As long as 90% + in the sound ball park i think we're good . Anyone expecting 100% better get themselves a vintage unit with all its imperfections and quirks. Even then the known fact that each individual unit has discrepancies, well say no more 🤷🏾♂️. Thanks P.A.D.
Behringer need to deliver soon, I think they're ramping up production, it's not an easy business to forecast, specifically with the pandemic and how it affected manufacturing. Now I do believe Behringer are cutting mom and pop stores to cut costs, hey it's their business and the only way to reduce costs to buyers, is to remove the middle man. Super sellers still exist as they move volume, maybe Uli knows more about business than others thinks he does.
Are they shipping it yet? Because until it ships and people actually start getting them, it could come in a year, 5 years or never. I'm sorry, but new product announcements from Behrenger are just not believable any more. Have you played their OB-8 clone yet? Or their PPG clone? Or their CS-80 clone? Or their Sequential Desktop clone? I rest my case.
@@dankeplace Well yeah. We've seen demos of th UB-8 literally for years. Anderton's even reviewed one. But it's still not shipping and you still can't buy it. I know how Beta testing works. Every instrument gets beta tested--but they don't go into limbo and never ship. The tests finish, the maker waps up any issues and it's out the door. What Behrenger is doing is not anything that any other company is doing--basically hyping up excitement over something that they have no firm date to ship, if ever.
@@geoffk777 No Andertons did NOT do a review of one, they demoed one, there is a difference. Given Andertons is a major seller of Behringer products, this was nothing more than a PR video, simple.
@@dankeplace I very much doubt any beta testers have polyeights. It seems like Behringer themselves only have a mock up or prototype built into a deepmind shell. If Beta testers had this synth Behringer would be making videos showing how great it is. The UBXa clone they lent to Andertons ended up a bad move as the demo was not very inspiring and left many cold. This is not a cheap synth either.
There are plenty of good original polysixes for sale at affordable prices. it's an easy to find synth. I don't get why anyone would buy this clone. This is gonna cost 2/3rds the price of a real one. And who cares if it has midi. polysix was never really about sequencer type stuff anyway. It's biggest strengths are in it's chords.
I respect your position. But, there are many drawbacks to old vintage. I want nothing more to do with 40-50 yr old components or tech. I want everything I have to be digitally assisted, and with new components. I have some old stuff that I am done with. Tell me about your vintage pro 1
@@jjrusy7438 I don't have a pro1. I used to have a pro8 which was a pretty rare 8 voice poly synth. It was a nice synth released just as sequential went bust

I'm glad you're not stuck up about the reproductions of old synths. If the original creators aren't making it, then there's no reason to gatekeep it.

PolySix was my first hybrid back it the 80s. It was stolen and I never did replace it. This will be its replacement.

They have done a few good reproductions but that UB-XA sounds terrible. Hopefully that was just a momentary fail.
