to pay so much for this feature and STILL have a ton of work to do with acculips. Whole time metahuman animator gives way better results for free. I would rather use the metahuman head feature and then drive my metahuman through the live link and sending animations using the dummies. And that's the beauty of reallusion u have several methods to get the desired result.
I can’t believe we have to pay for things that should be how the general software should already work. Yet again this should be an upgrade to the basic functionality of the software. Not yet another paid add on
Then dont buy it. My concern would be if I was made to buy every plug in as an all includive ticket price, even though I may not need or want some. I dont want to be paying for anything Im not using. This way, you only pay for what you want and need.
